Space Force

Hi everyone!

I'm sharing a card today that I made for our son-in-law in the Army. He was appointed to the new Space Force, and we needed to give him a shout out!

It's a fun fold that I found on Pinterest 'someplace'.

I'm entering this in the May challenge at Scor-Pal. I used 1/4" and 1/2" Scor-Tape, and of course my Scor-Pal!!!

Whew....getting in JUST in time!

Have a great Sunday night, and a wonderful new week!!!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Black Cat and Tulips

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share a few cards using stamps from the May 2020 Technique Junkies release. Today, I'm stamping with 'Tulip with Text', Inside Out Old Fart, Five Fab Phrases, and 'A Little Black Cat' from the May 2020 release. I've also used 'Forget Me Nots'.

Here are my cards:

The sentiment (from the Five Fab Phrases set), was stamped on patterned paper with Versafine black ink, and that panel was adhered to a pink card base.  The black cat was stamped on white cardstock, fussy cut, and adhered with dimensional foam. That's it!

For this card, I chose a blue card base, and a black mat.  I then stamped the background (Forget me Nots) with a pale gray ink, and colored with Copic markers.  I added a strip of black trim and blue glitter to give the cat a place to sit. Then the cat was stamped, fussy cut, and adhered to the card with dimensional foam.

For this card, the Tulip with Text was stamped on Kraft Cardstock, and adhered to a pink base.
I used some pink scrap, and a scrap of polka dot for the sentiment (from the Inside Out Old Fart Set). The sentiment panel was attached with dimensional foam.

This time, I stamped on a blue patterned paper, and the sentiment was created the same way as the above card.

These were easy to create - I hope you'll try them yourself!

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!

Thanks for stopping by,

Sympathy Cards

Hi friends,

Thought I'd share what I worked on the last couple of days. I had a request to make 6 sympathy cards with limited layering or embellishments.  So, I drug out some old stamps and a die, and got busy!  Here's what I created (photos are not the best today - you may need to click and enlarge):

This first card uses one of may forever favorite stamps from Penny Black. It's called 'At Grace'.  The sentiment on both the inside and outside were from the Stampin' Up set 'Woven Heirlooms'.
I'm going to enter this card in the Saturday Challenge at Penny Black. The challenge is 'Inspired by a Song', and these flowers make me think of 'Blue Velvet'!!!

 Here's what was put inside.

This set was stamped with Stampin' Up's 'Soft Spring'.
And here is the inside. The sentiment is created by Julee Tillman, and you can find it at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

This is an old wooden stamp that I use a lot for masculine cards. 'Rowboat by Impression Obsession'.
The inside sentiment is from a set that I found on the sale rack at Hobby Lobby several years ago.

Another fun stamp set by Stampin' Up, 'Tranquil Tulips'. The sentiments on the card front and inside are both from the Hobby Lobby set.

This card uses a die from Taylored Expressions, 'Shade Tree', and a sentiment from the 'Wishing You Well' set from Stampin' Up. The envelope is stamped with Woven Heirlooms (Stampin' Up).

Inside sentiment is 'May the Peace' by Rubbernecker.

Last, but not least, is a beautiful digital image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I computer generated sentiment and frame while I was working on sizing image.

Inside sentiment is from the MSE set from Hobby Lobby. I'm entering this card in the monthly challenge at the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP group on Facebook.

Well, that's it!!!  Now I have an order for ten of the toilet paper cards that I shared a week or two ago, so I'm off to draw patterns on cardstock!

Hope you like at least one or two of these, and hope the lady I made them for likes them!

Thanks for stopping by, hope your weekend was great.

Hugs,
Patti J.

Ice Cream Parlor

Hello!

I thought it would be fun to throw a challenge card together this week for the Impression Obsession challenge 'Play With Your Food'.

I didn't have too many IO stamps that met this theme, so I dashed, yes dashed...over to the IO store and found this uber-cute digi image by Gary Robertson, 'Ice Cream Parlor'. I knew that I wanted to color this 'sweet' image! Ice cream is my all time favorite treat, and this image made me think of having ice cream with the grandkids in CA or Germany.

