Happy Holly Days

Hi there!

The House That Stamps Built is taking a break from the usual projects and challenges this month to bring back their Rock Star Spotlight series. This is a fun way to get to know all the Design Team members a little better. So each Monday and Wednesday throughout December they will be featuring a different Rock Star and showing off some of their latest creations too.
Please be sure to visit The House That Stamps Built often and leave a little love in the comments of each Rock Star Spotlight. Wendy will be awarding a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate to one random commenter. Every comment earns you another chance to win. So visit and comment often. The winner will be announced on The House That Stamps Built blog the first Monday of next month.

Today is my day and the spotlight is shining on me!
Here is what I created to celebrate my featured post:

I used these stamps to create my card:

Now please hop on over to The House That Stamps Built to read my responses to the fun questionnaire Wendy had me fill out. Then be sure to leave a comment there for your chance to win the gift certificate!

Thanks for visiting...

Hello out there!

Hi to you all!

I'm going to share a few cards that haven't been posted to my blog yet.
These aren't DT cards, they are 'just because' cards, or special
order cards.

Hope you like them!  If you have questions, please ask!

Thanks for dropping by,
Patti J.

This was for a friend's 66th birthday (he is a racer!)

These cute little favors were for Quinton's baby shower last month - I made 30 of each color.

And here is the baby card that was made for the shower.

This was a special order card.

This was a special order card.

This little Unity feller just makes me smile. This card went to someone in need of a smile!

All in the Presentation...

Hello friends!

I have a fun little creation to share today, that I made, using these awesome
Crafter's Companion products:

Signature Collection by Sara Davies 'Together Forever' A4 Luxury Foiled Card Pad
Ultimate Tool

I cannot get enough of this fabulous card stock. Oh my goodness! It is
just regal.  My photos do not do it justice. I just can't figure out how to photograph
such a beautiful, metallic product!  If you have any suggestions, I'd love
to hear them!

I needed a last minute gift for someone at church, so here's what I made:

I wanted to create a box just for these candies, so first, I measured to see what size box bottom would be needed.

The candies measured 5" x 5", so I added an inch to each side, and created the
box bottom.

See?  Perfect fit!

With the Ultimate Tool, there is a box, and a box lid template. Both pieces
of card stock are cut to the same size, and each are scored on the corresponding template,
resulting in a perfect fit every single time!

The Ultimate Tool also has some fun templates for scallops, waves, swirls, hearts, etc.
I used the scallops, and trimmed just under the scored lines, resulting in a very pretty edge on my
box lid.

Add some adhesive to your box 'flaps' or 'tabs', and voila!  The perfect box!

I had a slight mis-score (you can see in the above photo), so I cut a small strip of the stripes,
and glued it over my mis-score. Then, I fussy cut one of the silver roses, and popped it up
with some dimensional foam on top of the strip.  Looks SO pretty in real life!

Here is a photo of the box all closed up and ready for delivery to church today!

Yummy....right?

You should SO check it out!  Each day of the month features a
special 'something'....maybe a sale item, a give-a-way contest to enter, or possibly a great
tutorial - be sure to 'open the door' each day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Take care, and keep smiling!

These Three Gifts...

Hello!
So glad you stopped by today!

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built! Since it's a 'fifth week', the challenge is 'Anything Goes'.

The holidays are coming on so quickly, that I'm trying to get a start on my Christmas cards.
I really love it when a beautiful card can be created using some pretty paper and an elegant sentiment. That's what I did today for our challenge.  Here is what I made today, using this Repeat Impressions Stamp:
2103-M These Three Gifts

The sentiment was embossed in gold, matted with gold, and adhered to a piece of pretty paper.
That panel was matted with gold, a gold ribbon was added, and the panel was adhered to the card front.  Does not get any easier than that!  Thank you Wendy, for such a gorgeous,
meaningful sentiment.

Now, it's your turn!
Come on over and join us in our Anything Goes Challenge!

You don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stampsbut if you do, you have double the chance of winning!  I can't wait to see your beautiful cards this week, for our Anything Goes challenge!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

The First Noel

Happy Friday!
Hope that you all had a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!

Here is a pretty card that I made using products from Crafter's Companion.
I like the nice, clean lines on this one.

The image was colored and the sky was sponged with distress inks, and water dropped and smeared.  Hope you like it!

I didn't flip this one, but only because I didn't leave myself room enough for the vertical sentiment I had all picked out!  Sigh....best laid plans!

Anyhow....
Here's what I created, using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Festive Wonder...Merry Christmas!

Happy Friday!

I'm back with another beautiful card that uses products from Crafter's Companion.

Isn't it nice to find that perfect patterned paper and die?  An elegant card in record time, right?

Look how pretty this is.... I used gold cardstock for the base and sentiment, added a ribbon around the patterned paper, and adhered that panel to the card base.  Voila! Easy Peasy, and so pretty!

Hope you like it!
