Repeat Impressions #2708 Pine Branch, Repeat Impressions #403 Serenity, Bo Bunny Snowfall Collection DP, DCWV Holiday Collection DP, Memory Box & Die-Namics Dies, Frosted Lace Stickles,Copics Markers, Amuse Brown Cardstock

Since the stamp of the week this week was this Pine Branch, and as it was still on my stamping block (lol), I decided to use it once more.  This time, the sparkle is Frosted Lace Stickles. Hopefully, this looks more like a winter Pine Branch, and my Monday card looks like a fall Pine Branch!

Happy Halloween...

Welcome to a new 'What If Wednesday' sketch challenge for Repeat Impressions Stamps!  We have another great sketch by Wendy to share with you today.

Here is Wendy's Sketch:

And here is my card:
Repeat Impressions Stamps (2323W Halloween Cobweb) (2322W Black Cat), Reminisce "You Don't Scare Me" DP, Authentique "Glowing" DP, Fiskar's Deckle Scissors, Zig Pen, CS from stash, Stickles, Bat Dies from Amuse, Spider Punch is Studio G. from Michael's.

I had all sorts of ideas about flipping this sketch so that the rounded panel would be 'grass' at the bottom, but 'someone' must have snuck in when I wasn't looking and glued the bats at the bottom of the panel.  Hmmm....Funny how a card evolves from a mistake!

Let's see what YOU can do with this fun sketch!  All of the challenge details can be found at the Repeat Impressions Blog, The House That Stamps Built.  You could be a lucky winner!

For more inspiration, visit my fellow Rockstars, to see what they've created!

Under The Sea...

Welcome to another Repeat Impressions' Stamp of the Week Monday!

Today's post features "Under the Sea" (2423-W).
Sigh...no matter how hard I tried, I could not capture the pretty colors in this card.

The image was colored with Copic Markers, and then a few Frosted Lace Stickles were dotted on the 'bubbles', and a few extra bubbles added.  Using an oval Spellbinder, I cut a frame for the image on the card front. I then used the outside of the Spellbinder, and drew an oval onto the card front panel.  I cut it out with my scissors, and adhered it to the front of the card using dimensional squares.
Added some bling, and voila - pretty quick card!

This stamp can be yours this week for 50% off, IF you are a RI reader! Check out the RI blog, The House That Stamps Built for all of the details!

Be sure to stop by and see what my fellow Rockstars have created using this fun image!

I'll be back tomorrow with another Timeless Tuesday Creation!

Until then...
Hugs and smiles galore - Patti J.

Let it Snow....

Hi everyone!

Brrrr....it's cold, very overcast, and drizzling what I'm told is to be freezing rain here.  Hope you are warm where you are!

I have a card to share today that features a fun image from Doodle Pantry.  Meet the Snow Birdies....aren't they just too stinkin' cute?  And what a quick card.  This is one of Laurie's already colored images, so all I had to do was print and create!

CS: TAC Birch, DP: Memory Box Yuletide, Image: Doodle Pantry Snow Birdies, Frosted White Stickles, Marvy Snow Pen

I'm going to enter this in the Merry Monday Challenge #3, using their sketch:

I hope it qualifies for a Christmas card.  We have some people on our recipient list that don't celebrate the holiday, but we still enjoy sending a card, so this will be THEIR Christmas card!

Don't forget - you still have a few days to enter the Doodle Pantry Challenge!
Each participant in the challenge will receive the adorable "Workout Birdies" set free!

Thanks for dropping by!  I'll be back over the weekend sometime - my MRI is finally scheduled for tomorrow morning!  Woot woot.

Have a great weekend, dear friends!

Hugs,
Patti J.

More Stickles!

Hello!

Yesterday, I promised to post the last three cards from the Northwoods workshop, so without further ado, here they are...  gotta move fast before I fall asleep again!  (This being sick is no fun!)

All coloring is with Copics, DP's provided by instructor, don't know the vendor on them, and of course, STICKLES! Also used a snow pen and heat gun on the sled and tree.

I think they turned out pretty nice!  Hope you like them :)

I'm headed back to the pillow, ugh...

Have a great weekend,
Patti J.

NOEL

Good morning, everyone!

Hope you are all doing well.  I've been hired to create a scrapbook for a lady who is giving it as a Christmas gift, so I've been a bit out of pocket lately.

Yesterday, my dear friend, Shirley, and I went into the city and took a Northwoods workshop at For Keep Sakes.  The class was taught by a lovely lady named Mary.  She was just ever so delightful, and even brought us homemade cookies (yum)!

Now, as you know, I rarely use Stickles, but all four of the cards we made yesterday were loaded with Stickles!  So, not only was it fun, but it was slightly out of my comfort zone.  Here is the first card we made yesterday:

I just put the Stickles on the last three cards, so I will post them tomorrow.

All I know about this card is that the image is Northwoods, there are Stickles galore on it, and it's colored with Copic markers.  Not sure who all of the CS's are by.

