More Creative Visions Projects...

Hello!

I have a couple more cards to share with you,
from my August DT assignments for Creative Vision Stamps.

Here's what I made:

I must have really loved this rose stamp, as I bought it this summer at the Collinsville show,
and then ordered it for my August DT cards!  Lol...my friend Shirley got a nice
red rubber gift package!  This is called 'Rose' and comes with FOUR different sized
images!!!

Here's another Sassy girl!  This set is called 'Wrinkled'.
Isn't she a hoot?  I stand at the mirror and do that very thing sometimes.
Bet some of you do, too!!!

I'll be back to share a couple more soon!

Thanks for dropping by - hope you will pop over to the
Creative Visions Stamps website and look around!

Repeat Impressions Project of the Week - Dry Embossing with a Twist...

It's Monday, and you know what that means at the Repeat Impressions blog,
The House that Stamps Built - it's time for a Project of the Week.
Each week, one of our designers brings you a fun project, and today
it's my turn!  We are going to do some Dry Embossing 'with a twist'!

For this project, I have used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Let's get started...

Once you choose an image, stamp it, color it, and fussy cut.
I stamped the two dragonflies repeatedly, not knowing how many
I might use.

Next, gather your layers.  You will need a card base, a white panel, and a colored mat.

Now, take you white panel and lay your images on the panel, where you
think you're going to want them. Once you have them in place,
adhere them to your white panel using a few drops of glue on each image.

Once your glue is dry, place your white panel into an embossing folder, and run
it through your embossing machine.

When you take your panel out, here is what it looks like. Sort of resembles
a piece of fine, printed linen, right?

Now all you have to do is assemble your layers, and voila! A beautiful card!

So....what else can you emboss?

I've embossed a ribbon....

a paper napkin...

a piece of transparency (had to lay the marker on it to get it to lay flat!)

and, a piece of vellum (you can see my removable tape underneath :)

I've also been told you can emboss other things, like fabric (spritz with water first),
fun foam, etc....

Give it a try! You will soon be embossing whatever isn't glued down!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be sure to check out the challenges that are up and running at

We'd love to see your creations, and you could win some Repeat Impressions Stamps!

Have a good day,

Creative Vision Stamps Projects

Hey there!
I've got some news to share with you!

Between dear hubby's surgery in July, and my surgery in August, I totally forgot
to share that I am on the Summer 2015 Design Team for Creative Vision Stamps!
This is taking some getting used to, as we simply make cards to mail to the owner,
who then uses them on her convention/stamp show display boards.

I've always enjoyed working with the Creative Vision Stamps. Laura Bastian,
the owner, has some pretty unique designs, and some pretty funny sentiment
stamps (some are for adults only).  Her animal, flower, and scene stamps are just
beautiful, and many come two to a package, each one being the same stamp
in two sizes.

Anyway....my cards for August were mailed last month, and I'll be sharing them
with you in the next few weeks.  I'm mailing my September cards soon, and
will share them when I get some free time to do so.

Here are a couple of my August designs:

I simply could NOT get this to photograph well!  I used Congratulations in
the center of the framing.  This is from the set 'Simply Said'. It contains
Congratulations, Happy Birthday, and Get Well Soon.

This sassy, sunburned girl is from the 'Summer Lovin' set. I had fun giving her
a bit of sun, and some shiny glasses. The clouds are felt.

I'll be back with a couple more soon!

Thanks for dropping by - hope you will pop over to the
Creative Visions Stamps website and look around!

Hugs,
Patti J.

You've Been Booed!!!

Happy Saturday!

It's my day to share some Great Impressions fun with you!
I decided to use a cute little ghost today, and I hope
you like him (her?) as much as I do!

For this card, I used:

There are little ghosties everywhere!!!

I sure miss having kids at home during the holidays!

OOPS! I just realized I have a cute teensy orange bow that was to go
in the blank space above the sentiment.  Tee hee... guess
you'll need to use your imagination!

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Great Impressions sponsors Aud Sentiments...

Good Morning!

I'm popping in today to share a bright and happy card with you.

and I've made this 'happy' card for their challenge.

For this project, I've used these Great Impressions Stamps:

I just love the way this turned out. I was a bit leery of the color combination, but once it was finished, I was pleased!  Sometimes it's hard to think outside our box, and use non-traditional
colors, but what fun the results are!!!

Here's my card:

Hope you will pop over to the Aud Sentiments Blog, and take part in their challenge!

While you're out and about, be sure to take part in the monthly challenge at
the Great Impressions Blog!!!  I can't wait to see your fun
