More of this and that...

Well, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go!
Can't wait to see the 'grands', but will miss home and my handsome man while away.
I'm going to try my best to keep up with my commenting at night after everyone goes to sleep - we shall see how that goes! I fly out next Weds., so send some happy thoughts up my way!

Anyway...here are a few more never posted items - hope they make you smile!

These little candy totes were made for the special ladies at church.

While I had this gorgeous Rubbernecker stamp out, I made Easter cards for both of our kids.

Here are some cute Easter candy boxes for the ladies at church. These were made Easter 2018!
I used an old Amuse die set that was borrowed from my bestie, Shirley!

This view shows the back of the box. After die cutting the bunny from the front, the die cut was adhered to the back!

Okay, that's all for today! Don't want to overstay my welcome!
I'll be back next Saturday with some more forgotten creations!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

A Boy and His Frog...

Happy Saturday!

I have a Saturday smile to share with you!

I had a few minutes this morning, so I printed out this adorable image from The Digi Garden.  This image is in the "Boy" section, and it's called, "A Boy and His Frog".  Of course, the frog is Ribbit!

Image: The Digi Garden    Sentiment: SRM Stickers     Twine: a muse studio     Grass Border & Leave Dies: C.C. Cutters,      DP: Scraps from my stash ???     Cording: A gift from my friend Shirley     Butterflies: Martha Stewart Butterfly Trio Punch     Cardstock: Bazzill

The sentiment is an SRM Sticker, and it says "Heartfelt Thanks".
Seems we are always in need of a thank you card.

My Perfect Layers Tools were used to create beautiful, uniform layers!

Have entered this in the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge :)

Hope your weeking is going well.  So far, so good, here on the hilltop!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Treat Box

Yesterday, I spent most of the day pinching myself.  I was lucky enough to have a box that I created, featured on Splitcoast Stampers!  You can find the tutorial, and even a video, HERE.  I thought I would share the box, as it's a fun way to give a sweet little gift, and display your artwork, as well!

This first box features Impression Obsession Stamps: Spa Day G2346, and Witching You B5523.  All Coloring is done with Copic Markers, Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, and the cardstock is from a muse studio.  The teensy spiders are from a punch I found in the $1 bin at Michael's - no names on it.

This little sweetie is a Little Darlings stamp.  She just melts my heart with those big blue eyes! The sentiment stamp is from Stampendous, and the cardstock is Kraft.  Button is from my stash, and I used my black Zig Pen for doodling around the edges.  All coloring is done with Copic Markers.

Last, is the easiest of all!  Using some Graphic 45 DP, I simply cut and pasted on the box.

Hope you will give it a try!  Looking forward to seeing YOUR treat boxes!
There is an album in the gallery at SCS for them, so after you create,
post your finished project HERE!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!
There are lots of fun hops coming up in the next couple of weeks - check out my sidebar for more info!

Have a great day,
Patti J.

Happy Halloween...

Welcome to a new 'What If Wednesday' sketch challenge for Repeat Impressions Stamps!  We have another great sketch by Wendy to share with you today.

Here is Wendy's Sketch:

And here is my card:
Repeat Impressions Stamps (2323W Halloween Cobweb) (2322W Black Cat), Reminisce "You Don't Scare Me" DP, Authentique "Glowing" DP, Fiskar's Deckle Scissors, Zig Pen, CS from stash, Stickles, Bat Dies from Amuse, Spider Punch is Studio G. from Michael's.

I had all sorts of ideas about flipping this sketch so that the rounded panel would be 'grass' at the bottom, but 'someone' must have snuck in when I wasn't looking and glued the bats at the bottom of the panel.  Hmmm....Funny how a card evolves from a mistake!

Let's see what YOU can do with this fun sketch!  All of the challenge details can be found at the Repeat Impressions Blog, The House That Stamps Built.  You could be a lucky winner!

Clean and Simple Fun

Mornin' peeps!

Today's share consists of two very easy cards.  One is for my Chemo Card Angel lady, and one is for a very sick little girl that has recently been diagnosed with leukemia.

This first card was one that my friend Shirley had picked out for us to try at one of our 'play' days!  We take turns with ideas, and it's always a lot of fun to see what the other finds to CASE!

Amuse CS, Ink, Washi Tape, and flower die.

This card uses all Amuse products (Shirley is a demo if you need any product...).  We die cut the shape, put patterned paper behind it, a wee strip of Washi tape (also Amuse), and a button finished it off. Can you say easy-peasy?  Woweee!!!

