Just Beautiful

Hi Ya'll!

I'm here to share 3 fun cards with you today!  I hope you enjoy this new stamp as much as I have! These card feature the new release stamp SD1138 Just Beautiful.

Here are my cards:

This card was made by ink blending 3 colors of ink with an Ink Blending Brush. The stamping was done with a gray ink, and then A Colorful Life Designs Stencil '6 Square Shadow Stencil' was lightly blended over top for some fun. I spritzed some water onto the panel, and called it done.

For this card, I made a background with shaving cream and food coloring. The stamping was done in black ink, and the focal panel adhered to a card base. Ta-da!

Last, but not lease, this time, I stamped onto a piece of patterned paper. This panel was matted and adhered to a stenciled panel. For the stenciling, I used A Colorful Life Designs Heart Fade Stencil

I'm pretty happy with these. They're fun - gotta love the great sentiment, and line art ladies!

Leopard

Hello creative friends!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have 5 cards to share today, using a fun new release stamp set, #SS135 Leopard, from Technique Junkies

Here's my first card:

The image and sentiments were stamped onto white cardstock with a cinnamon colored ink, and the panel was adhered to a matching card base. Easy, sassy, and fun!

So, sometimes, I feel like growling at something someone. I'm pretty sure you 'get it'.
Here is the perfect card for those growly days. Stamped exactly as the card above, but an Ink Blending Brush was used to change the appearance a bit, and used another fun sentiment from the August release, #SDX189 Patience Tested. Totally fun card, right?

But wait! There's more!  Look at how CUTE and sassy this is when different colors are used!

And what fun is this? Except for the fact that I know that the sentiment was going elsewhere, but 'dropped and stuck' where it landed...so that's where it stays!  This sweet little gal is from the set #SD859 You've Got This

But my favorite is this one!  I. Can't. Even. My sweet mother would have LOVED to be the owner of a red and green leopard print sweater for the holidays! I can only imagine the fun bling that she would use to accompany her non-boring (but oh, so gaudy) sweater!!!

The sentiment at the top of the card comes with the Leopard set. The two at the bottom of the card are from #SS01b Simple Sentiments Set 1, Style b.

What a fun release to work with!

These were all fun to create, and I've so enjoyed this release!

So glad you stopped by today!

Decaf Coffee

Hello!

I have 2 fun cards to share today!

Here's my first card:

This card features #SD973 Decaf Coffee, and #S889 Coffee Stain. The image and sentiment were stamped onto vellum. The image was colored, and both were adhered to the Coffee Stain background prior to adhering to card base.

For my second card, I used the same stamp set, but stenciled around the colored image using an Ink Blending Brush, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, and A Colorful Life Designs Messy Diamond Grid Stancil. I just trimmed a bit off of each side, and created a 'window' effect by gluing them back down on each side of the focal image.

Autumn Floral Mandala

Hello!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today, that make me smile. I love fall, and the first one makes me think of fall colors. I also love a bit of snark, so the second one made me happy too!
Both cards use the new release stamp #S911 Autumn Floral Mandala.

The first card is colored in fall tones with Copic markers. The sentiment is from a new release set #SS135 Leopard.

This card was made using a smooshed background. I spread some Distress Oxide Inks onto a mat, and spritzed with water, placing the focal panel and sentiment into the smooshed puddles until I got the desired colors.  The sentiment is a new release #SDX189 Patience Tested.

Lighthouse on Cliff

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have 2 cards to share today, using a beautiful new release stamp, #S939 Lighthouse on Cliff, from Technique Junkies

Here's my first card:

This card front was made by stamping the image #S939 Lighthouse on Cliff, and sentiment #SS136 Lighthouse Sentiments with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke ink. Using the same ink, an Ink Blending Brush, and A Colorful Life Designs Cloud Edger Stencil, some gray clouds were added.

Moving on to card two:

Isn't this stunning? The image #S939 Lighthouse on Cliff, and sentiment #SDX063 Better Things were stamped onto a piece of beautiful patterned paper with Memento black ink.

Folks, it doesn't get much easier, or much prettier than these two cards!
I'm loving this August release!

Summer

Hello! So glad you stopped by today!

