Secret Garden

 Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have two cards to share, featuring the 'S903 Secret Garden' background stamp. What a dream to color this background - just look at all of the beautiful details!

For this first card, the background was stamped onto white cardstock, and colored with Copic Markers. The focal panel was mounted onto a light green card base. The sentiment were three words from the #SD1084 Plant Smiles stamp. These were fussy cut, and popped up onto the card front.

And here is the second card:

It was colored with Copics, nearly the same as the above card. Using one of my favorite sentiment sets, #SS02b 'Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b', I stamped and matted a sentiment. It was adhered to the focal panel, and this panel was adhered to a green card base.

I'm going to use this May release a lot! Hope you will too!!!

So glad you stopped by today!

Wet or Dry (or wet AND dry) Embossing

Hi friends!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built. Today's challenge is to use Wet or Dry Embossing'.

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

This was embossed with Tim Holts Embossing Glaze in the Speckled Egg color. I was so surprised to see the outcome. In real life, it looks like it's just wet! Like a tone on tone. And the glaze is SO shiny!
This photo shows the shine a bit better. I held it this way and that under my ott lite until I got it just so....

So easy, and what fun to make!

This was a fun challenge, and I hope you'll all join in!

We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s theme, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
One lucky person this month will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Hanging Stars part 2

 Hello my creative friends!

I have two cards to share today, using the #SD1077 'Hanging Stars' stamp. This stamp is fun! Earlier this month, HERE, I used a simple heat embossing technique using these stamps. Today, I'm creating in Technicolor!

Here is my first card:

This card was created on watercolor paper. I used some water color markers, and colored both the stars, and the new release #SDX184 'Adulting is Overrated'.  These were then spritzed with water before stamping. Of course, I had to stamp the sentiment three times in three colors. Isn't this fun? Can't wait to send it to just the right someone!

And here's the second card:

Again, this was so easy. My white focal panel was cut, and place into my stamp positioner. The stars were inked up with a Kaleidacolor ink pad (yep, I still have lots of them!).  I lifted the lid, flipped the panel around, and inked/stamped again.  Then, I stamped a sentiment from one of my favorite sets #SS02b 'Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style B', stamping with the Kaleidacolor Ink, first in the center, then to the left and right of center sentiment. Ta-Da! Ta-Done!

Which one is YOUR favorite?  I'm partial to the 2nd one!

I have so enjoyed working with this May release!

So glad you stopped by today!

Plant Smiles

Hi there!

I have a pretty card to share today, using the #SD1084 'Plant Smiles' stamp. What a nice sentiment this is! We should all plant smiles, grow giggles, and harvest love!

Here's my card:

This was an easy card to create, and will go to someone special, who grows the best garden ever! The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with black ink, then outlined here and there with pink and green Copic markers. To finish the panel off, I chose to do some stenciling around the edges with A Colorful Life Designs 'Dancing Sprigs', using green inks.  It seemed almost impossible NOT to mat this with a pink card base!

I am having a lot of fun with this May release! Hope you see something you like!

So glad you stopped by today!

Math Equations

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have two fun cards to share, using the 'S891 Math Equations' background stamp. What fun to work with this background - just look at all of the details!

For this first card, the background was stamped with Versamark ink onto black cardstock, and heat embossed in white. I 'framed' the panel with woodgrain to look like a chalkboard. Then, I stamped and colored the pooch and sentiment, fussy cut them, and adhered them over the background. The dog and sentiment are from #SD764 'Can't Afford the Cat'. Thought it was a perfect pairing!

The second card was easy-peasy!  I used the #S891 Math Equations, and #SD924 'Internet Browser'. Both were simply stamped onto white cardstock, and matted with black.

I'm loving this May release! Hope you are too!!!

Hanging Stars

Hi there!

I have two cards to share today, using the #SD1077 'Hanging Stars' and #SD1075 'Stars Can't Shine' stamps. This stamp is fun! Later in the month, you'll see me work with it in different ways and different colors.

Each of these cards was stamped in Versamark onto patterned paper, and heat embossed. One was embossed with silver, and one with white. The silver is so pretty in real life, but doesn't show up well on camera. The white just pops beautifully!

Which do YOU like best?

I think you're going to love this May release!

 Hi there, crafty friends!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built. Today's clallenge is 'All About Moms'. We've been challenged to use a mom theme on our projects.
My mom is no longer with us, but I know lots of moms that could use a paper hug this year!
Here's what I made using this Repeat Impressions Stamp:

The front panel was dry embossed, and inks blended over top. The sentiment was stamped in green, then matted in pink and green, and adhered to focal panel. Very quick and beautiful card!

Hope you like it!
This was a fun challenge, and we hope you'll all join in!

Technique Junkies' May 2021 New Release Blog Hop

It's May 1st - Release day at Technique Junkies! We have some awesome new stamps for you! All of the April Stamps are 15% off through May 8th, too! No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout. Here is the Gotta Have it all Bundle, and a little preview of the new stamps:

This card features #SD1089 'Birthdays are Like Golf'.  I used a piece of patterned paper for half of the background, and the 'A Colorful Life Designs Falling Stars' stencil for the other half. The focal panel was stamped, colored with Copic Markers, paperpieced, and mounted onto the card base with foam dots.

The second card uses the #SD1090 Daily Dose of Iron' image, which was stamped and colored with Copic markers, before paper piecing her clothes, and using the 'A Colorful Life Designs Cloud Edger' stencil, to create a background. A couple of quick die cuts finished the focal panel which was matted in yellow, and adhered to the card base.

Last, but not least, I used the two images together to create a fun scene.  The two stencils from A Colorful Life Designs that I used for this card were the Cloud Edger Stencil, and the Messy Diamond Grid. Some patterned paper is placed behind them.

I hope you like these fun new releases, and can't wait for you to see the rest of this release!
