One week later...

Well, here I am again!

I have a few more 'blasts from the past' to share with you. I probably have enough of these to keep me posting all winter long!!!

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs,
Patti J.

These were all created in a card class that one of my very favorite people, Ruth Petsel, taught.

Isn't she talented??? We have a great time gathering together as lovers of all things paper!

Enjoy your weekend - I'll be back next week!

Crazy Days here!

Hello everyone!

I'm going to attempt to post a few blogs here and there, but won't have time to link products or explain techniques. Our winter is going to be full of scans, tests, Dr. appointments, radiation appointments for hubby, and lots of grandkid hugs for us both!

Thanks for your patience the last few months - I've gotten into my craft room very little. Hoping that improves toward the end of January, but until then, it's a wild ride for us!!!

Here are a few cards that will hopefully bring a smile or two!

Made this one for some friends that we know, who moved into a new home last Christmas...

Next up, is one that I created when our dear grand-dog Rosie crossed the Rainbow Bridge...

The next three are made with Stampin' Up! supplies.

Hope you're getting inky!!!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Beautiful Trees

Hello out there!

Hope you are all enjoying the slightly cooler days! Personally, I like the heat, but I
know I'm definitely in the minority!

I thought I'd share several cards made from stamps in the September release

First up, is a card made with Bare Branches as the background, and a sentiment
from Beautiful Trees popped up on the focal panel. I love the simplicity of
this card!

The next card uses the same two stamp sets.

This card was created with Hillside Pines (an older stamp), and a sentiment from
Beautiful Trees. I inked the tree stamp, then spritzed it with water, so that the
trees faded out a bit.

Next up, the Bare Branches was stamped onto a sheet of designer paper with an ombre
pattern, using Versamark Ink, so that the branches look like a shadow.
I like the looks of the almost translucent branches! The sentiment

Last up is a super easy card.
I simply found a piece of pretty designer paper, and adhered it to a card base.
The sentiment, from Beautiful Trees, was stamped onto the designer paper in a coordinating
ink color, and a bow was added to the panel.

Hope you saw something that triggered you to stamp today!

I'm happy you stopped by, hope to see you soon!

Whoop!

Whoop! Here I am with another fun card from the Technique Junkies September release!

I have a super-fun card to share today!

I used the new release stamp, Whoop, for this creation. I chose a fun die to
compliment the sentiment, then stamped the sentiment in a fun green ink.
The circle was adhered to a card base on top of a panel of colorful
designer paper.

Doesn't this one truly make you happy?

Small Creatures

Today, I'm here to share a couple of fun cards made with some new Technique Junkies stamps.
 I think you'll enjoy them!

This first card uses the Squirrel on Branch image, and the Small Creature sentiment stamps.
The image was stamped onto white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and fussy
cut. I did a bit of color blocking in monotone fashion for this one, and popped the image
up with foam dots for some dimension. I take lots of joy in feeding the squirrels here
in Missouri, so this one was special to me!

Next up is one of God's little critters that I personally think is 'so ugly he's cute'...lol!
Look at this little face, and those wee short legs! How cute ??? is that?
To create this card, the Hedgehog stamp was used for the card front. Inside,
I used a sentiment from the Beautiful Trees set.

Hope that these cards gave you a bit of happy today!

I'll be back in a couple of days with a few more shares from the Sept. release!

This card uses the Halloween Doodles background stamp. The images were colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is Wicked Halloween. It was stamped onto vellum, and stapled to the focal panel.

Halloween Doodles was used on this card, as well, but was stamped in black ink onto Kraft Cardstock.

This card was made using Ghosties Night background stamp. Easy Peasy! Stamped with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Ta-da, Ta-done!

I used Ghosties Night for this fun card. I stamped the images onto white cardstock, then fussy cut them, and hid them behind the 'die windows'. Another super easy card! The sentiment was die cut letters.

For this card, I stamped Burst in black ink, then ink blended some color on the focal panel. Wicked Halloween was then stamped onto white cardstock, and I did some stenciled dots over top of the sentiment, using A Colorful Life Designs stencil.

Leaves and Dragonflies Background stamp was used for this card. I stamped it with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed it with white powder. I grabbed my Medeival Medals embossing powder, stamped & heat embossed Mile on My Broom onto a gray circle. Lots of ink blending was done on this card.

Last, but not lease was this cute card! First, I used gray ink, and stamped Brickwork for my focal panel. Witch Switch was then stamped toward the bottom of the panel (the two bats are on the stamp). I cut out a few bats from glitter paper, and glued them toward the top. Then I grabbed a scrap of cheesecloth, and distressed it with some dark ink, and stuck it behind the focal panel. For the card base, I began with white cardstock, and used a stencil (A Colorful Life Designs) and some witchy green ink.

Check out the other members of the TJ Design team to see what spooky treats they have to share!!!

