Adventure

It's adventure day here today! Let's take a look...

I used a piece of designer paper, a strip of Washi Tape, and one simple sentiment, Adventure, from
the new release at Technique Junkies.

I stamped Adventure onto the designer paper panel, adhered the Washi Tape to the panel, and
mounted it onto a piece of yellow cardstock. I also stamped the sentiment onto the envelope.

You do You

Hi ya!

I was feeling a bit 'crabby' today, and thought I'd share a fun little crabby card.

The new backround stamp, Crazy Crabs, from Technique Junkies, was stamped in blue ink onto a white card base. It was stamped a second time, so that I could fussy cut one of the crabs.
Once fussy cut, I colored him (her?) in red, and added a fun set of sunglasses.

I used one of the sentiments from Good Vibes, to create a fun sign for this fun crab to be holding. I popped him up with some foam dots, and adhered him to the card panel.

Wishing you a 'crabby' day with lots of smiles!

Swirly Snails

It's Swirly Snails day here on my blog today!

This is a fun background stamp in the new release at Technique Junkies this month.

I created two cards to show how versatile a background stamp can be!

For the first card, I used the stamp as intended - a background. The Swirly Snails, were stamped onto red cardstock with Versamark, and heat embossed with black powder. The sentiment is from the last release, Good Vibes - this is a great set, with 8 fun sentiments. The sentiment was stamped, heat embossed, and matted with black. It was adhered over the 2 bottom left snails on the background stamp.

The next card was a bit outside the box!  I die cut this fun frame in a pretty, happy pink cardstock.
I stamped just one line of snails for the top row, then using the Four Little Sentiments set, I stamped four 'Hello's, and cut them to line up and fit in the bottom three squares. I loved this fun designer paper, and felt it made a great background panel for the card. Hope you like it!!!

Have a great weekend! I'll see you again on Sunday, with a bit of a 'crabby' card!!!

Expensive shopping cart!

Good morning, friends!

Here's a really fun card, one that we can probably all relate to!
I was so excited to see this fun sentiment, Costco Shopping Cart, in the new release at Technique Junkies! I can't count the number of times I've ridden along with a friend or family member to a Costco store, and spent at least too much money.

I didn't have a shopping cart die, but I did have an old basket die that I punched some wheels for, and it seemed to work okay.  I just found some cute designer papers, and fussy cut a flower arrangement, a 'stuffed' dinosaur, a big wrench, and an umbrella to fill the cart.

The sentiment doesn't show up too well on the designer paper I chose for the background, but it reads, "The most expensive vehicle to drive, by far, is the Costco shopping cart".

I know this one brought a smile!

Flamazing Day

 Hello out there!

I know, it's Monday, I should be a bit quieter.....Seriously, I hope that you had a good weekend. We did! We are getting ready for a visit from our CALIF kiddo, and his family! Our grandson's never visited here, we've always hopped a plane to CALIF - it's going to be fun having him (them) in MO for a week! Gotta love the energy of an 8 year old boy, right? We'll have a great time...water park, petting zoo, concert, fishing, and lots more!

So, today I have two cards to share, using stamps from the new release at Technique Junkies. A serious card, and a not-so-serious card! Hope you see something you like!

Remember that until the 23rd, you will automatically get a 15% discount on new releases. If you like love need this stamp, remember to also use my code, TJPatti10 to save 10% on your purchases.

First up, is this pretty card. The image, Tree of Life, was stamped onto some white cardstock, I cut a circle out of the center of the card, and matted the circle onto a die cut circle the same color as the card base. Next, I used the Crocodile stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, and some Ink Blending Brushes to create a 'spotlight' look. The sentiment is from an older (one of my favorite) sets, Four Little Sentiments. I love the Tree of Life Stamp - it's so pretty!

Next, is a fun card, using the new release stamps, Flamingo Flock, and Flamazing Day.
To begin, I used my Ink Blending Brushes, and created a background panel. Flamingo Flock was then stamped onto a pretty pink cardstock, and fussy cut. I used an orange glitter pen on their beaks, and began doing a bit of die cutting to create the scene. I think it turned out pretty cute - what do you think?

