A Day Over Fabulous!

Hello out there!

Happy Fri-yay to you all!

I have a Technique Junkies card to share with you today...loving this fun stamp!

For this card, I used two awesome new February release stamps, 'Particle Flow', and 'Day Over Fabulous'. To begin, I sponged on some circles with distress ink for the background. Next, I stamped Particle Flow in Memento Black Ink, then moved the image up a bit and stamped again with Versamark. The sentiment, 'Day Over Fabulous' was stamped with Memento Black Ink as well. The final step was heat embossing with a pretty turquoise powder. Once the focal panel was finished, it was matted with turquoise and black scraps, and adhered it to a pale pink card base.

Hope you like these stamps as much as I do!

Be sure to check out the Technique Junkies store to see all of the latest releases, and if you shop, please use my discount code (TJ10Patti) to get 10% off of your purchase!

Getting ready for a workshop...

Hi all!

Just a quick note to say hello - and have a good week!

My bestie, Shirley and I are holding a workshop on Friday, and these are a couple of the table favors that I've been working on during evening TV hours!

The digi images are all from Jan Mahew, and the bunny box dies are from Taylored Expressions. I built the box itself, and used the TE dies to bring it to life!

Hope you enjoy them!

I'm going to enter these in Jan Mahew's 'Anything Goes' challenge.

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Dog Kiss

Hello!

I have a sweet card to share with you today. It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and wanted to feature a beautiful stamp, 'Dog Kiss' from the February new releases.

You can save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

Sometimes, we just want to send someone special a fun card. This stamp was perfect for a dog-loving friend in Hawaii!

This was so easy to create - The backround uses the Alcohol Ink technique on Yupo paper. I just kept adding ink until I liked it, then cut it to size. Three gold Washi Tape strips were added to the upper left corner, and die cut a border for the bottom of the card. (I die cut the border twice, once in purple and once in gold, so I could use the gold hearts inside the purple die cut. I'll reverse that on another card someday!)  The image was colored with Copic Markers, and a white gel pen. I used the Outside the Box technique and a rectangle die cut, adhered the image to the card, then the border - hope you like it!

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!

Inspiration Palette Challenge - The House that Stamps Built

Happy Wednesday!

It's that time again at Repeat Impressions Stamps!  It’s challenge day at the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Inspiration Palette Challenge for you. Here is the Inspiration Palette that Wendy gave us this week:

I was drawn in by these beautiful colors. It was hard for me to not look at this photo and try to reproduce exactly what I see (well, in my simple mind's way, anyway!).

I began by stamping the Large Pine Tree 3 times in gray and green. Then I made some 'hills' with a post it note, and stamped the Lg. Pine Forest a few times in gray and green. To finish, I made a few dots of glue and added irridescent glitter.

Hope you like it!

Now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s challenge, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

You've Got This!

Hello out there!

Hope you are all staying warm. We have nice weather one day, snow and ice the next.

I have a Technique Junkies card to share with you today...let's take a look!

For this card, I used a new February release stamp, 'You've Got This'. I used an Outside the Box technique, trimming away part of her hair, then inserting the image with that part above the die, before die cutting with a stitched rectangle die.

The image was colored with Copic Markers, and the doodling was done with a black Micron Pen.
I felt like she needed a bit of pizazz, so she's wearing a skirt made from a lace scrap. There are also a few white highliting lines and dots here and there from a white gel pen.

This view shows her cute skirt...

One more shot from a different angle...

Hope you like it!
She was so much fun to work with - can't wait to use this set of two again!

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at The House that Stamps Built

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

I chose to work with: Use Dimension, Shimmer, and Hearts. Since it's so close to Valentine's Day, I wanted to create something that could be sent as a general greeting.

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Here's my creation:

Good golly, it sure is hard to show shimmer and shine on a photo! Lol... I shared two pictures, hoping that one would show the shimmer a bit more. The topmost hot air balloon is adhered using dimensional foam for the dimension.

Now it’s your turn! Create something using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Now, it's time to see what my fellow Rock Stars have created!

The Best Things in Life...

Hello!

