Pinspired - Scor-Pal

Good morning!

I'm here today with a Pinspired project for the Scor-Pal blog. The Scor-Pal Design Team each take a month, and we find a project on Pinterest that inspires us to create!

This month, I'm your hostess, and I have been 'Pinspired' by this project by Sandra Ronald.

Gift Box for Speciality Teabags | Arty Paper Crafters

I made a whole lot of these for some special ladies at church!

Here are my boxes:

And here is how these were made!
(Be sure to check out Sandra's video tutorial!)

Cut your card stock to 9" x 6 1/4"

Score on the short side at 1/2", 1 3/4", 5"
I used my Scor-Pal Eighths (which I dearly love) to score my boxes.
(The dotted lines were drawn on, so you could see the scored lines)

Score the long side at 3", 4 1/4", 7 1/4" and 8 1/2"

Burnish all score lines

Cut as shown below.  The boxes with X's will be cut out entirely.
Round the corners on what will be your 'top flap'.

When it's cut out, it will look like this. Add some adhesive to your skinny tab on the side.
Of course, I used Scor-Tape 1/4" for this!

Flip your card stock over, and apply adhesive as shown.

Fold and create your box as shown.

OOPS! You should do this step BEFORE adhering box together!

Using a small circle punch, create a little half circle, to allow you to open
the box with your thumb or finger.  Mine was a wee bit tricky to do, as
I did it after the box was assembled...

Finish your box, and decorate as desired!

Remember, your box won't have all of the creative pencil marks on it - I just used them so you could better see the scoring lines.

That's it!  I made all of these boxes in one evening, and you can too!
Thanks to Sandra for some great 'Pinspiration'!

I hope you'll give this box a try. Don't forget, you still have time to enter the October challenge at Scor-Pal - 'More than one fold, with a Fall/Halloween/Harvest Theme!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pretty in Pink...

Hi ya'll, and Happy Fall!

Brrr....a bit of chill to the air today, but I love it! Hope it's pretty where you are, too.
We're preparing for DH's 50th class reunion this weekend - fun, right?

My thoughts and prayers are with those dealing with the destruction with the hurricane.
I can't even imaging dealing with all of that mud, grime, etc.

Here's a card I made using some beautiful Stampin'Up! stamps.
Thanks, Sally for a fun morning of crafting in pink for Breast Cancer month!

This shows the pretty envelope we made to go with our cards.

Here's the card alone:

And here is what I used on the inside of the card.

I'm going to enter this in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
Here is their sketch:

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and smiles,

Background Check at Power Poppy Stamps

Hello!
Happy weekend, everyone!

I needed a 'just because' sort of card today, and decided to use this beautiful image 'Everything's Rosy' from Power Poppy, and play along with their 'Creative Confetti Background Check' challenge.

I don't have too much in the way of backgrounds, so I created my own, with Copic markers. I just used the colors in the card and lots of dots to make a fun background. Hope it works okay for the challenge!

Here's my card:

Have a wonderful weekend - the weather here is beautiful!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Fall/Harvest/Halloween at Scor-Pal!

Hi everyone!

I'm totally in shock.  It. Is. October. ???? How did that happen? It seems like I just drug my shorts out, and now I'm wondering where my boots might be packed! Lol...gotta love moving, right?

It's time for a new monthly challenge on the Scor-Pal blog - 'Fall/Harvest/Halloween'. Creations need to include more than one score line, and a 'Fall/Harvest/Halloween' theme.

Here is my project for this month. As usual, this one goes to the wonderful Sunday School class at church that I love spoiling! One of the ladies had her 86th birthday last week!  Each little box is filled with chocolates.

Thanks to all of you who have emailed, called, or sent cards while I've been under the weather. Each day brings improvement. Hopefully I'll be my old cantankerous self by the Christmas holidays!  I have follow-up appointment on October 15th. Curious to see what chest x-rays show.

For this project, I used my Scor-Pal Eighths, & 1/4" Scor-Tape.

Thanks for looking!

I hope to see your summer creations in our Fall/Harvest/Halloween Scor-Pal challenge!

We also have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!Challenge at Scor-Pal!

Happy September everyone!
