Die-Versions and Sparkle n Sprinkle Hop - Awareness Campaign

Hello!

I've recently stepped down from the Die-Versions Design Team, and sadly, this is my last post.
It's been a great couple of years, and I've enjoyed working with Dani, the owner, and the wonderful ladies on the Design Team. Thanks, Dani, for inviting me to be a part of your family!
What could be more fun than ending my time with a fabulous blog hop???

Sparkle N Sprinkle and Die-Versions are partnering up for a very special joint blog hop, called the Awareness Campaign.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the newly released Die-Versions dies and the stamp sets revealed in the joint blog hop will go to help with cancer research.
Almost every one has been touched by cancer is one way or another.  Either you or a family member has had cancer or you know someone who has had cancer.  The Designers from both teams are joining together to help the fight to eradicate all cancers by inspiring you.

Not only are we debuting NINE new Die-Versions low profile dies (July 2015 Reveal - scroll down to the end of the reveal), Sparkle N Sprinkle is also revealing THREE stamp sets for this Awareness Campaign.

The SNS sets are:

Pink Ribbon Background 408  (digi version DIGI408)
Survivor 713    (digi version DIGI713T)
Awareness 714   (digi version  DIGI714T)

A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the Designers' blogs and will be announced on August 4th.  You won't know who the Mystery Designer is until after the Joint Blog hop, so remember to leave a comment with each of the Designers.

The Winner will be announced on the Die-Versions Facebook page, the Sparkle N Sprinkle Facebook page, the DV Blog, and on the SNS Blog and will receive a $25 gift certificate from BOTH Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Hope you are ready to hop!!!
If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop list at the Die-Versions blog - Die-Versions.

You should have arrived here from Shona's blog, where I'm sure you saw lots of delightful inspiration!

When you leave here, you will visit the uber-talented Mary!

(*tip: click on the Designer's Home tab or the title of her blog if you have any issues with the link.)

We hope you enjoy the Awareness Joint Blog Hop as much as we have enjoyed creating new projects for it.  We also hope that we have inspired you as well.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  (We love reading them too since your comments also inspire us.)

Here's what I made!

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Repeat Impressions Flip Stamps Blog Hop

Hello!

I am here with something so exciting to share!
It's been hard to keep this a secret!

Did you know that for a long time, Repeat Impressions has had a whole line of uber-fun Flip Stamps?

You can see them all right HERE!

And...now there are DIES to go with these Flip Stamps!

Yep, DIES!!!

You have your choice of a stitched die, or a fancy die...

These dies take all the measuring out of creating all those
square pieces for your Flip Card!

* * * * *

Here's the card that I made, using the new
Repeat Impressions Flip Fancy Die Set
and
Repeat Impressions Flip Set 7504-W Calories.

Pretty cute, right?

I wanted my little flap to have ice cream paper, so I used the outside the box technique, and stamped my sentiment right up against the banana split.  I wish now, that I had stamped the sentiment on the flap, but no use crying over spilled ice cream, right???  lol...

Hop along now, to see what my fellow Rock Stars have created
with their new sets!

One lucky reader will win one Flip Fancy Die Set, and one lucky reader will win one Flip Stitch Die Set!!!  How can you win?
Just comment like crazy!  You don't have to leave any comments, but...
you will get one chance to win, for every comment you leave!
Here's an example - if you comment on the RI blog, and each DT
members blog, you will have NINE chances to win!
Comment on only 3 blogs, and earn only 3 chances, etc...

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

Patti - You're here!

Happy Hopping!

Life's Better...

Happy Saturday!

Today, I'm sharing a card made with some really fun, new stamps,

For this card, I used:

Oh my goodness, that Sparky is so cute!  He's been popping up in so many Great Impressions creations, that I thought he needed a little R and R at the beach!

He was stamped on some white cardstock. I masked him, and overstamped with the sand, two or three times, until I got a great little sand pile.  Then, I colored the background water and sky with some copics.  The mask came off, and Sparky was colored with Copic markers.  I used some dies to give him a fun frame.

The best embellishment ever were the wee sunglasses!  My friend, Shirley, gave me a few of these many years ago, and while looking for googly eyes, I found them.  Looks a bit like Mr. Hollywood, right?  SO glad that I didn't have any googly eyes!

I'll be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Thanks for stopping by,
Patti J.

A Sad Farewell.....

I was not sure how to put into words what needed to be said, so I've simply cut and pasted Adela's farewell here.

Adela is one of the kindest, and most talented people I've met through paper crafting,
blogging, and DT work. I've enjoyed watching her family grown up the past few
years, and have been so sad and prayerful, when she's been going through
such difficult health issues.

Adela, if you are reading, you've been a wonderful 'boss', friend, and business woman,
and I will greatly miss working with you.

Enjoy your family, and feel better soon!

To My Dear Fellow Crafters,

It's always difficult to say good-bye, but it is time. Many of you already know that I have been dealing with health issues which prevented me from designing and crafting. I miss my craft time so much! I discovered my passion for crafting when I was only seven years old and it immediately became my favorite hobby! Needless to say, my love for crafting will now take a back seat in my everyday life, but it's okay because I now have more time to spend with family. I'm very tankful for the blessings that God has given me and continue to give to me and my family.

Thank you friends, for allowing me to share my love for paper crafting with you. It's always so exciting when I find AR projects online that someone has shared. Thank you for your lovely words and for being such a big part of my life!

I will be closing shop on July 31st. Please take advantage of the 50% off all files in my shop.  If you have AR Points accumulated, use them before the 31st.  If you have any questions not covered in the FAQ section of my website, please email me directly at adela@creationsbyar.com

Thank You and Farewell My Friends!

It's Photo Inspiration Challenge time at 'The House'

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built!
Today's challenge is an inspirational photo. This month, we got to choose from 2 inspiration photos.  I love the colors and the shine on both of these pics,
don't you???

Here are the inspiration photos:

Photo inspirations areSTILL the toughest challenges for me.
But...I'm learning to step outside my comfort zone!

The fireworks and flag were both inked up by daubing ink directly to the stamp, using a small finger dauber.
The fireworks were then stamped again with Versamark ink, and embossed with a fine silver embossing powder.
The image was shadow inked, by inking first with red, and then moving the stamp a bit, and stamping again in blue.
The 'flag' is popped up with foam dots.

Ta da!

It's been a busy month for us, so this is a pretty clean and simple card.
Hope you like it!

Now, come on over and join us in our Photo Inspiration Challenge!
Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps

Hello You....

It's my day to post on the Die-Versions blog, and it seemed like a great day to showcase a beautiful new Die-Version die.

For today's card, I've used Die-Versions "Lighthouse" Whispers DV-474, a fun sentiment from Lawn Fawn, and a fun sand stamp from Great Impressions.

I started with a large focal panel, stamped the sand, and colored with Copics.
The water was added with some distress ink and a sponge, as were the clouds.
The sentiment was stamped on the water line.
I cut the panel to desired size, adhered it to the card base, and set it aside.
The lighthouse was cut three times, once from white, red, and Kraft.
Using the white 'shell', I added some two sided tape to the back side of the lighthouse, and began adding pieces that had been die cut from the Kraft and red papers.
Once all the pieces were 'embedded', I took a grey marker, and did some shadowing on the lighthouse.
It was then added to the focal panel.
A few hand drawn birds finished this little scene perfectly!

Well, thanks for stopping by today!

Hope you will become a follower of the Die-Versions blog,
and do a bit of shopping at the Die-Versions store - they have some wonderful new releases!