Enjoy!

Have a great week - I've managed to catch DH's cold that his boss shared with him last week!  The couch, tissues, meds, hot tea, and pillow are calling :)

Take care,
Patti J.

A Child is Born...

Hooray for Friday!
Even an old retiree like me looks forward to the weekends!
lol...(get to see my handsome man a bit more :)

I have the sweetest card to share today.  I tried very hard to keep this one clean and simple, as I have OODLES of deadlines to meet between now and Monday...

Today's image is a C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie digi image from their October 2011 release.  It's called, "Baby Jesus & Angel" from All That Scraps.

Supplies: C.C. Designs Digi Image (All That Scraps), Kraft Cardstock, Bo Bunny Snowfall Collection DP, Stampin'Up Seam Binding (thanks Amanda!), Gold Stickles, Baker's Twine (Really Reasonable Ribbon), Copic Markers
 * * *

The minute I saw this sweet little angel, I knew I'd be buying her!  And how fitting it is that I'm posting this card today, as it is "set up the Nativity Scene on the fireplace mantel" day at our humble abode!  The Nativity is always the first Christmas decoration to go up, followed by the tree, and then 'everything else'.

I've entered very few challenges in the past few months, SO...
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Just For Fun: Winter

Scrapbook Sisters: Christmas
Craft Your Passion: Tis the Season
The Kraft Journal: Christmas Card
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: Anything Christmas
Scrappy Frogs Challenge: Use Kraft
Craft Your Days Away: Bows

I hope that you are enjoying your day, and that you have a wonderful weekend planned.  Tomorrow is the Christmas Open House at the Farmington Pet Adoption Center, so I have a few dozen cookies to bake today.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs and smiles galore,
Patti J.

Winter Church

Hello!

The week is just flying by.  It's so much fun to know that Thursday afternoon, our DS will be flying in for a few days from California.  I haven't seen him since February, and I'm so looking forward to his visit.  Hopefully, you are all getting excited about visiting with family, as well.

Things have been a bit hectic, so I decided this morning that I needed to sit down and create a card just because I wanted to!

The Impression-Obsession image and sentiment were stamped directly onto white Express-It cardstock.  Coloring was done using Copic markers, and everything was glittered up a bit with Frosted Lace Stickles.  I wish you could see this in real life - it's so 'purty'!!!

Impression Obsession H1850-Winter Church, D8623 Peaceful Season Wishes

The ribbon is from my scrap bin, and the snowflake was punched using my nameless old generic punch.  This makes me think of some of the photography that our DD takes.  She loves to shoot photos of old country churches with serene backgrounds.

Well, since I have a few hours to spare, I think I shall enter this in the challenge at Impression Obsession, which is to use no DP.

Have a great day!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

November New Digi Releases at Clear Dollar Stamps!

Hello...
Happy Tuesday, and thanks for stopping by!

Whew....how did it get to be November 15th already?
Someone, or something has been stealing my days :)

Well, as it is the 15th, it's time to reveal the new digi's at Clear Dollar Stamps - I think you are easily going to want them all!

The first card features the pre-colored version, and is literally just arranged and printed.
That's it!  Talk about an easily mass-produced card!  You could even create your own sentiment to include your name, like "Happy Holidays from the Gilliam Family", etc...
A little pink bow was added, and some Frosted Lace Stickles was added to the dots and hanger of the ornament.

The next card features the outlines version.  The image was colored with Copic markers.  Hopefully, the shading resembles glass :)  Gold stickles adorns this ornament.  The DP at the top of this card is from the Loves Ornament set, and was punched using a Martha Stewart border punch.  The Kaiser Craft Pearls were added for a touch of shine.

This set is called "Twelve Days of Christmas".  It's pre-colored, so this card was easy-peasy to create. The DP is also from the "Twelve Days" set.

Please visit the Clear Dollar Stamps site to see all of the new releases.  Each of the DT has created something special for you!

Have a great day,
Patti J.

Sunshine, Smiles, and Sketches by Carly...

Happy Monday, everyone - hope the week is off to a wonderful beginning.
It's a great day to be alive, right?

You all know how there are times that you're not pleased with your creations, and times that you love them?  Well today is a 'love them' kind of day!

Today, I have a project for you that I created by enlarging one of the new fall release digi images from Clear Dollar Stamps, Sunshine & Smiles.

As soon as I saw the image, I knew that I needed wanted to create with it.  I enlarged it to about 4" x 6", colored with Copics, matted on brown and set aside.  Created two covers with chipboard, and covered them with some DP from Close to My Heart (thanks Dawn Lotharius!) which I received some time ago in a blog candy.  I cut some linen weave ivory paper that I had in my stash for the inside...

...and bound everything with my Zutter Binder, which I hardly ever remember to use!  The last step was to tie some twine around the bottom, and use some ribbon scraps at the top.  I think it turned out very nicely, and must find someone special to send it or give it to....  anyone out there need some cheering up?

