Statue of Liberty

Hello there!

Today, I'm sharing a pretty card that I made with a new TJ stamp, Statue of Liberty, from the June release at Technique Junkies. This is a fabulous image, perfect for an Independence Day Card. Hard to believe July 4th is just around the corner!

Here's what I made:

The image was stamped onto a piece of patterned paper with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The focal panel was adhered to a white card base. Next the America Beats True sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock, cut out, and adhered to the focal panel. The upper part of the sentiment was adhered directly to the card, the lower part of the sentiment was popped up with foam dots.

Don't forget!!! You can save 10% (on any order that isn't already discounted), by entering TJ10Patti at checkout!

Be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and do a little crafty shopping!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Happy Birthday America!

Hi there!

I feel like I've been away forEVER!  My last 15 blog posts were pre-scheduled,
as I went to Germany for several weeks to help our daughter and her family. They
have a new baby (hooray for new 'grands'!), a toddler (hooray for toddlers!),
and are in the process of doing a military move from Germany back to the US.
Needless to say, it was great to see everyone, and we did get a lot accomplished.

Thanks for your patience while I was gone...

I'm here today to share a Crafter's Companion card that I think turned out so nicely!

Fun card, right?  Had to smile while I was putting this one together :)

Here are the Crafter's Companion products that I used:

Hope you are all doing well - hope to get by your blogs this weekend and say hello!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

It's Photo Inspiration Challenge time at 'The House'

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built!
Today's challenge is an inspirational photo. This month, we got to choose from 2 inspiration photos.  I love the colors and the shine on both of these pics,
don't you???

Here are the inspiration photos:

Photo inspirations areSTILL the toughest challenges for me.
But...I'm learning to step outside my comfort zone!

The fireworks and flag were both inked up by daubing ink directly to the stamp, using a small finger dauber.
The fireworks were then stamped again with Versamark ink, and embossed with a fine silver embossing powder.
The image was shadow inked, by inking first with red, and then moving the stamp a bit, and stamping again in blue.
The 'flag' is popped up with foam dots.

Ta da!

It's been a busy month for us, so this is a pretty clean and simple card.
Hope you like it!

Now, come on over and join us in our Photo Inspiration Challenge!
Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

Hello!

Hello!

Today is my day to post for ScrapTownLady's blog, and I have a couple of cards to share.  As today is Independence Day in the U.S.A., it felt right to use more of the beautiful red, white, and blue papers found in the ScrapTownLady Store.  This card is sort of a 'half' easel card.

To make this card, simply create your card - this is an A2 card, but any size works.  Score your card front at the halfway point, and fold downwards.  Ta Da!

This photo is looking down on the card, so that you can see the "Pride" sticker that holds the easel in place.
It was fun to use the I-O grass die for the appearance of 'fireworks' in the background!
Here you can see that the entire top half is blank for your own personal message.

The next card was fun.  I've so badly wanted to create with some of the Graphic 45 papers that Cheryl sent me, but couldn't choose which piece to use....so I used nearly all of them!

Hexagon dies are not something I own, so I dug around, and found this old plastic template.  As it has M's on it, it probably belonged to our daughter, when she was in grade school!  Guess it pays to be a hoarder (grin).

The next step was to cut the hexagons out, distress with some Pine Needles Ink on a sponge dauber, and make a fun layout with them.  Last, a scrap of ribbon for each fussy cut lady, a few pearls, and a stamped sentiment completed this quick and easy creation!

Hope that you've all had a great week, and have a wonderful, safe day today!

Let Freedom Ring...

Recently, a box arrived from ScrapTownLady.  With the 4th of July right around the corner, Cheryl included red, white, and blue yumminess!  I realized, as I looked through my own papers, that I had absolutely NO patriotic colored papers.  That being said, you can imagine the fun I've been having!  Here is what I created Tuesday afternoon...

A card was needed for a young lady with cancer.  I thought it would be fun to use a Pearl image, along with popped up trellis, grass, and clouds!  Supply list below.

This flag stamp is the prettiest I've seen.  Loved popping it up off the page!  Supply list below.

This card let the papers and stickers speak for themselves!  Yumminess, right?

Totally clean and simple!  One card base, two panels, one ribbon, one sticker.  Voila! FIVE minute card!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to head over to the ScrapTownLady store, to look at all of the wonderful things!  While you are out and about, we'd love for you to become a follower of the blog, as well!

I'm entering my Pearl card in the Color Throwdown Challenge!  It's my first time to enter a Color Throwdown Challenge :)   Here are their colors for this challenge:
