Anything Goes at The House that Stamps Built!

Happy Wednesday!
It's Wednesday again! Today is a new challenge for Repeat Impressions Stamps.
It’s and 'Anything Goes' challenge at the Repeat Impressions blog, The House that Stamps Built, we hope you will join us!

Well, I know I've been gone a long time, but one thing hasn't changed....I still get terrified when I see an inspiration challenge!!!  I had NO idea what to do with this photo, so I thought I'd go with all of it: the colors, the wacky shapes, and the little sprig of flowers at the top of the photo.

Here's what I made using this Repeat Impressions Stamp:

8611 E Thinking

I first sponged my 'scene', then stamped the Mountain Vista twice, being sure not to get the little sunshine in the photo twice! Added the birds and sentiment, and Voila! Easy, peasy, quick card!

Now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s challenge, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
One lucky person this month will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday!

Good golly, we are nearly needing to go to town in a boat around here...it has rained and rained, and rained some more!

I made a card over the weekend to enter into a sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I'm sliding it in just in the nick of time, as the challenge ends tomorrow afternoon!

Here is their sketch:

If ya'll have followed me for more than a day or so, you know that I'm a rebel - I simply 'need' to flip sketches! Lol... Anyway, here is what I made - hope you like it!

I used Penny Black's Melody Makers and Gina K. Designs Scripty Sayings 2 for this card. All the coloring is with Copic Markers.

Have a great week, everyone!  See you Wednesday morning with a new challenge from The House that Stamps Built!

Hugs and grins,
Patti J.

You were always meant to FLY...!

Hello everyone,

If you are looking for my Repeat Impressions post, please scroll down!

Are you ready for some more fun from the Inky Stamper Arts & Crafts Store?

Chelsea sent me the cutest dies, asked me to design a sample for her, using the Small Fry Box. Well, how could I stop there? I simply had to play with the Dragonfly and Mini Double Bow Die as well!  The Small Fry Box  has 5 dies, and is SO easy to assemble! The Mini Double Bow Die makes the cutest bow, and it's a ONE PIECE die!

Here's what I created:

This first photo is shown using the Dragonfly Stamp Set, the Small Fry Box, AND the Mini Double Bow Die!

Here is just the Small Fry Box with the Mini Double Bow Die

A better look at just the Small Fry Box

And one more...

Here is the card using Images and Sentiments from the Dragonfly Stamp Set.
All coloring is done with Copic Markers. If you enlarge the photo, hopefully you can see the detail work with a white gel pen, and some Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens.

For this one, I decided to use a stamp from the Dragonfly set, along with the flower, tag, and banner dies from the Small Fry Box Die set. I thought it would be fun to double the box, using the tag in the middle as sort of a handle.

A better view of putting two boxes back to back. I realized as I was finishing up this blog post, that I didn't put any ribbon in the hole of the tag!  Oh well, next time, right?

Stop by at see Chelsea at the Inky Stamper Arts & Crafts Store!
Please bear with me if you find any link errors here today, or horrific typo's - I'm having a vision problem this week, and can't be trusted at the keyboard!

Thanks for dropping by today - hugs and smiles to all, and remember -
You were always meant to FLY...!

Exciting News!

Hello everyone,

If you are looking for my Repeat Impressions post, please scroll down!

Are you ready for some very exciting news? It's been hard to keep this secret!
There's a new stamp store making its' debut today!

A long time creative friend, Chelsea Comer, (some of you know her as Inky Stamper) has begun designing her own line of stamps and dies. At 8:00 a.m. today, Chelsea's new stamp store, the Inky Stamper Arts & Crafts Store opened for business!

Chelsea asked me to design a sample for her store opening today. Of course I said yes, and it's a good thing ya'll couldn't see this old woman happy dancin' and squealing, here in my girl cave!

When my Inky Stamper package arrived, the first thing that I noticed was the unique packaging. These stamps are packaged in resealable high quality bags!!! Look at this package - pretty impressive, right?  It's sad to pay a lot of money for a set of stamps, and the first time you use it, the package has to be taped together. This package is going to last a long, long time!

The next thing that impressed me, was that every single set will have sentiment(s) included. Yep...Every. Single. Set!

So, do you want to see my sample? Lol...I couldn't stop with one, so without further ado (as Chelsea would say), here is what I created using using one of her new sets, 'Sandbox'.

