March 27, 2020

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share another card using 'Bad Decisions' from the March new releases.  The background was created using the K-Flip Technique from the October-November 2014 Technique Junkies Tutorial.  The image/sentiment was stamped with the K-Pad, and stamped again on a piece of cardstock covered with Washi Tape strips. I fussy cut the dress and adhered it to the focal panel. A gemstone finished off the focal panel.  A couple of Washi Tape strips were added to each side of the K-Flip panel, and the card was assembled.

Anything Goes Challenge at The House that Stamps Built

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all surviving the virus. So far, we are doing well virus-wise.

Today is a new challenge for Repeat Impressions Stamps.
It’s 'Anything Goes' at the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built, and we hope you will join us!

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

9108 G Born to be Wild

Thought this would make a fun man-card!
I stamped the image, then die cut it, sponging some colors on the circle while it was still in the die.
It was mounted on an embossed silver panel - love how masculine this looks!
Hope you enjoy it!

Now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s challenge, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Inspiration Palette Challenge at The House that Stamps Built

Happy Wednesday!

It’s challenge day at the Repeat Impressions blog, The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Inspiration Palette Challenge for you. Here is the Inspiration Palette that Wendy gave us this week:

I was drawn in immediately by these colors, so that's what I went with....

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

I stamped the Tulip Bouquet 3 times along the top edge of a white panel. Colored the images with Copic Markers, then fussy cut everything at the top. I drew in some black 'border lines' with a Sharpie marker, added some striped Washi Tape, and stamped the sentiment. Once the focal panel was finished, I printed the Inspiration Palette Photo on cardstock, and adhered the focal panel to it. Just a bit of trimming and it was all ready for a card base!

Hope you like it!

Pick of the Week

Hi everyone!
It's Patti's turn to share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps Built. The Repeat Impressions Stampthat I picked to showcase are:

Can you believe Easter is right around the corner? Seems like we were just enduring the never-ending month of January, and moaning about having to remember to put 2020 on things!

I thought I'd share another fun fold with ya'll today! Here's what I made:

Let's get started!

First you need a 5.5" x 7.5" piece of cardstock for your card base.
Score this on the long side at 4.25" as shown below:

Next, you will need to decide on your focal panel so you know what size to cut your flap.
Here is my image:

My flap needed to be 4.75" x 3 1/8" in order to hold my image. Score on the long side, at 3", as shown below:

Cut two white panels:
1 @ 5.25" x 4"
1 @ 5.25" x 3"

Add some adhesive to the inside of your flap (I used Scor-Tape so it would be visible)

Adhere the small piece of the flap over the larger of the two white panels where desired - you may want it in the middle, to the left, to the right.

Here's what this looks like from the front.

Adhere white panel to card base, as shown.

Adhere smaller white panel to card base, as shown below:

Adhere focal panel to your flap.

Adhere sentiment, or a flower, 'something' that you can adhere using dimensional foam. This will allow your flap to slip behind and keep card closed.

If desired grab your markers, and dot the white space to match the focal panel.

Ta-da, - Ta-done!

For this week only (Mar. 16-Mar. 22, 2020), get 20% off the two stamps used in my creation above when you use the coupon code POTW31620.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,

Prison Orange...

Hello!
I have a sweet card to share with you today. It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and wanted to feature three fun stamps, 'Delicate Wildflowers', 'Prison Orange', and 'Bad Decisions', from the March new releases.

The Delicate Wildflowers was stamped in orange ink, on an orange card base.

Next, I stamped 'Bad Decisions' in Black ink. I stamped this image again in orange ink, then fussy cut the gal's pretty dress and adhered it over top of the black stamped image.

Last, the sentiment was too large to go into the space on my coffee cup, so I masked off the 'because prison orange is not my color', and inked only the word 'coffee' on the cup piece. I removed the mask, and stamped. After doing that, I masked off the word 'coffee', and inked the remainder of the sentiment in black ink. I removed the mask from the word 'coffee', and stamped the sentiment. Some black matting finished up the focal panels nicely.

Tic Tac Toe at The House that Stamps Built

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

I chose to work with: Washi Tape, B & W + 1 Color, and Square Card. I need sunshine this time of year, so this stamp & the color yellow spoke to me!

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Here's my creation:

The striped washi tape was perfect to border top and bottom.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento black, and shadowed in MFT Daffodil.
To finish, I just cut to size* and layered on card base.

*Lol...must laugh at myself. This card was done, photo taken, and blog post started, when I realized that I had created a rectangle card, when the TTT board called for a square board! So, this was cut to size twice!

Now it’s your turn! Create something using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Better in the Country...

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share another card using 'Better in the Country' from the March new releases.  The background was stenciled using 'A Colorful Life Designs 6 x 9 Stencil 'Messy Diamond Grid'.

I took this photo at an angle, so you could better see the embossing.

This was so easy to create! Hope you will give it a try!

Repeat Impressions' Designer's Choice Challenge - Raining Cats and Dogs

Hi there, crafty friends!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Designer’s Choice Challenge for you. Esther is our hostess for the month, and has challenged us all to use our RI stamps to create something using the theme: "It's Raining Cats and Dogs".

Here's what I made using this Repeat Impressions Stamp:

I simply stenciled a heart background, stamped the sentiment, and added a die cut frame and some critters! So easy, and pretty cute, too!

This was a fun challenge - thanks Esther!

 And now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s DCC theme, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
