Seasons Givings Year 8 Blog Hop

Image may contain: food

Happy New Year, dear friends!
Can you believe another year has flown by?

This is my 3rd post of the day - scroll up or down? to find my posts for The House that Stamps Built (Repeat Impressions Stamps blog), or 2 Crafty Critter Crazies...

I'm very excited to once again be part of the Seasons Giving Blog Hop, hosted by Latisha Yost. The hop started when Latisha was talking with a friend about all of the product that we have that goes unused....doubles or triples of something, ribbon you don't like, a kit you received that's not your style, a gently used product, etc. As designers, we all have something that is just sitting here unused, gently used, or maybe we just love our blog readers, and want to go out and buy something new to give away!

This hop is my opportunity to thank you so much for your support, especially this year. It's been a bit of a tough year for me again health-wise, and I appreciate those of you who are still dropping by. If you are a new subscriber, welcome! I love making new online friends!

PRIZES!!!!!
Each one of us on the hop will have some type of giveaway on our blogs. Be sure to hop, and enter to be eligible to win. There are lots of free crafty goodies to help start this year out right!

I will be giving two prizes packages!

To enter, just leave a comment on this post. PLEASE include an email address, so I can contact you. I will announce my winners on Monday, January 6th.

This quick card to wish you all well, features some Repeat Impressions stamps - I hope that 2020 is very good to you!

Thanks for stopping by!
Patti J.

Here is the list of the amazing stops on today's hop. If I am your first stop, curl up with a cup of something delicious, and get ready to hop! Thank you so much, Latisha, for taking the time to organize this hop each year!

Anything Goes at The House that Stamps Built!

Merry Christmas!!!

Today is a new challenge for Repeat Impressions Stamps.
It’s an 'Anything Goes' challenge at the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built, we hope you will join us!

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

The cold weather is upon us, so I thought I'd create with some snowflakes today!
The snowflakes and sentiment are heat embossed with silver powder. A strip of glittery washi tape and some black layering finished this card up nicely! Hope you enjoy it!

Now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s challenge, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
One lucky person this month will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Check out my sidebar - grab the code to save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well, this year has flown by! Hope you are all ready for the holidays. We are looking forward to Christmas with daughter and her family, but sadly missing son and his family. Having them on two different coasts makes things hard sometimes.  We will fly to the other coast next month for a grandson's 4th birthday!

Thought I'd just share a few things that I've never gotten posted today.

This fun card was made at a Stampin' Up Card and Cuppa that I attend every 2nd and 4th Tuesday.
Sally McDonald heads this up, and we all have such a great time.  Here is the outside of this card:

And here is the inside:

Sally's daughter, Kim, came all the way from Hawaii to inspire us with this one!

Here is one of the styles of Christmas card I made. The stamps are Penny Black. The image was colored with Copic markers, and some 'stars' added with stickles. The sky was sponged using a make up brush.

I think all in all, I made 6 different styles this year. Here are the two boxes, ready to go. We either mailed or delivered 168 hand made cards. Whew....!

That's it for today!

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Scor-Pal Challenge Reminder!

Hello there, everyone!

It's mid-way through the month, so here is your reminder about the monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, and the theme is Any December Holiday, and of course, more than one fold.

I was just checking out the blog, and there are only 8 entries, so get your projects in - you might be the monthly winner (we need ten entries to give a prize!)

Here was my project this month.

For instructions, see my original post HERE.

Sadly, this is my last month with Scor-Pal. They are wonderful to work with/for - if you ever get a chance to answer a DT call, do so! Unfortunately, my 'plate' was getting too full, and with an upcoming new commitment in February, I felt the need to let some things go. There are just not enough hours in the day!

Thanks to Katie, Diana, and the entire group at Scor-Pal. I had a wonderful 2.5 years of creating with great products, and an insanely talented design team!

There's lots of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on the Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

Thanks for stopping by, and as always, Happy Scoring!

Tic Tac Toe at The House that Stamps Built

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

I chose to work with: Teddy Bears, Not a Standard Card Shape, and Vellum. All three of these are things I don't normally choose to work with, so I thought I'd get adventurous!

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Here's my creation:

Now it’s your turn! Create something using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Pick of the Week

Hi everyone!
It's my turn to share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps Built. The Repeat Impressions Stamp that I picked to showcase is:

It's that time of year, right?....the time when you scramble for a 'little something' to give to a friend, neighbor, UPS driver, teacher, etc. I'm going to show you how to make a quick and easy matchbox style box that can easily hold candles, markers, or sweet treats!

Here's what I made:

Let's get started!

You will need one piece of cardstock for the box bottom that measures 8.25" x 3.75".
You will also need a piece for your box 'cover' that measures 6.25" x 7"
Then you just need some scraps for whatever sentiment or image you choose to use on your box top!

To create your box, score your cardstock at 1" on all four sides. Trim your tabs in just a smidge on each side, so the box will fit together nicely. Take a small circle punch or die, and make a small finger hold on each of the short ends as shown below:

Next, flip your box over and add some adhesive to your flaps:

Now, just fold your tabs to the inside to assemble your box - It will look like this:

To make your cover, score the cardstock along the 7" side at 1 7/8", 3", 4 7/8", and 6".

Add some adhesive to the smallest section.

Remove adhesive backing, and assemble 'cover':

Your box cover will look like this when assembled:

Last, I added a scrap of patterned cardstock to the bottom of my box - this is optional!

Ta-da, and Ta-done!

Wouldn't these be make a fun gift to say 'just because'?

Hope you will give this a try - it really is easy and fast, makes such a fun project! It's also a great way to use those scraps of cardstock that we tend to save ration hoard!!!

For this week only (Dec. 9-15, 2019), get 20% Off the stamp used in Patti's creation above when you use the coupon code POTW12919.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.