Next up, is a card made just for Sketches by Carly.  When I saw this sketch, I was like....YIKES!  What a tough sketch - great job Carly!!!  I was totally stumped!

Then, my stubborn-ness (new word) kicked in,
and I thought, "hmmm, can't let a little old sketch beat me", so here's what I came up with.

The image is a Sweet 'n Sassy digi.  All coloring is with Copics, Snowflakes are punched with an old snowflake punch that has no name on it.  Used some frosted Stickles on all of the upper DP dots, and on the snowflakes, snowman, and snow itself.  The small sentiment is Hero Arts.
Again, thought it turned out really cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by - I'm off to see what YOU have been up to...saw lots of eye candy pop up in my reader a bit ago.

Hugs and blessings...Patti J.

Just Chillin...

Goodness, are we EVER chillin'!!!

I'm actually getting this blog post ready on Monday, as they are calling for nearly an inch of ice, topped with 'inches' of snow, and when that happens, we usually are without power for several days.

I was so excited to be invited to serve as a guest designer for the month of February, for Deedee's Digi's!
I met Deedee Anderson while I was working on my very first design team!
She is as sweet as her images are!

For my first project with Deedee, I've made a simple card, using her "Just Chillin' image, and one of the sentiments from the set. This little bear is darling!
To me, she looks a lot like I feel, "is it ever going to stop snowing?" lol....

Supplies Used: Copic Markers, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Frosted Lace Stickles, ZVA Pearls, Cosmo Cricket Material Girl, Bazzill CS
To see more of Deedee's images, check out her store! You will not be disappointed!
To enter this week's challenge, check out the challenge blog, Crafting with Deedees Digi's.
The challenge this week is: Fellowship Week -
Make and donate a card to a charity or church ministry that collects cards for those in need.
We can't wait to see YOUR cards!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs and smiles...Patti J.

Peace...

Happy Sunday, and welcome to another challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ!
Our hostes this week, is Miesje. She has chosen John 14:27, as her scripture: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid".
Miesje's challenge for the week, is to use a Christian symbol of peace, or to make a card or project that shows or shares peace.

Our sponsor this week is Designed 2 Delight Digital Stamps. One lucky challenge participant will receive a $10 gift certificate to shop at Designed 2 Delight!
For my card, I chose Heartfelt Wishes. This is just about the cutest snowfolk ever!
You can find it here!

Supplies: Snowman Image: Designed 2 Delight, Dove Image: There's Magic in the Air, Coloring Medium: Koh-I-Noor Pencils and LOMS, Polar White Flower Soft, Red and Green Stickles
In 1980, the love of my life, my DH received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns over
nearly 80% of his body when our house burned.
As you can imagine, this was a very intense situation for us all.
We were told to expect the worst - he would probably not survive, and should he live,
he would be horribly disfigured.
This week's verse is special to me, as it helped to carry me through the days of his healing. There were the skin graft operations, the emotional strain, and once we got him home, the daily wound debridment, all while I was several months pregnant. Many years later, this same verse continues to carry me through difficult times in my life - the two military deployments of DS, watching DD struggle through, and triumph over an abusive marriage, then move away to Asia for over a year, the loss of our parents and grandparents, etc. The glorious peace of the Lord, and the peace that this verse has given me over the years has kept me calm and sane for my family.
I wish for all of you peace in this new week!
Smiles and blessings,
Patti J.

Peace...

It's off to the doc with us this a.m. for a surgery follow-up. I leave you with this card. I'm quite pleased with everything but the coloring! (We are our own worst critics!)

The image is from Inky Impressions, the CS is from a DCWV stack.

The challenges that I am entering this card in are:

Inky Impressions: The challenge is 'charm it'. I had this little silver heart charm, and I covered it with some pretty soft pink Stickles that were in my winnings (as was the stamp image!!!) from Chris Olsen's blog candy.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ: The challenge for Stampin' Sisters in Christ this week was to make a card or project that was about peace and/or prayer.

Thanks for stopping by - cross your fingers that my computer is delieverd this weekend!

Take care,

Patti J.

There is Magic in the Air!!!

Meet Orson!

Orson is Nina's very cute creation! Nina has a new blog - "There is Magic in the Air", (see my link on sidebar!) and will be featuring her very own creations for purchase! Orson was a freebie until Monday, and will then be available for purchase. On Monday morning, she will post another new image!

This card is for Nina, and uses the Sunday sketch over at 365 Cards! Hope you like it!

I printed out the image, cut it out to fit on my red CS. I then used the Scor-Pal to create the diagonal lines, and dotted them with an outlining marker (hoping for a quilted look). I used red stickles for the glitter, and computer generated the sentiment! Ink is Versafine Black, and Orson was colored with Kooh-I-Noor woodless pencils and low odor mineral spirits.

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is well - I have lots to do today, so I will chat more tomorrow! Take care...
