For the Beauty...

Good morning!
Welcome to Monday's Stamp of the Week at Repeat Impressions!
Today, we are featuring a lovely sentiment, 'For the Beauty', that could be used for any season.
The sentiment needed to be the focal point of this card, so a CAS creation seemed to be calling...

Repeat Impressions #3213, 'For the Beauty', Simple Stories Sticker Sheet 'Harvest Lane', and Bazzill CS. Sentiment stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa Dye Ink, Perfect Layers Rulers

This card was so easy to create.  The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of Bazzill CS, mounted on a dark brown mat, and adhered to the card front.  Using a sheet of Simple Stories 'Harvest Lane' stickers, the rest of the card came together in about one minute!  Of course, I used my Perfect Layers Tools for my nice even mat!  Be sure to use the code on my sidebar for 5% off if you decide to order a set for yourself!

All righty, time to hop over and see what my fellow Rockstars have created!
I have to admit that I peeked at these projects in the gallery, and WOW!  What beauties!

Happy Birthday, Allen!

Happy weekend!

And Happy Birthday Allen!

All paper is from a Simple Stories 6 x 6 pack, called Happy Day, which was a gift from a friend!

Allen, is my friend Shirley's son, and is a wonderful young man.  Hope he enjoys getting this in his mailbox!

I'm entering this in the Crafty Friend's Challenges (slipping it in with just a few hours to go), which is a sketch challenge.  I'm counting the little crooked dividing line between the dots and the words as my 'string'.  Hope it will count at the challenge!

Here is the sketch:

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to do the Halloween Hop!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Emily's Harvest

Happy Friday!

I found a new digi site yesterday, The Digi Garden.  Oh my goodness - they have such cute images! If you like to color, you'll have to give them a try!  I nabbed their freebie off of Facebook, Emily's Harvest. Here is what I created with her...
The Digi Garden (Emily's Harvest), Simple Stories (Generations & Harvest Lane), Spellbinders, Dimensional Squares, Bazzill Basics Cardstock for base, Copic Markers, Tim Holtz White Distress pen

All of the background papers, and little embellies are from Simple Stories.  They are becoming one of my favorite paper lines.  My perfect lines are made using my Perfect Layers Tools.

I'm entering this in the customer challenge at The Digi Garden.

Hope you have a nice weekend planned!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Patti J.

Hello

Well, hello there!

Short post today, as I am packing a box for Afghanistan for dear SIL and his troops.
Wanted to include a bit of fun today, so I decorated some Tic Tac boxes.
Hero Arts "Hello", Copic Markers, Jillibean Soup Twine, Tic Tacs, Bless You stamp from Great Impressions, DP strip from Simple Stories.

These were so easy - just used a Hero Arts stamp and some Copic colors on Kraft CS on the outside, stamped a heartfelt sentiment for the inside, and ta-da!  Not my idea - found where I'd sketched this out on a piece of scratch paper eons ago, and don't have any source for the original idea.

I am going to enter this in the challenge at A Blog Names Hero.  The challenge is "The Krafty Crafter" (use Kraft CS or colors), and I did!  Ironically, I've also used a Hero Arts stamp!  Don't you love it when that happens?

Off to tape up a box...

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Happy Birthday Raccoon

Good morning!
Hope this finds you all well!
It's a new Designer's Choice Challenge today, at Repeat Impressions!
Today's challenge, from Makiko, is to use an outdoor/wildlife theme.
I chose to use the Racoon and some wild violets.
Repeat Impressions 4219-W Racoon,  1706-W Wild Violets, Marianne Tree Dies, Perfect Layers Tools, Simple Stories DP, Bazzill CS, White CS, Dimensional Squares, Copic Markers, Post it Note, Button from stash, Baker's Twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon
The main image, Racoon (#4219-J), was stamped in the middle of the panel, and stamped again on a post-it note, which I cut out, creating a mask.  I applied the masked racoon directly over the stamped image, and stamped Wild Violets (#1706-I) on the left and right of the racoon.  I removed the mask and colored the scene with Copic Markers.  The sky and grass were created by stippling on blue and green distress inks.

The card base is 6 x 6 Bazzill Basics, topped with a 5.75 x 5.75 piece of Simple Stories DP.
Two trees were cut from green scraps using my Marianne Tree Die, and adhered to the DP.
The main focal image was matted in green, then a scrap of brown Amuse CS,
and adhered with dimensional foam.
The sentiment is from the Simple Stories DP pad, the button is from my stash, and the Baker's
Twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
All of my wonderfully straight borders were cut using a craft knife and my Perfect Layers Tools.  You can use any rotary cutter or craft knife with Perfect Layers Tools, and you can watch a video tutorial on their website!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you'll stop by my fellow Rockstar's blogs to see what they have created using Makiko's challenge!

Chicks Stick Together

Mornin' peeps!

Short post today - DH and I are having a DATE!!!  Woot woot!

Today's card features a stamp set "Signs of Spring" from Flourishes.  I created this for the 'Bring Back Beautiful' challenge at Flourishes. The theme is "The Beauty of Friendship".

Supplies: Flourishes stamps, Copic Markers, Simple Stories 'Generations' Collection DP, DieNamic Cloud Dies

Now promise me - don't laugh! I only have 2 Flourishes stamp sets, and neither of them has a friendship stamp, so I improvised :)  Gotta love improvisation...

I'm also entering this at the Twisted Tuesday Challenges - the challenge is to use non-stamped cloud(s) and this cloud fits - it's a die!

Have a great weekend!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.