I have a super easy card to share with you today. It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and wanted to feature a beautiful stamp, Best Things in Life, from the February new releases. Through February 8th, you can receive 15% off the newly released stamps, so this might be a great time to get your order in! The 15% will be automatically applied. You can also save an extra 10% (on anything!) by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

Sometimes, we just need the right sentiment, and not a lot of distraction. This stamp gave me just what I needed to send to someone special!  This was so easy to create - I simply stamped on a scrap of patterned paper, die cut the whole thing, using an 'Outside the Box' technique on the greenery. After that, it was just a matter of some creative matting. Ta-da!

Hope you like it! Be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!

Designer's Choice Challenge - Donna chose Hearts!

Happy New Year, everyone!

February brings a new challenge at 'The House'!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Designer’s Choice Challenge for you. Donna is our hostess for the month, and has challenged us all to use HEARTS in our projects using our RI stamps. Please join us in our challenge, and create something using the theme: "Hearts".

There is a lady at church that has been battling Stage 3 breast cancer. She's been fighting this for months and months, and I have yet to hear one tiny complaint come from her. So, this card is for her! She is a daily inspiration for all of us.

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

I did a bit of coloring with Spectrum Noir markers, did a little heat embossing and sponging with Distress Oxide Ink, added some ribbon and a sentiment. Voila!

 And now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s DCC theme, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
One lucky person this month will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Technique Junkies Blog Hop...A Lot More Fabulous

Hello everyone!
I'm sharing 3 posts today, so if you are looking for the Turner Syndrome Post, or the 2 Crafty Creitter Crazies post, do some scrolling until you find them!!!

Today, Technique Junkies is showcasing their February new release with a blog hop, and I'm excited to share that I'm a new member of their Design Team!

There are new stamps in the Technique Junkies line!
Be sure to check out the list below to find some sweet inspiration from our Design Team!!!

All of the February 2020 New Release stamps are 15% off through February 8th! We can all use a little bargain, right? No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

You can also use the code on the badge below to save 10% on your orders with Technique Junkies, including the new release items!  So....you get 15% off, and then another 10% if you enter my code!

I was quite smitten with two of the new release items, Particle Flow, and More Fabulous. I decided to combine them on one card. More Fabulous is such a classy image, that I had to use some soft, girly colors, and heat emboss for some shimmer and shine!

Here's my card:

Don't you just love the Particle Flow stamp in the background? I stamped it repeatedly, and used a 2 color heat embossing technique, embossing half of the image in blue, and half in pink, alternating on each image. You will be seeing a lot of Particle Flow

The white was just too stark on the focal panel, so I used an older, retired Technique Junkies stencil, (Diamond Fade by A Colorful Life Designs) and some Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.

The entire card was inked using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I wiped off the excess off of the embossed images, and spritzed some water on, giving some great little splotches.

I hadn't intended to add the heat embossed strip down the left side, but needed to cover up a huge OOPS, where I smeared some RED ink! Lol....how in the world did that happen?

Anyway, hope you liked the card!

Hop on, my friends to see what this talented Technique Junkies Design Team has to share with you!

It's A Girl Thing!

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!
Prize Winners will be announced on February 15, 2020.

Thirty-six caring Sponsors and eight DT Members have partnered with us to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

Eight talented and caring designers (including me!) are offering prizes on their personal blogs as well:

My prize will be a $20 gift card! I'll announce my winner on February 15th - good luck!  To be eligible, just leave a comment below, telling me something you've learned about TSA during this hop!

My TS related project is inspired by the TSA official color board:

Jan Mahew from Jan's Digi's has made a beautiful stamp set for the Turner Syndrome Foundation and for the Blog Hop. You can purchase it HERE in her store for only $2 and all the money from the sales of this stamp set is going to be donated to the Turner Syndrome Foundation!! Isn't that AWESOME!!! Thank you so much Jan Mahew!!

Here is my card:

I wish that you could see the pretty shiny dimension! Each of the butterflies, and the flowers/ribbon, were fussy cut, and popped up with dimensional foam. Each was then highlighted with Glossy Accents. I love the feminine softness of these images, AND they were pre-colored!!! Bonus!!!

I have learned a lot about a syndrome I wasn't aware of until Lori's hop last year. I feel blessed to be a part of this awareness blog hop!

Be sure to visit the "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop 2020  page to become eligible for prizes.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.