This next card was fun, too.  The last issue of CardMaker, had a card by Michelle Woerner on the front cover.  She used all sorts of Washi tape on her card.  I didn't have any, so I used some randomly cut strips from a pad of patterned papers that I got free in a copy of an Australian magazine, Cardmaking and Papercraft.  Added a quick sentiment and a bit of bling!  As I didn't want to have to take a chance on a crooked sentiment, I stamped first, and adhered paper strips second.

Cardstock, Kate Knight "Totally Tropical" Summer Papers, Want2Scrap, Repeat Impressions "Thinking of You"

Ta da!  Two very quick cards!  I doubt that either card took more than 15 minutes to create. I've always been a bit afraid of CAS cards, but it's a style that is SO growing on me!

Hope your week is going well, and that your weekend holds some fun!  DH has three days off, and we are so excited!  That doesn't happen too often, and we are looking forward to some time together.

Thanks for stopping by - I'm off to see what you've been up to!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Score It!

Hello!
It's time for a new Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built
Karen is the challenge hostess this week, and she has challenged us to use our score boards on our cards.
Repeat Impressions Dragonfly Deco (4405-W), Special  (8608-W), Amuse CS, and Amuse Pigment Inks (Blackberry, Cherry, French Roast, Navy, & Buttercup)

The ink was sponged directly onto the images with small finger daubers (a technique that my best stampin' bud, Shirley taught me!).
The lower purple panel was scored at 1/8" increments.
Ribbon from my stash.

Hope you have some time this week to do some scoring of your own!
I look forward to seeing your amazing creations linked up!
You could even be the lucky winner!

Let Your Dreams Take Flight...

Good morning!

Welcome to the Repeat Impressions What If Wednesday Sketch Challenge #A812!   Wendy has once again provided us with a fun sketch to work with.  I couldn't resist using the hot air balloons with this one!

Here is Wendy's sketch:

And here is my card!
Repeat Impressions #9116-N Air Balloon Cluster,  #9117-F Dreams Take Flight, Amuse Cardstock, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White Cardstock, pearls, green satin ribbon, and white trim from my stash, Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink, Perfect Layers Tools, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

I chose to use one of the sentiments and images from the 9100 series that was released recently. The balloons were paperpieced with the cute dotty cardstock from Amuse. Perfect Layers Tools were used for my nice straight mats.

We would love to see your take on this sketch!  Link up your card at The House that Stamps Built - you could be the next lucky winner!  Repeat Impressions stamps don't have to be used, but if you have them, we'd love to see them!

Check out my fellow Rockstars!  I'm sure they have some fabulous creations to share!

Loved an animal...

Hi folks!

Welcome!
It's time once again at Repeat Impressions to showcase another Stamp of the Week.
Today, our RI stamp of the week is Loved an Animal (6303-W).

Here is my card:
Repeat Impressions Loved an Animal (6303-W), Bazzill CS, Amuse CS, Button from stash, Amuse Baker's Twine, Dimensional Squares, *Perfect Layers Tools.

This is such a pretty sentiment. I don't own a lot of RI animal stamps, so I decided to let this darling designer paper showcase the sentiment!  My friend, Shirley, gifted me with a few sheets of DP a while back, and this was in the mix. Sorry, don't know who makes it.  The little scallop edge you see behind the sentiment is not punched, but is actually just a part of the DP.  Cuteness, right?

Be sure to stop by and see what my fellow Rockstars, Cheri, Karen, and Makiko, have created!
This stamp can be yours, for 50% off this week, if you are a RI reader - check out all the details on the blog, The House that Stamps Built!

Don't forget that you can also, still get in on some challenge action
at the RI blog, The House That Stamps Built!

Head over and check it out - would love to see YOUR card linked up!

Have a great week,
Patti J.

Someone to Annoy...

Hi there, and Happy Monday!

Here's a cute 'just because' card.  I saw this at Bugaboo, and it made me giggle.  What a cute sentiment for just that right friend or family member :)

This fun image comes all in one piece - frame and all.
It's colored with Copic Markers, and mounted on Amuse cardstock.
Added a few 'nailheads' from my stash.
A bit of Jillibean Soup twine is the perfect
finishing touch for a very quick and easy CAS card.

Hope it gave you a giggle or two, as well.

Thanks for stopping by,

Patti J.

What If Wednesday...Sketch J112

Wow - I've posted three days in a row!  Don't be expecting this on a regular basis...lol!!!
Goodness, this week is already half over, come on weekend...

