Red, White, and Blue

 Hello!

So glad you stopped by today!

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built! Our challenge for this week is to use Red, White, and Blue on our cards.

Since the 4th is right around the corner, I decided to stick with Patriotic for my card:

I used these Repeat Impressions' stamps:

I repeatedly stamped the focal image with gray ink on a white panel. Then I stamped the same panel and sentiment in blue ink, and matted them in blue. A few stars were stamped in red, fussy cut, and adhered to background. Ta-da!

So, now it's your turn! Come join us in our 'Red, White, and Blue' challenge!Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps, but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!
I can't wait to see your beautiful scene cards!!!

Clean and Simple Card

Hello!

I have a clean and simple card to share today, using #SD1137 Ocean Frame Sentiments, and fun whale stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. This was such an easy creation!

Here's my card:

Look at this fun fella! To create this card, I simply used the whale stencil, an Ink Blending Brush, and some blue Ink. After the whale was stenciled, I stamped the sentiment, and added a few score lines for interest and texture. To finish the card, some glossy accents was added to the bubbles and waves, and to create an eye.

That's it! Easy as can be!
I am loving this June release! Hope you see something you like!

Every day should be a Sundae!

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have 2 'sweet' cards to share today, using a fun new release stamp, #SD1105 Sundae, from Technique Junkies. What a great stamp - I'm totally in favor of making every day a Sundae, how about you?

Here's my first card:

I wish you could see all the shiny goodness on this card. The image was colored with Copics, and the ice cream and strawberry were covered with Glossy Accents. In real life, this looks totally yummy! The background clouds were created with Ink Blending Brushes, and A Colorful Life Designs 'Cloud Edger' Stencil.

This card was also colored with Copics, and embellished with Glossy Accents. Seriously, does this not look good enough to eat?

These were pretty easy to create, and I'm having a lot of fun with the June release! However, I think I'm going to have to say goodbye for today, and go eat some ice cream!!!

So glad you stopped by today!

Create a Scene

Hello!
So glad you stopped by today!

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built! Our challenge for this week is to create a scene.

We have had family in from Wisconsin for the past week, and my time in the 'girl cave' has been very limited!  This said, I decided that I could either stress in the middle of the night over making a card, or....I could delve into past 'scenes', and bring back something fun. I chose to not choose stress over visiting with family!
I don't know about you, but I'm always thinking ahead. Here we are in the beginning of summer, and I know that in the blink of an eye, it will be fall!  So, I thought I'd share a bit of fall inspiration today, and get you thinking of cool October days!

Back in 2016, we were given this inspiration photo to create with:

Here is what I made WAY back in 2016, using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

So, now it's your turn! Come join us in our 'Create a Scene' challenge!Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps, but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!

Sketched Beach and Fireworks

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have three fun cards to share today.

The first two cards feature a June release stamp, #S907 Sketched Beach.

The first card was stamped with black Memento Ink,  colored with Copic Markers, and adhered to the card base. The sentiment is from an older Technique Junkies set #SS02b Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b.  I love these little sentiments - there are two different sets, and they are perfect for all occasions!

This card uses a sentiment from the same sentiment set.  For this card, the image was stamped, and then ink blending brushes were used to add some color to the panel. I then used two dies, cutting out part of the image, and matting it with cardstock to match the card base. The first layer was adhered directly to the card base, and after matting, each of the next two layers were adhered using dimensional foam.

As our Independence Day is approaching, I thought it would be fun to play with some fireworks and sparkle!  I used two older stamps #S756 Fireworks, and #SD808 Like Fireworks for this card. The image was stamped with blue ink, and some stickles were used, along with some rhinestones, to add some shimmer and shine to the panel. A couple of pieces of silver cardstock were placed behind the panel, and finally, the panel was adhered to the card base.

I'm really enjoying this June release! Hope you are too!!!