Missing those days!

Since the image itself had so much going on, I kept this simple, and just matted the panel onto a card base. All coloring was done with Copic Markers. You may want to click on the photo to make it larger and look at all of the fun detail in this image - Gary is SO talented!

Have a great Satur-yay, ya'll - stay safe!

Hugs and grins,
Patti J.

Shoot for the Moon

Hello out there!

Happy Fri-yay to each of you.

I have a couple of Technique Junkies cards to share with you today...loving this fun new-release stamp, 'Shoot for the Moon'. I also used 'Op Art' and 'Floral Dot' on the backgrounds.

I started by coloring each image with Copic Markers, and matting each to coordinate with card base. You can't see it in the photos, but I used a glitter pen to make the image sparkle. I stamped the background on each one with coordinating inks, and adhered the background to the card base. Then, I just adhered the focal panels!

Here are my cards:

Winds of Change

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share some cards using two of the May new release stamps, 'Winds of Change', and 'Pool Rules'. I also used an April release stamp 'Particle Flow'.

For this first card, I stamped Particle Flow in versamark ink on Kraft cardstock. I used my MISTI, and re-inked a few times, to get a good image. The image was stamped on Kraft, colored with Copic Markers, and matted with a dark coral mat. I used a scrap of patterned paper to break up the card base, and adhered the focal panel over the patterned paper strip with dimensional foam.

For this card, Particle Flow was stamped with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with pink powder. I cut a piece out of the center of the card base front, for a fun way to mount the Winds of Change panel. The image was stamped on white cardstock with Memento Ink, and colored with Copic markers, then matted with green cardstock scrap.  While the scraps were out, I cut a couple of strips to add to the card base. The focal panel was adhered to top and bottom panel, leaving the center open. The inside of the card has a green mat and white panel for writing message.

I wasn't sure what to do with this darling Pool Rules stamp, so I stamped with a Kaleidacolor Ink Pad.  I drew a wading pool on white cardstock, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. After edging the Pool Rules with pink marker, I cut a slit in the pool waster, and slid my panel into the slit. I had two small scraps of alcohol ink pieces, and tucked them in behind the panel, and mounted everything onto a blue card base.

Are you smitten with the May release? I know I am!!! These are all stamps I will use often!

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

This was so easy to create! Hope you will give it a try!

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!

Patti J.

Mom

Hi everyone!

Today I have a card to share that I made for the Impression Obsession challenge 'Mom's Rule'.  Mother's Day is always a bit difficult for me, as I lost my mom to cancer in 1999. However, I have a daughter, and daughter-in-law that are both moms, so I usually create for them!

Here's a quick card that I made using the Impression Obsession Die 'Sunflower Background'.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week!

Being a Family

Hello out there!

It's Fri-yay!

I have two Technique Junkies cards to share with you today using one of the beautiful May release stamps, 'Being a Family'.

I started by stamping on a piece of patterned paper. I love papers that coordinate on the back - makes trimming out a card so simple! I just cut two strips of the peach paper, flipped it over, and used the printed side for the card edges. I put the card together, and used some glossy accents on the leaves. Done!
.

For this card, I stamped on Kraft, drew a 'border' with a Sharpie marker, matted on black, and mounted on Kraft. No glossy on this one, but I did add a bow!

I'd also like to share a card I made with the 'Five Fab Phrases' set:

This is another CAS card!  Sponged a background on white cardstock, stenciled using A Colorful Life 'Heart Fade' stencil, added a die cut, and stamped the sentiment (Five Fab Phrases set).

Hope you like these stamps as much as I do!  If you need a quick card, this is it!
Don't forget - today can still take advantage of the 15% off sale!

Be sure to check out the Technique Junkies store to see all of the latest releases, and if you shop, please use my discount code to get 10% off of any purchase any time! And this is in addition to the 15% off!

Thanks for stopping by today!