It's time for another What If Wednesday Sketch Challenge at the Repeat Impressions Blog, The House That Stamps Built!
Repeat Impressions 9010-W 'Watermelon', Flourishes CS, Amuse CS, Ribbon from Hobby Lobby, Glossy Accents, Spellbinder's Oval and Oval Scallop Dies, Stampin' Up corner punch, Dimensional Squares

This month is truly kicking my behind, so I decided to do another CAS card.  The image was stamped, colored with Copic Markers, cut with an oval Spellbinder die, and matted on a scalloped red oval, also cut with a Spellbinder die. The card is white CS, folded in half with a black and white dotted (yep, those dots again) piece of Amuse CS as the background.  The dotted piece was punched with a Stampin' Up! ticket punch.  The red gingham ribbon from my stash, was tied around the background panel and the panel was adhered to the card.  The Watermelon was then added with dimensional foam, and some Glossy Accents were applied for that juicy watermelon look.

I didn't flip the sketch, but I stretched it...I'm such a rebel :)

Hope your week is going well, and I'd love to see YOUR card in our sketch challenge at The House That Stamps Built this week!  The challenge details can be found there, as well.

I know that you are eager for me to stop jabbering so that you can go check out what beauties my fellow Rockstars have created for you, so without further ado...

Have a great day!

The Little Black Dress...

Hi there!

Gosh, it's Wednesday already.  How did that happen?  Speaking of happenings, isn't it funny sometimes, how things seem to happen for a reason?  Last week on a shopping outing, I saw the most darling little black party dress.  Black and white polka dots (tiny ones), with lots of pearly trimwork, and this fabulous tulle trimmed waistline.  This week, when CardMaker's Card Challenge Corner posted their challenge, it was "The Little Black Dress".  Coincidence?  Perhaps...perhaps not!

Supplies: Dress Template: Creations by AR, Liquid Pearls, Cardstock: a muse, Pearls: Kaiser Crafts,                          Tulle: from my ribbon stash...

Card inside...
Those of you that know me well, know that my 'little black dress' days are over!  So, this was the perfect opportunity for me to design my own, and not worry about the fit :)  The template is from Creations by AR, and the adorable CS that I bought from my friend, Shirley, is a muse.  Just what the doc ordered!  The pearls were some leftovers from a Kaiser Crafts package, and the tulle was a scrap in my ribbon drawer.  Voila!  Used some liquid pearls to outline the areas where the pearls were going.

Hope this little fashion statement gives you a smile this morning. Thanks so much for stopping by, and for your patience while family took priority!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Easter Emma

Good morning!  I'm locking myself in my girl cave for the day, and working on getting out some cards to some special people.  This card is for a sweet couple from church.  She had knee replacement surgery this week, and he has trouble getting around at all anymore.  They are on my mind, so Emma is going to pay them a visit, and hopefully let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers.  This needed to be very CAS, so I decided to follow the sketch at All That Scraps. As always, I had to turn the sketch!

The card base is another of the packaged set that I got free last month with my a*muse order. How cool is that? The other dotted piece is also from a*muse - the color is Bermuda.  So pretty!  The stamp is C.C. Designs Sugarplums Easter Emma.  The sentiment is an Amy R. sentiment, also from C.C. Designs. All coloring is done with copics. The striped piece, and solid mat around the image are from Echo Park's 'Summer Days' collection.

I will be entering this card in the Wednesday Challenge at All That Scraps.

I'm also entering this in the new challenge at Oozak - Anything Goes.  If you haven't ever been to Oozak, it's well worth your time to visit. And how much fun that they have their own challenge now!

HELP!  If any of you have experience in face painting, I'd love for you to drop me an email and give me some tips and pointers!  For example... how many choices should I allow, etc.  DH has graciously volunteered me to work for two days at the elementary schools in the nearby city he works in.  This will be toward the end of the month, so I have some time before I need to hyperventilate!  lol...

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend in store.  Church service on Sunday will be a 6:00 a.m. sunrise service on a lake - it's always a blessing!  We have a shopping trip planned tomorrow - DH needs some new work duds.  Don't know if we'll stay in town and do everything at JCP, or if we will move on... anyway, if I don't get back, have a wonderful Good Friday - hope you are blessed beyond measure!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Just Saying Hello...

Happy Wednesday!

