More of this and that...

Well, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go!
Can't wait to see the 'grands', but will miss home and my handsome man while away.
I'm going to try my best to keep up with my commenting at night after everyone goes to sleep - we shall see how that goes! I fly out next Weds., so send some happy thoughts up my way!

Anyway...here are a few more never posted items - hope they make you smile!

These little candy totes were made for the special ladies at church.

While I had this gorgeous Rubbernecker stamp out, I made Easter cards for both of our kids.

Here are some cute Easter candy boxes for the ladies at church. These were made Easter 2018!
I used an old Amuse die set that was borrowed from my bestie, Shirley!

This view shows the back of the box. After die cutting the bunny from the front, the die cut was adhered to the back!

Okay, that's all for today! Don't want to overstay my welcome!
I'll be back next Saturday with some more forgotten creations!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Inspiration Palette Challenge

Happy Wednesday!
You know what Wednesday means at Repeat Impressions Stamps!
It’s challenge day at the Repeat Impressions blog, The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Inspiration Palette Challenge for you. Here is the Inspiration Palette that Wendy gave us this week:

Yummy, right??? Who among you doesn't like a good cold ice cream in the summer? I have a confession to make! After losing 120 pounds, an ice cream is still my one single evening indulgence! I love the Magnum Mini Double Caramel bars - Oh my....is it snack time yet?

Ugh...had to just go with the whole ice cream theme here! The photo inspiration challenges simply fry my poor, old, tired brain, so I go with the easiest solution!

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

9008 N Cool Treats

Whatever did we do before glossy accents???

 And now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s challenge, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Pick of the Week - W Card

Hello there!

It's my day to share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps Built. The Repeat Impressions Stamps that I picked to showcase are:

Here is my card...but it's not a regular card...

...it's a fun fold! It's called a W fold card, and I'm going to show you how to make one - it's SO easy!

Here is the inside of the card:

This card opens with the W mechanism in portrait mode.

Here's a card that I made a while back that shows the W mechanism opening in landscape mode.
I will include measurements for both folds.

This card uses Repeat Impressions' Stamp 10307 H Patti's Flower Outline
As you can see, I stamped on patterned paper, and fussy cut the flowers.

Okay, here we go!

Card #1:

Start with a card base that is cut to 5.5" x 8.5" and score at 4.25".
Design card front as desired.
Open card to inside. You can leave your card base as is, or add some patterned paper, colored cardstock panel, etc.
Cut one strip of cardstock to 8.5" x 1". This will be your W mechanism.
Score this strip at 2 1/8", 4 1/4", and 6 3/8".

Fold into W shape like this:

Apply adhesive to the two outside flaps, and glue to your card base like this:

(you can see that the left fold is valley, the center is mountain, and the right is valley)

Now it's time to decorate the inside squares!

Here's what it looks like as it begins to fold flat. This fits nicely into a regulary A2 envelope!

To create the landscape mechanism, simply cut your card base to 4.25" x 11".
Cut one W mechanism to 1" x 11".

Hope you will give this a try - it really is easy, and makes such a fun card!

Christmas in July!

Hello again!

So....I saw a fun challenge, 'Christmas in July' on the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP group page on Facebook.  I have had this fun image forEVER, and can only remember using it twice, so it seemed meant to be that I should use it, and enter this fun challenge.

The digi image that I used is Self Conscious Paulie. Isn't it just the cutest?

Here is my card:

A while back, when Stampin' Up had their retirement sale, I picked up a package of their 6 x 6 vellum sheets. The background is one of them - I just highlighted the lines with Copic markers, added a sheet of glitter film (that I found at the stamp show last month) on the back, and voila - instant snowbanks!

I love this little face - hope it brought you a smile!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Happy Satur-yay!

Today is a pretty good day so far - hope it's going well for you!

A few weeks ago, I was excited to win some blog candy! The  stamp set that I won, Chocolate Candies, is waiting to be inked, and I'm hoping to get to it soon. But, how exciting it was to open the prize package, and find a few extra coloring images included! I've colored one, and decided today would be a good day to share it with you!

Here is the image created by Catherine Scanlon, and colored by little old me :)

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by,

Hugs,
Patti J.

Tic-Tac-Toe for July

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

I'm back with a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

I used the diagonal row: Insects, Fun Fold, and Paper Piecing
(My bug jar was paper pieced!)

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Here's what I made:

Isn't it fun how this folds flat and fits in a standard A-2 envelope?

Now it’s your turn! Create a card using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