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built! Our challenge for this week is to use a 'Summer' theme on our cards.

What a fun theme! However, it's sad knowing that summer is nearly at an end. I dread the onset of COLD, ice, and snow!

Here's what I created for this challenge:

I used these Repeat Impressions' stamps:

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!

It's my turn to share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps Built

My MoJo is on a vacation, apparently. So, today, I chose to feature a very quick and easy card tip.

The Repeat Impressions Stamp that I used for this card is:

To begin, I folded a white card base, added some background paper, and stamped a sentiment on a scrap piece of the background paper.

Next, I found a punch that I liked, and punched the sentiment out, first from the patterned paper, then from white cardstock to match the card base.  The white punch was cut in half, and adhered to the top and bottom of the sentiment.

Last, a scrap of ribbon was placed on the card front, and the sentiment was adhered using some dimensional foam.

Sort of a sneaky way to only have one punch!

Grab those RI stamps and give this a try!
For this week only (August 16 - August 22nd), get 20% off the stamps used in my creation above when you use the coupon code POTW81621.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Like a Camera

Howdy!

I have a clean and simple, fun card, to share today, using #SD657 Like a Camera, and #S909 Flowing Zen. These were such a fun stamps to work with!

Here's my card:

Is this fun, or what? The focal image was stamped, and colored with Copics. Then it was masked off with a couple of post its, and the background was stamped with Kitch Flamingo Distress Ink. The finished panel was adhered to a pink card base. The finishing touch was Glossy accents on her eyeglasses. Cuteness, and what a wonderful message!

Hello! Happy to see you here today!

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built! Our challenge for this week is to make 'Anything But a Card'.

What a great idea! I was able to dig into my stash, and come up with this 'sweet' box!

I found this cute template here at Heidi Smith's site - had to give it a try!

I used these Repeat Impressions' stamps:

Black and White Swirl

Hello!

Here are 3 fun cards!

I used a fun, new release stamp #S504 Black and White Swirl, to create each of these. Two are stamped with black ink, and one with Versamark, which was embossed with silver powder.

Gotta love a beautiful stamp like this one!

The first card is portrait mode, and stamped in black ink. The sentiment is from #SS02b Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b.

The sentiment for this landscape style card is also from #SS02b Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b. This card was stamped with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with silver powder.

For the last card, I stayed with landscape design, but stamped again with black ink.

That's it! Easy as can be!

So glad you stopped by today!

Stack of Books

Hello!

I was in need of a gift for a friend at church, so today I have a clean and simple set of cards to share! My friend is an avid reader, and mails out LOTS of cards, so I hope she's pleased with these.

I used #SD984 Stack of Books, and #SS054 Bookworms to create these cards.

I'm not going to rattle on and on about these. All six were colored with Copics, distressed a bit with an Ink Blending Brush, matted and mounted onto a card base.

Here's my cards:

That's it! Easy as can be!

Relax, Calm, Renew...

Hello!
It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog.

Great news! There's still time to save money on the new release stamps at Technique Junkies! We have some awesome new stamps for you, and all of them are 15% off through August 8th! No codes are needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Here is the Gotta Have it All Bundle, and a little preview of the new stamps:

This stamp is wonderful. It says exactly what we all need to hear, and DO for ourselves now and then. We simply don't take time to just relax, calm, and renew ourselves!

So, for this card, I took a piece of watercolor cardstock, and spritzed it with Dolphin Cove, Chestnut Mare, and Dazzle Shimmering Bliss. This panel was set aside to dry, prior to adhering it directly onto the card base. While it dried, I stamped the image/sentiment #SD1139 Relax Your Body, onto a scrap piece of white cardstock, colored the hammock with Copic markers, and spritzed lightly with the Shimmering Bliss. Once dry, this piece was matted with the same color as the card base, and popped up with dimensional foam.

Next up, is another super easy, beautiful card.

It's a bit hard to see, but the background uses #S417 Cotton Lawn, stamped in blue ink. The image/sentiment #SD1139 Relax Your Body, was then stamped with blue ink onto the Cotton Lawn panel. I used my stamp positioner, and stamped repeatedly, so the focal image would be darker than the background.

So....which do you like best?

I am excited for you to see the rest of this release!