I've had a bit of fun today with my newest a*muse studio stamp set, "Friend to Friend".
Again, I was looking for a card to send a special friend.
Thought I'd pull out this set and see what happened...needed a 5 x 7 card,
as I'm sending a small gift in the envelope too.

Supplies: a*muse Friend to Friend stamps, Marvy Matchables Jungle Green Dye Ink, Copic Marker YR16, Apricot, Ribbon from stash, a*muse Grass Gingham, a*muse Grass CS, a*muse bellini Venetian Patterned CS, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White CS, Layering Weight.
Oh.   My.   Gosh.   These stamps make up into the cutest cards SO fast!  I didn't time this, but my guess is 15-20 minutes, tops.  Gotta love that!

Next...
Some of the Creations by AR ladies will "Get Hoppy" at 5 a.m. CST tomorrow.
As always, there will be winners...each blog will be giving away one of the darling Bunny Box templates. Hope to see you tomorrow!

CAS Glam...

Happy Saturday!

It's a good day here today. Weather is beautiful, and DH will be on his way home soon.  He flew out 9 days ago and met DS in Orlando. They've been zipping around Florida, following the St. Louis Cardinal's for Spring Training games.  It's going to be good to have him home again.

I'm sharing a CAS card that I made for a special lady.  I'm enclosing a great little gift pkg. of tissues, and the sentiment on the tissues says "If the shoe fits, buy one in every color".  I love how well my hand tied bow (Really Reasonable Ribbon) turned out!

Supplies: Cardstock: a muse (dots), DCWV (red), Xpress It Blending (white), Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Tombow Marker, Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy your weekend, and I'll be back on Monday with some Itty Bitty Blog Candy.

Hugs and blessings, my friends...

Joyful Spring

Hello friends!

Woohoo....spring has made it to Missouri!  Looking a bit like a storm outside now, but I had the top down on the little car today, and OMG it felt so nice!

Well, I needed a card for someone special.  I'm a card angel for a lady with cancer, and I wanted to make something bright and perky that looked like spring.  The challenge at the Impression Obsession Blog this week is "Spring is in the Air", so I got out some I-O stamps, and here's what happened...

Supplies: Cardstock, a muse, DP Echo Park Victoria Gardens, Colorbok Black CS, Coloring with Copics, Flower Soft, Stamps: Impression Obsession "Decorate the Season Fence" (G8614) and "Joyful Spring" (B5428), misc. flowers from my stash.

This is the inside of the card. You can barely see a flower peeking at you on the left. There are three flowers on that panel, actually, covering three very nice ink smdges.  Bwahahaha....happens to the best of us!

Don't you just LOVE that dotted background?  I ordered a couple of items from my friend, Shirley, who is an a muse demonstrator.  And free with my order was an adorable set of note cards!  Yup, a rainbow of dots! So you will be seeing spots for a long while...just sayin'.

Hope that you have all had a nice day!  Some of you had contacted me that you'd like to do an RAK for our DD, whose DH was deployed three weeks after their wedding.  I'm sorry, but there were several of you, and  except for a couple of you, I don't recall who wanted some 'ideas'.  If any of you still do want ideas, or addresses, I have some now, so feel free to email me.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those who have sent cards, emails, or commented on her blog posts.  (If you want to read a heart wrenching entry, go to Melissa's blog, Marrying the Army, and read the post about the USPS losing her mail from Afghanistan.)  She is so touched that my friends think enough of me and of her to send a handmade card.  We both thank you so much!

Have a wonderful evening!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Basket of wishes to cheer you...

Hello there my friends!

Wow, it's Wednesday.  How in the world did that happen, and who stole Monday and Tuesday?  My mom always said that the older I got, the faster time would fly by.  I'm thinking she was right!

I have a 'shaped' card to share with you today.  This was made for the Stampendous March Challenge, which is, shaped cards.  I only have a couple of Stampendous stamps, so you will just have to bear with me as I use them over and over!

Supplies: A Muse CS, Kraft CS, Copic Sketch &21 & Y28, Stampendous "Narcissus" Stamps, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Recollections Dimensional Squares

Last year, when I went to the stamp show at Collinsville, Ill., I bought the template for this sweet basket from Rubber Cottage.  I altered their pattern a bit, by putting two drop down basket handles on it, where the template called for just one single handle in the middle.  Some teensy brads (from my stash), were added, and the image was stamped twice on the yellow A Muse ginham, so flower in the center could be fussy cut and popped up for dimension.

Hope you like it!  Thanks in measures of OODLES for stopping by today!

Smiles,
Patti J.
