Anything Goes at The House that Stamps Built

Happy Wednesday!
Today is a new challenge for Repeat Impressions Stamps.
It’s an 'Anything Goes' challenge at the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built, we hope you will join us!

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Sometimes you just need a card that is simply stated, and simple to create. This one was both. I love the sentiment and the fun stamp!  The cat was stamped on white cardstock, and colored with Copics. Then I drew a floor and some baseboard, and trimmed up the focal panel to fit on a card front. The sentiment was matted to look like a wall hanging. Both pieces are popped up with dimensional foam. Easy peasy!

Now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s challenge, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
One lucky person this month will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

Wonderful blogging friends!

Hi there!
So, have ya'll ever seen the thing online that says something like "I love my computer, because my friends live there"??? Well, folks...it's true!  I've been blogging now for over 12 years (missed my blogaversary in September!)  During this time, I've been fortunate enough to meet on-line friends in several different states, talk to many on the phone, and text with others. Not to mention my creative friends here locally!  Let me tell you about today's happy mail!

My friend Pam Sparks, is one of the most talented crafters you will ever find. And if that's not enough, she is SO kind.  (If you don't follow Pam, RUN right now and do so!) We've been friends for several years now, and I totally look forward to her blog posts, and occasional text sessions. I have no doubt that if we lived near each other, we would be crafting buddies! Just prior to Pam's posting THIS blog post, she had texted me a photo of her card, which was gorgeous.  Of course, I squealed out loud and told her how pretty it was. Today, when I went to the mailbox, I found a kit with everything needed to make this beautiful card! Needless to say, whatever else was hanging fire, would have to wait until I created! Thank you so much Pam!

Here is my card:

This is one that I sorta hate to mail - lol.... would like to frame it!

Next up, I have a Christmas card that I made over the weekend. I like the simplicity of the card, and it went together very quickly.

I'm going to enter this on in the Wednesday Sketch Challenge #463 at My Favorite Things.

Here is the sketch:

Hope that you are all doing well today. It's a little cold and dreary here, but I guess that's to be expected this time of year!  Looking forward to a fun day with my bestie Shirley, tomorrow. We are going to do a bit of shopping, and just spend a day together.

Take care, and keep smiling!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at The House that Stamps Built

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

I chose to work with the middle row - Paper Piecing, Patterned Paper, and Anything But A Card.

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

I decided to create an open top box for some nugget candies, and a little tag.
Here's my creations:

Now it’s your turn! Create something using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

AND...last but not least ...
NOTICE:
Repeat Impressions is clearing out their show inventory. So while they last,
they have very limited quantities of 100's of designs of Wood Mount Stamps available - Priced less than their cling mount stamps!

Inventory will be added and updated daily so check back often for design availability. Priced as shown, no coupon code needed. As show stock is depleted the various wood mount stamps will return to their regular prices so get them before they're gone.

Now, it's time to see what my fellow Rock Stars have created!

Sketch Challenge 462 at My Favorite Things

Hi folks!

I made a card this morning 'just because'! I saw this sketch challenge the other day, and wanted to play along. I'm coming in slightly under the wire, as the deadline is tomorrow!

When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought of this sweet image, and these patterned papers.
I stamped the image, colored with Copic Markers, then cut a heart shape around it, with a little 'outside the box' involved.

You can find this adorable stamp set at My Favorite Things, HERE.

Hope you like it!  I'm entering it in the Wednesday Sketch Challenge #462 at My Favorite Things.
If you get a chance, head over and look at the wonderful inspiration by their design team!

Have a great day - I'm staying in today. We're having a mix of snow, rain, and sleet, and it's supposed to drop to 12 degrees. Great day to design our Christmas cards!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and grins,
Patti J.

Designer's Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built

Happy 1st Wednesday in November!
Almost turkey time - is everyone ready for that afternoon, after turkey nap?

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built, and we have a new Designer’s Choice Challenge for you. Our hostess for the month is Laurie, and she has challenged us to 'Frame It'! Please join us in our challenge, and create something using the theme: "Frame It".

Here's what I made using this Repeat Impressions Stamp:

For my card, I started with a white card base, and added a piece of patterned paper. I then die cut the Snowman Frame die from white cardstock, decorated him with a bit of red, orange and black, and gave him some gifts (also from the patterned paper).  Stamped and framed the sentiment! Added an additional 'gift' to the inside of the card.

 And now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s DCC theme, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Scor-Pal....Birthday, Family Celebration, etc.

Hello there, everyone!

This is my second post today. If you are looking for my 2 Crafty Critter Crazies post, just scroll up (down?)!

It's time for a new monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, and the theme is Birthday or Family Celebration (Thanks, Christmas, etc.), and of course, more than one fold.

I created a fun fold card this month.

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here's what I made:

This shows the card fully closed (sorry about the ugly clothespins!)

Popped off the clothespins...

Opened the card...

View from the top...

The base is 5.5" x 8.5" scored in half to create an A2 card.

The white insert is 5.5" x 6.5".
With the 6.5" side at the top of Scor-Pal, score at 1/2", 2.5", and 4.5".

Burnish score lines, stamp and/or add paper to the card as shown, and add your adhesive onto the front edge of the 1/2" line.

Assemble as shown.

For my focal piece on the front, I cut out two varied sized circles, and another circle from the patterned paper that is on the inside panel.

Pretty simple, except that I couldn't get the adhesive to stop at the right places on my card front, so I just used the adhesive on the entire strip, and added glitter to the cut out section of the large circle.

I couldn't find any written or video instructions for this card - just had an old, old photo that I had printed and stuck in a drawer a few years ago.  You might come up with a better recipe than I have!

We have a ton of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

We hope to see your creations for Harvest or Fall in our 'More Than One Fold', Scor-Pal challenge!

Happy Scoring!

2 Crafty Critter Crazies sponsored by The Paper Shelter

Good morning everyone!

Today, I am sharing another fun creation for 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!  This is such a fun group - each creation must include a critter, and you all know how much I love critters!

If you are looking for my Scor-Pal post, please scroll up (down???)!

Since it's the first of November, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!

The sponsor for September is The Paper Shelter.  These images are so so pretty! I printed this pre-colored image twice, once for the card base, and one to fussy cut and pop up over top of the base. On the fussy cut image, I added lots of glitter, white fluff, icy crystals, glossy accents, sparkle pen, etc. You'll just have to enlarge the photo to see all of the sparkles!

Here's my card:

As the card base is silver metallic, it was tough to photograph!

I'm going to enter this in the challenge at The Paper Shelter, 'Make it Square'!

Hope you like it!

Please check out the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies blog to see some great inspiration that the design team is sharing with you. We hope that you will all play along this month - can't wait to see your critter creations!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.
