Die-Versions and Sparkle n Sprinkle Hop - Awareness Campaign

Hello!

I've recently stepped down from the Die-Versions Design Team, and sadly, this is my last post.
It's been a great couple of years, and I've enjoyed working with Dani, the owner, and the wonderful ladies on the Design Team. Thanks, Dani, for inviting me to be a part of your family!
What could be more fun than ending my time with a fabulous blog hop???

Sparkle N Sprinkle and Die-Versions are partnering up for a very special joint blog hop, called the Awareness Campaign.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the newly released Die-Versions dies and the stamp sets revealed in the joint blog hop will go to help with cancer research.
Almost every one has been touched by cancer is one way or another.  Either you or a family member has had cancer or you know someone who has had cancer.  The Designers from both teams are joining together to help the fight to eradicate all cancers by inspiring you.

Not only are we debuting NINE new Die-Versions low profile dies (July 2015 Reveal - scroll down to the end of the reveal), Sparkle N Sprinkle is also revealing THREE stamp sets for this Awareness Campaign.

The SNS sets are:

Pink Ribbon Background 408  (digi version DIGI408)
Survivor 713    (digi version DIGI713T)
Awareness 714   (digi version  DIGI714T)

A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the Designers' blogs and will be announced on August 4th.  You won't know who the Mystery Designer is until after the Joint Blog hop, so remember to leave a comment with each of the Designers.

The Winner will be announced on the Die-Versions Facebook page, the Sparkle N Sprinkle Facebook page, the DV Blog, and on the SNS Blog and will receive a $25 gift certificate from BOTH Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Hope you are ready to hop!!!
If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop list at the Die-Versions blog - Die-Versions.

You should have arrived here from Shona's blog, where I'm sure you saw lots of delightful inspiration!

When you leave here, you will visit the uber-talented Mary!

(*tip: click on the Designer's Home tab or the title of her blog if you have any issues with the link.)

We hope you enjoy the Awareness Joint Blog Hop as much as we have enjoyed creating new projects for it.  We also hope that we have inspired you as well.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  (We love reading them too since your comments also inspire us.)

Here's what I made!

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for stopping by!

It's Photo Inspiration Challenge time at 'The House'

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built!
Today's challenge is an inspirational photo. This month, we got to choose from 2 inspiration photos.  I love the colors and the shine on both of these pics,
don't you???

Here are the inspiration photos:

Photo inspirations areSTILL the toughest challenges for me.
But...I'm learning to step outside my comfort zone!

The fireworks and flag were both inked up by daubing ink directly to the stamp, using a small finger dauber.
The fireworks were then stamped again with Versamark ink, and embossed with a fine silver embossing powder.
The image was shadow inked, by inking first with red, and then moving the stamp a bit, and stamping again in blue.
The 'flag' is popped up with foam dots.

Ta da!

It's been a busy month for us, so this is a pretty clean and simple card.
Hope you like it!

Now, come on over and join us in our Photo Inspiration Challenge!
Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!

Hey Chickie...

Happy Saturday!

Even though I'm retired, I still get excited about weekends - just habit, I guess!
It's my day to post for Great Impressions, and I chose some of the newer
releases to showcase.  This little chicken is spending his weekend on the beach,
flip flops, and all!

For today's card, I used these Great Impressions Stamps:

The chicken was stamped and colored, onto the focal panel.
Another chicken was stamped onto a post it note, and fussy cut,
to use as a mask.
The mask was placed onto the panel.
The Beach Sand was stamped a few times, to give this little guy
ample space to hang out.
Once the sand was stamped, the water was hand drawn with a marker,
and the sky was sponged with distress inks.
A Wink of Stella Brush Pen gave some sparkle to the sand and water,
and a thought bubble was created for a bit of whimsy.
Three little enamel dots were added as a finishing touch.

Hope you like him! I think he's a cutie patootie, for sure!

Don't forget about our GI challenge!

I fell in love with these sweeties!  What fun they were to color!

Hope you like these darling flamingos!

CardMaker hops with Avery Elle!

Good Morning!

Today, the CardMaker Blog Team is hopping with the Avery Elle team,
and we will all be sharing some fun new release products!

I love happy mail, and the Avery Elle stamps and dies that I
received to work with were happy mail, indeed -thank you Avery Elle!

I have used Avery Elle ST-15-22 Bring on the Cake for my projects.

Here's what I created:

The first two cards, use the bundt cake image and sentiment...
pretty cute sentiment, right?
The images were colored with markers, and popped up on the pennant
using dimensional foam. The pennant was also popped up on the
card base with foam.

One of my favorite stamps in this set is the darling TEENSY sprinkles.
Hope I never drop this one!

Next up, the cake slice was used, along with the 'Happy Birthday" sentiment. This time, the image was paper pieced. If you enlarge the photo, you can see what fun I had glossing the image up with some Glossy Accents.
The sweet sprinkles were stamped on the cake top and sentiment -
love that wee stamp!

Last, but certainly not least, I just had to use this sweet little cupcake!
Don't you just love the 'wish' font?
I tried to color the cupcake to look like the real thing.
What do you think?
I wanted to use the sprinkles, but since there were none on the
real cuppie, I decided to stamp it just once on the sentiment.
Made me uber-happy!

All righty....on we go!

Next up, hop on over to Karolyn's blog. Prepare to be wow'd,
as she is pretty amazing!

Be sure to leave lots of love along the way, and wait!
There's more!

Avery Elle will be giving away a $30 Avery Elle Gift Certificate on
the Avery Elle Blog, so be sure to go check out the details!

Thanks for hopping with us today - it's been fun!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Fun with Die-Versions!

Die-Versions has another great new release, and I had a great time
creating with one of the new dies.

for my card.

Here's what I created:

To begin, I die cut the lamp from a piece of patterned paper. I put some adhesive on the back side, die cut the lamp again in black, and inlaid the pieces into the opening on the patterned paper. I cut one more time, using some yellow patterned paper, and filled in the light itself. To finish, I stamped a sentiment, matted the layers together, and Voila!

Note that this lamp post is a great size for your A2 cards! Some that I've seen are pretty short, but this one would make such a nice backdrop for other dies or images. Can't wait to use it again!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hope you will become a follower of the Die-Versions blog,
and do a bit of shopping at the Die-Versions store - they have some wonderful new releases!
