Project of the Week - The House that Stamps Built

Good morning!

I'm the Monday morning hostess at The House that Stamps Built. It's my turn to share a 'Project of the Week' with all of you.  Today, I chose 'Inking with Finger Daubers' for my tutorial.

For this tutorial, I'm using these Repeat Impressions stamps:

First, gather your supplies.  You will need a few inks, a few finger daubers, and a fun stamp.

Using a finger dauber, ink up the first cat, being sure not to ink up any of the other parts of the stamp.

Stamp the first image, and repeat the process on the second cat, using a different ink and dauber.

Here is what it looks like.  As you can see, I got a bit of ink on the 'framework' of the stamp.
No worries!

Repeat the process using a third dauber and ink color.

At this point, the cats were 'masked' using some scraps of post it notes.  Once all
of the masks were in place, I daubed black ink on the frame.

Before stamping, careful and quickly remove the scaps of post it notes.
You can see in the image below, that only the frame has ink on it.

Here's what it looks like with all Post-It's removed.

Stamp the image.

Here is your finished image - pretty cool, right?

Now, all you have to do is finish your card!  Voila!

Last, here is a close-up of the stamped image....

We hope that you will give this a try! Come back and let us know if you do - we'd love to see your finished projects!!!

The Cutting Cafe - Fun With Silhouettes

Hello!
I'm back today with another creation for The Cutting Cafe
I hope you will pop over and look at all of the wonderful things Regina Easter has in the store, then, hop on over to the Cutting Cafe Blog  tomorrow where you will see all of the Design Team's inspiration.  Leave a comment for a chance to win! This week, we were to use some fun Silhouette images.  I actually made two cards.
Here is a card that I created, using the Fun with Silhouettes set.  The sentiment was computer generated, and the image printed directly above the sentiment. It's difficult to see, but there are blue gemstones on each of the hearts on the tree, and the birds are painted with Glossy Accents.  Final embellishment was a blue bow on the tree trunk.
This next card uses a background, made with the Birthday Word Block.

I chose to work with the darling ladybug.  As you can see more clearly in the photo below, I printed the image twice. The second image was fussy cut, just around the ladybug's body. I then took the Washi Tape that I used on the bottom of the card, and crossed it over the ladybug's body. An eye was added with a white gel pen, and two teensy heart gems were adhered to the antennae. The finishing touch was to print the background in black and white, and pop up the 'birthday wishes' to stand out a bit.

Be sure to stop by the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of every month. Our design team will have lots of inspiration to share with you, and if you leave a comment, you'll be entered into a drawing to win 3 FREE sets of your choice from The Cutting Cafe Online store!

Inspiration Palette Challenge at 'The House'...

Hello!
So glad you stopped by today!

It's time for a new Inspiration Palette challenge at The House that Stamps Built!

Here is the photo that we were given for inspiration - isn't it beautiful?
I just want to put me feet in that water, and enjoy the feeling...

When I looked at this photo, I was drawn to the beautiful colors, and of course, that red starfish!
So here is what I made today, using this Repeat Impressions Stamp:

This Quartet Image was stamped with Broken China Distress Oxide Ink - the coverage is luscious!
I couldn't get the right color of red, so I mixed a few Spectrum Noir markers for the mat and starfish.

Now, it's your turn!
Come on over and join us in our Inspiration Palette Challenge!  If I
can do it, you can do it!!!

Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!
I can't wait to see your beautiful cards using this photo!!!

I used the left row: Polkadots, Sweet Treats, and Hot Pink

9007-E Sweet Things

Did you know that I love all things Polka Dots?  Yep!
And hot pink?  Yep!
AND...I love, love, love Ice Cream!

So, this card was meant to be, right?

Here's what I made, using the above RI products:

I'll be that at least one of you is in the process of getting up to go to your freezer for a sweet treat!
It's summer...go for it!

Now it’s your turn! Create a card using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Scor-Pal July Challenge - Use Die Cuts

Hello, everyone!

I'm here today with another fun project, for the Scor-Pal Design Team!

Each month, we have a new challenge up on the Scor-Pal blog
July's challenge is to use your die cuts, and of course, you must include more than one fold.

We hope that you will decide to join us!  Show us your cards or other projects that
you've designed using your choice of die cuts, and more than one fold...you could win the monthly prize!

I used a pretty new die cut that I just received this week to make this tissue box cover.
Normally, my tissue covers have a lid on the outside, but I wanted to use this die,
and it was taller than a lid would accomodate.  I'll be back mid-month, and show
you how I constructed this box.

Here's what I made, using my Scor-Pal and Scor-Tapes:

Be sure to link up your project on our challenge this month!

I'll be back mid-month with a challenge reminder, along with measurements and instructions
for creating this gatefold card.

I love creating with Scor-Tape and my Scor-Pal Eighths!!!!  With all of the fun and amazing products
that have come and gone during the many years I've been paper crafting, my Scor-Pal products
are something I reach for with nearly every project.  I'm really enjoying this board,
with the scoring grooves at every eighth inch.  It made this gatefold card so easy, and the
front of the card met in the middle absolutely perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend,

Patti J.
