Seasons Giving Blog Hop

Happy New Year, dear friends!
Can you believe another year has flown by?

Squeal!
I'm excited to again be part of the Seasons Giving Blog Hop, hosted by Latisha Yost. The hop started when Latisha was talking with a friend about all of the product that we have that goes unused....doubles or triples of something, ribbon you don't like, a kit you received that's not your style, etc. As designers, we all have something that is just sitting here unused, or maybe we just love our blog readers, and want to go out and buy something new to give away!

This hop is my opportunity to thank you so much for your support, especially this year. It's been a bit of a tough year, and I appreciate those of you who are still dropping by. If you are a new subscriber, welcome! I love making new online friends, and will follow your blog as well!!!

PRIZES!!!!!
Every single one of us on the hop will have some type of giveaway on our blogs. Be sure to hop, and enter to be eligible to win. There are lots of free crafty goodies to help start this year out right!

I will be giving two prizes today - these stamps and dies will be divided into two packages:

To enter, just leave a comment on this post. PLEASE include an email address, so I can contact you. I will announce my winner on Saturday, January 5th.

This quick card to wish you all well, features some Repeat Impressions stamps - I hope that 2019 is very good to you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cuteness....

Hello!

I'm so excited that I was able to sit down today and create a card with this sweet digi image that I snagged from 7 Kids College Fund earlier in December. You all know that I cannot resist a cute image!

This was colored with Copic markers, fussy cut, and added to a background of snow, snowflakes, and a bit of a sponged night sky.

Here it is:

How cute is this?

If you don't follow them already, be sure to do so! It's a fun group!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Patti J.

Anything Goes Christmas Challenge at Scor-Pal

Hi everyone!

Brrr....Welcome to December!  It's my turn to be challenge hostess on the Scor-Pal blog, so I'm here today to share my project. The new challenge for December is 'Anything Goes Christmas', and must include more than one fold.

I was shopping last week and found these Lindt candies for $1 each.
I decided our senior group at church 'needed' one, so today's project was to create a box to hold them. These candies measure about 7" x 3/4", so it took a bit of measuring, and the box and lid are pretty snug!

Here's what I made:

Here's how I did it...

Gather your supplies. You'll need your Scor-Pal Eighths1/4" Scor-Tape, and 1/2" Scor-Tape.
You will also need need cardstock for your box, scissors, a circle or half circle punch, and a centering ruler is optional.

Cut your base 9" x 2.5"
Score all four sides at 3/4"

Cut your lid 8.5" x 2"
Score all four sides at 1/2"

Burnish all of your score lines. I find the key to a good box is nicely burnished fold lines!

Using your scissors, snip in to the fold line on all four tabs.
Do this step for both box base, and lid
Angle cut your tabs just a wee bit for a nice, neat fit.
Using your punch, find your lid center, and punch a 'finger' opening.

Flip your pieces over and apply your tape.
I used 1/4" on the lid, and 1/2" on the box.

Assemble box and lid.

Insert candy in box and add lid.

Decorate as desired - you're done!
On my little tab, the coloring is done with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens - did you know that you can find these beautiful glittery pens at Scor-Pal? And for a while, if you buy 2 or more packs of Spectrum Noir items, you'll get a free package of cardstock!!!  Check out the Accessory tab and see what's available - you will be so happy you did!

If you'll check my blog on Dec. 15th, you will get to see all 12 boxes finished!

Thanks for looking!

We hope to see your Christmas creations in our More Than One Fold, 'Anything Goes ChristmasScor-Pal challenge!

We also have a ton of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

Happy December everyone!