Ink Blending Brushes and Distress Oxide Inks were used here. The ink colors were Salvaged Patina, Spun Sugar, and Chipped Sapphire.

Slightly better view...

Flag Across America

Hi there!
I have 3 cards to share today, using the new release stamp #S888 'Flag Across America'. This is a beautiful stamp. My first instincts when I saw this image, was to send a card to each of our kids and their family. One lives in the DC area, one in the Sacramento CA area, and of course, we live in the St Louis area.

Here's what I made for them:

These two cards were colored with Copic markers, distressed with a paper towel dipped in alcohol, a fine point marker, and a couple of red glitter hearts. The sentiments are from one of my favorite older Technique Junkies sets #SS02b Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b.

Don't forget about our Independence Day coming up July 4th! This would be a perfect image for the holiday!

For the third card, I used the image, and stamped over top of it with a Technique Junkies stamp #SD436 'America Beats True'.

These were easy cards to create!  I am having a lot of fun with this June release! Hope you see something you like!

Fun Fold Challenge

  Hi there, crafty friends!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built. This week, Wendy has challenged us to use a theme of 'Fun Folds'.

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

This is a shadowbox card.

You just need 2 pcs of cardstock the same size. Score each piece 1/2" and 1" from each side. Cut your opening out of the 'front' piece and glue or staple the ends together after all stamping and embellishing is complete.

We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s theme, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Born to be Wild

 Hi everyone!

It's my turn to share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps Built

Since Father's Day is coming up soon, I thought it would be fun to re-share one of my favorite Repeat Impressions' cards.

The Repeat Impressions Stamps that I used for this card are:

A bit of stamping, coloring and layering created a fun focal panel. The panel was mounted onto a dry embossed silver panel, and then adhered to a red card base. Pretty cute, right???

Grab those RI stamps and create something fun!

All About the Boys

 Hi there, crafty friends!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built. With Father's Day right around the corner, Wendy has challenged us to use a theme of 'All About the Boys' this week.

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Our grandson has been taking swimming lessons. While we were in DC a few weeks ago, we were able to watch the kids swim. They are SO good in the water! Anyway, Nate got promoted into the next class, so there was a definite need for a hooray card for our 'little fish'!!!

Here's what I made:

Tried for a better photo, but just could NOT get the lighting right for this card. Oh well, you get it, right???

And here is the way the card opens up. Isn't this adorable? I found lots of ideas on Pinterest, and sort of designed my own shape and size here. Note: the sentiments on the inside of the card are not RI stamps, but the bubbles, plant, and fish definitely are!!!

Here's a close up shot of the silly fish face.

This was a fun challenge, and I hope you'll all join in! We all need some man cards in our stash!

Framed Seascape

Hello!

It's June 1st - Release day at Technique Junkies! We have some awesome new stamps for you, and all of them are 15% off through June 8th! No codes are needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Here is the Gotta Have it all Bundle, and a little preview of the new stamps:

I've never created much with sea or beach related stamps, so I'd be lying if I said that this month didn't scare me a little (okay, a lot!).  All three of my cards use the image #S927 'Framed Seascape' and sentiments from the new set #SD1137 'Ocean Frame Sentiments'.

Without further chatter, here are my cards for today's hop:

For this first card, I used some blue alcohol inks and a silver mixative, and created a background. Then, I simply stamped the image and sentiment using black Staz-On ink and my stamp positioner. I'm pleased with the final outcome and hope you like it!

This time, I decided to get my Copics out, and color the scene. Once I had everything the way I wanted it, I fussy cut the entire panel, and popped it up on a card base with some dimensional foam. I'm pretty happy with this one, too!

Last, but not least, I went with simple again. I found a piece of designer paper and heat embossed the image and sentiment using Versamark Ink and white embossing powder. And...of course, my stamp positioner! Again, I fussy cut the panel, and adhered it directly to the card base.

So....which one is your favorite?

I hope you like these fun new releases, and can't wait for you to see the rest of this release!