Next up is a nice card, made with two new stamps from Technique Junkies' September release, Halloween Paintstroke, and Bare Branches. The Bare Branches was stamped with black ink onto an old book page that I first distressed. The sentiment was also stamped onto an old book page, then fussy cut and popped up onto the focal panel.

Bold Birthday Wishes

Happy September Release Day!!!

Today, I am sharing some brand new stamps from Technique Junkies

I can't wait for you to see all the new stamps!
Hooray! - 15% off of all new release items until September 8th - no code needed
items will be discounted at checkout!

Here is the Gotta Have It All Bundle - you can get ALL the stamps, and save over $31!

Today's cards were all created with one new sentiment set, Bold Birthday Wishes. This is a great birthday set of 8 bold, fun greetings. Hope that you enjoy them!

For this card, Happy Birthday, from Bold Birthday Wishes was stamped in black ink onto a turquoise card base. Next, I masked off the center, then stenciled with ink the same color as the card base, using the Faded Petals stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I finished this one off with some 1/8" Washi Tape, and an additional sentiment from the Bold Birthday Wishes set under the Happy Birthday.

The sentiment, from the Bold Birthday Wishes stamp set was stamped repeatedly in rainbow colors down the left side of the panel. The Burst stamp was colored with watercolor markers, spritzed with water, and stamped onto the right side. A strip of Washi Tape finished this card off with a happy burst of color!

I had a piece of bubble wrap laying on my work space from something I ordered. I grabbed it up, opened some fun ink colors, and pounced my background, prior to adding panel to my card base. The sentiment from the Bold Birthday Wishes set was stamped, matted and adhered to the card base.

To create this easy card, I did a shaving cream background on the focal panel, stamped Slimline Candles, then stamped a sentiment from the Bold Birthday Wishes set.

So, here, I sort of just went with things! The Slimline Candles was stamped on top and bottom at opposite angles, colored with markers, and the sentiment from the Bold Birthday Wishes was stamped in black ink. To finish this one, I made dots (lots of dots!) with fine point markers.

I stamped a red background panel, using Gingham. A border was punched and added to the bottom (hoping this looks a bit like a summer tablecloth). I stamped Sundae, colored & fussy cut the image, and added glossy accents to the ice cream bowl. Last, the sentiment, from the Bold Birthday Wishes set was stamped and matted, then added to the card front.

This is a close up of the yummy ice cream bowl!

Last, but not least, for this card, I grabbed another stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, 6 Square Shadow, and stenciled some soft colors onto the blocks. The focal panel was ink blended with the same ink used on 2 of the squares, using blending brushes. I die cut a frame, punched some greenery, and added them, along with some bling, to the focal panel. Last, the sentiment, from Bold Birthday Wishes, was stamped, and punched before adhering to card base.

I sure hope you've enjoyed my little show and tell of easily created cards!
Now, hop along with the incredible Technique Junkies team,
for tons of wonderful inspiration! Here's the hop list:

Adventure

It's adventure day here today! Let's take a look...

I used a piece of designer paper, a strip of Washi Tape, and one simple sentiment, Adventure, from
the new release at Technique Junkies.

I stamped Adventure onto the designer paper panel, adhered the Washi Tape to the panel, and
mounted it onto a piece of yellow cardstock. I also stamped the sentiment onto the envelope.

You do You

Hi ya!

I was feeling a bit 'crabby' today, and thought I'd share a fun little crabby card.

The new backround stamp, Crazy Crabs, from Technique Junkies, was stamped in blue ink onto a white card base. It was stamped a second time, so that I could fussy cut one of the crabs.
Once fussy cut, I colored him (her?) in red, and added a fun set of sunglasses.

I used one of the sentiments from Good Vibes, to create a fun sign for this fun crab to be holding. I popped him up with some foam dots, and adhered him to the card panel.

Wishing you a 'crabby' day with lots of smiles!

Swirly Snails

It's Swirly Snails day here on my blog today!

This is a fun background stamp in the new release at Technique Junkies this month.

I created two cards to show how versatile a background stamp can be!

For the first card, I used the stamp as intended - a background. The Swirly Snails, were stamped onto red cardstock with Versamark, and heat embossed with black powder. The sentiment is from the last release, Good Vibes - this is a great set, with 8 fun sentiments. The sentiment was stamped, heat embossed, and matted with black. It was adhered over the 2 bottom left snails on the background stamp.

The next card was a bit outside the box!  I die cut this fun frame in a pretty, happy pink cardstock.
I stamped just one line of snails for the top row, then using the Four Little Sentiments set, I stamped four 'Hello's, and cut them to line up and fit in the bottom three squares. I loved this fun designer paper, and felt it made a great background panel for the card. Hope you like it!!!

Have a great weekend! I'll see you again on Sunday, with a bit of a 'crabby' card!!!