For this card, I stamped and colored the image, matted and mounted it onto some cute designer paper. The sentiment was stamped on black with Versamark, and heat embossed. Sentiment was popped up with some tiny dimensional dots.

I was hoping this paper would look a bit like sand, but I think it was a fail.... This image was very quickly stamped, colored, matted, and added to a treat box filled with candies.

Again, this was just some creative card folding, and a bit of coloring, matting, and assembilng.

For the last card, I stamped the image on white cardstock. I then created a 'mask', by stamping the image again on some masking paper.

I placed the mask over the stamped image, and began to draw some clouds, water, sun, etc.

The mask was removed, and I colored the card with Copic markers, and used a fine liner to outline. The final touch was a white gel pen to add a few fun accents. I was trying to make the sun shining off of the body of water, but not sure it works!!! What do you think?

Hope you will check back here next Wednesday - I will have another fun item(s) to debut for the Inky Stamper Arts & Crafts Store!

Thanks for stopping by today - hugs and smiles to all, and remember - a little sand between your toes...always takes away your woes!

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at The House that Stamps Built!

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

I'm back with a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

I used the middle row: Blue and Green, Frame, and Embossing.

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Here's what I made:

This view shows the embossing a bit better.

Now it’s your turn! Create a card using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Things with Wings!

Hello, and happy Wednesday!

In January, 2018, I stepped down from all but one design team, thinking that I'd be out a few months, and jump right back in. Well, here we are a year and a half later, and after a lengthy illness, I'm ready to design again!  I'm proud to be back with Wendy and her talented design team at Repeat Impressions Stamps!

It’s challenge day at the Repeat Impressions blog,  The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Designer’s Choice Challenge for you. I'm the hostess today, and I'm challenging you to create 'Things with Wings'.  Planes, Angels, Birds, use your winged things!  Please join us in our challenge, and create something using the theme: "Things with Wings".

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

716 G - Moon Angel
1105 E - Thinking of You

Here is a side view, showing the dimension of the vellum clouds, image, and sentiment.

 And now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s DCC theme, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Warmer Days and More than one fold with Scor-Pal

Happy June, everyone!

I've just returned from a cruise to Alaska and Canada. If this post doesn't make sense, it's because my brain is tired!  This is my second post today. If you are looking for my 2 Crafty Critter Crazies post, just scroll up!

The monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, is Warmer Days (think summer, warm colors, etc), and of course, more than one fold.

I'm getting quite a collection of 6 x 6 papers, and thought I'd experiment on trying to organize them a bit. I found several instructions on Pinterest, and sort of combined them to come up with one that I liked.

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here is the box...

We hope to see your creations with texture in our 'More Than One Fold', Scor-Pal challenge!

We also have a ton of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

Happy Scoring!

Exciting 'Crazie' News!

Good morning everyone!
I'm super excited today to be sharing my first creation as a Design Team Member with the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!  This sounded like a fun group - each creation must include a critter, and you all know how much I love critters!

Since it's the first of June, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!

The sponsor for June is Rick St. DennisRick St. Dennis, MFA has been an artist, designer, stage designer, and instructor for over 45 years.  His digital stamp images can be found on Zibbet or Etsy.   On Facebook, there is the Rick St.Dennis Digi fans and friends group, where you can showcase your cards and other projects using RSD images.Rick is a very talented artist, and it was a real treat to use his fun digital image called 'Singin' in the Rain'. Here are my cards:

I printed the image twice on white cardstock, then used Copic markers and a paper towel to color the bear. I printed the image twice more on both the blue and yellow printed paper, which was paper pieced and adhered over top of the image. Fun and colorful, right? I decided to make one umbrella look more shadowed on the bottom side, and leave one all gingham. Which do you like the best? To finish things off, I sponged and splattered a background, die cut frames and sentiments, used Glossy Accents to shiny the rain gear, and assembled the cards.

Please check out the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies blog to see some fun and fabulous inspiration that the design team is sharing with you. We hope that you will all play along this month - can't wait to see your critter creations!

One additional thing, we are partnering with the Double Trouble Challenge between June 3 and June 16.  If you've done a project with a "Critter" for our challenge, and your project includes a stencil or embossing folder you can enter it over in their challenge also!  They have a couple of additional options you'll want to check out so be sure to visit them between the 3rd and the 16th.

Thanks for dropping in today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.
