Happy Halloween...

Welcome to a new 'What If Wednesday' sketch challenge for Repeat Impressions Stamps!  We have another great sketch by Wendy to share with you today.

Here is Wendy's Sketch:

And here is my card:
Repeat Impressions Stamps (2323W Halloween Cobweb) (2322W Black Cat), Reminisce "You Don't Scare Me" DP, Authentique "Glowing" DP, Fiskar's Deckle Scissors, Zig Pen, CS from stash, Stickles, Bat Dies from Amuse, Spider Punch is Studio G. from Michael's.

I had all sorts of ideas about flipping this sketch so that the rounded panel would be 'grass' at the bottom, but 'someone' must have snuck in when I wasn't looking and glued the bats at the bottom of the panel.  Hmmm....Funny how a card evolves from a mistake!

Let's see what YOU can do with this fun sketch!  All of the challenge details can be found at the Repeat Impressions Blog, The House That Stamps Built.  You could be a lucky winner!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Oh my, it's really sneaking up on us quickly!

I thought I would sit down this morning and make a few cards, as who knows what I will have time for next week!

This first card is another set of stamps that I got at Collinsville in April, that I honestly TOTALLY forgot I had! This beautiful scene is from Heartfelt Creations. The window was stamped, then stamped again to create a mask. The scene was stamped, the mask removed, and all coloring except for the door and chimney were done with pencils and LOMS. The door and chimney were colored with Tombow markers. The snow is white fun flock. Sentiment is from Great Impressions.

I am entering the above card at: A Spoonfull of Sugar (#133, Christmas Card), Creative Card Crew (Anything Goes), Stamptacular Sunday Challenge (#89 Winter Scene), For Fun Challenges (Christmas), One Stitch at a Time (Anything Goes), Freshly Brewed Challenges (Merry Christmas) Speedy the Cat's Challenge (Paper Piecing)

***
This little cutie is a free pre-colored (yup! free AND pre-colored) image and sentiment set from Clear Dollar Stamps, designed by Laurie Wilson. Totally easy peasy! Print, (I printed a second time to paper piece the hat, nose, and vest), touch up the snow with a glitter pen, and add a few butterflies! Voila - 10 min. card (half of that was spent fighting with my printer)!

I am entering the above card at: Flutterby Wednesdays (open challenge - include butterfly, angel, or fairy)

***

WARNING! If you own sunglasses, or maybe horse blinders, this would be a wonderful time to put them on. Really. Would I lie to you?

This card was created with one of those teensy clear stamps that Joanne's Crafts carries. Too cute! I actually got 6 of these, as each section is paperpieced by stamping the tree over and over on 6 different colors of CS. Sentiment is Northwoods. Another easy peasy mass production!

The above card will be entered at: Incy Wincy Designs (Christmas Card using non-traditional colors), ABC Christmas Challenge (Use any past challenge - I chose 9-22-10's challenge of T=Tree)

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you and yours are enjoying the beauty of this season!

Hugs, Patti J.

Happy Birthday...

I needed a little something for a friend that has an upcoming birthday, so I thought that I'd use TAC's new set, "Wonder and Joy" for the focal image.

I just love the darling little kids in this set!

I've colored with Koh-I-Noor, used a black gel pen for the eyes and mouth on the balloon and the little girl's eyes.

Obviously, she was too long to fit in a nestie, so I trimmed at the bottom and top until most of her would fit, and just let those parts lay on the outside of the nestie rim.

The hat on the sentiment stamp inside of the card (Studio G.) is paper pieced with the same cardstock as is on the front, but like the little card at the top, it's made from the back side of this fabulous two sided CS by Chatterbox!
I used the Martha Stewart "Loopy" edge punch on both sides, but on the left edge, I clipped off the 'loops'.

I hope she makes you smile - she's such a little cutie!
I'm entering this card here:

Creative Card Crew: Celebrations
ABC - Paper Piecing
Stamp Something - Something Girly
Saturday Spotlight - Hey Girlfriend

Here are a couple of photos of our old, sad, kitchen. The countertops were removed yesterday, and new ones were installed, but you can't see the new counters until the cabinets are painted, the walls are painted and tiled, and the new flooring is down, so it will be a long while coming!!!

Have a good night! Don't forget to register to win the set of Nesties! DH has another Dr. appt. on Friday -I may not get to draw until later in the day! Good luck, everyone!

Another church blooper: Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.