Have a wonderful day! I'll be back on Wednesday with a 'Costco' creation (bet I've piqued your curiosity now) that I think you'll enjoy!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Contemporary Inspiration

Hey there! Happy Satur-Yay!

I've got some more fun cards to share today. These four cards are true 5 minute creations, which we all need from time to time. Sometimes, I'm on my way out the door to church, and it hits me that I forgot to send a card to someone...these will be perfect for occasions like this!

The stamp set Contemporary Inspiration, is just one of the great new sets in the July release at Technique Junkies. If you like it, you can get it at 15% off until July 23rd. We all enjoy saving a dollar or three!

For each of these cards, I found some pretty patterned papers, cut them slightly smaller than an A2 card base, and stamped directly onto the patterned paper. Adhered the panel to a card base, and wow! That quickly I had 4 cards finished!!!

Hope to see YOUR creations on the Technique Junkies Fan Group Page soon!

Thanks for dropping by today - I love seeing you here!

Hugs and smiles,

Definition of Family

Hello, friends and family!

I have some fun cards to share today, from the Technique Junkies' July release.
For all seven cards, the sentiments are from a brand new set Definition of Family, set of 7
I hope you find one or two that brings a smile! I had fun working with them!

For this card, I started with a new release background stamp, Abstract Florals. This was stamped onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with a pink powder. Using Ink Blending Brushes, the panel was then blended with pink ink. The sentiment was stamped in black ink, then panel and sentiment were matted with a pretty designer paper.

Next up is Dad...once I had the sentiment inked up, I went searching for a cute image to color, and settled on this fun image from Stud Muffins. He was colored with Copics, and a card was quickly finished!

For dear Aunt, or 'Draunt' (lol...), I chose to use a fun older image, Tried Running.
The image was colored with Copics, sentiment was stamped onto card panel, and I wadded up some cling wrap and pounced onto the panel. I wish I'd masked off the Aunt, but alas, I didn't, so she's a bit purpley! (Is that a word?)

Next up is Uncle, or 'Funcle'! This image was also from the Stud Muffins set, and colored with Copic Markers.

The Funpa sentiment was stamped onto a white panel, and adhered to a black card base.
Next, I stamped Father and Son Fishing (an older set), and colored the image with Copics.
Last step was to cut a black frame to place around the image. Done!

For Grandma, the image and sentiment were stamped onto a white card panel, and the image, Morning Joe, was then colored with Copic markers.  Using an Ink Blending Brush, a Damask stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, and some pink ink, Grammy had a background! Isn't she too sweet?

Last, but never least, is Mom. This image, Coffee Girl was stamped, colored with Copic markers. I had to add some Glossy Accents to her glasses, earrings, and lips! The image was bordered, and mounted onto a panel of designer paper. The sentiment was stamped below her. This panel was then adhered to a blue card base.

Hopefully, you enjoyed these cards - I had a lot of fun looking through my Technique Junkies stamps to create them!

Don't forget that you can save 15% until July 23rd!

Thanks for dropping by,
Patti J.

Happy July Release Day!

Today, I am sharing some brand new stamps from Technique Junkies

This release was so much fun to work with. I can't wait for you to see the new stamps!

they will be discounted at checkout!

Here is the Gotta Have It All Bundle - you can get ALL the stamps, and save over $30!

My first card is definitely a CAS (clean and simple) creation. I cut a lovely panel of designer paper, and stamped this incredible sentiment, It's Okay, in purple ink. The panel was adhered to a navy blue card base, and voila! Sheer perfection, right? FIVE minutes start to finish! Gotta love easy - I'll share some more easy creations in a few days - be sure to check back!

Next up... a white panel was stamped in red, using an older background, Painted Background and adhered to a black card base. The sentiment, from the new release, Life on Fire, was stamped first in black ink, then moved a teensy bit, and stamped again it red, for a shadowed look. The sentiment was matted with black, and adhered to the card panel. Another quick card!

Hope you've enjoyed my little show and tell of easily created cards!
