Wildflower Border

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share two cards that I created, with some April release stamps.

The 'SD1098 Wildflower Borderstamp, and the A Colorful Life Designs 'Damask' stencil were featured on both of these cards. Hopefully, you will enjoy seeing how different each one looks, just by changing up colors and techniques a bit.

For the first card, the image was stamped and colored in Copic markers. I made a mask of the image, masked it, and did the stenciling in yellow and green Distress Oxide Inks, using an ink blending brush. The sentiment from 'SS134 In the Garden' was then stamped with black ink.

The next card was super simple.  I masked and ink blended a portion in the center of my focal panel, prior to stenciling again with the 'Damask' stencil in pink and orchid Distress Oxide Inks. The image, 'SD1098 Wildflower Border' and sentiment 'SS134 In the Garden' were then stamped with black ink.

Wildflowers Silhouette

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share two cards that I created, with some new April release products.

What better way to start out, than by using a classic black and white theme? The white heat embossed image is so vibrant on the black background!

This next card began with a background panel. The 6 Square Shadow Stencil, some Distress Oxide Inks, and blending brushes were used to create a pretty panel, which was then lightly spritzed with Shimmering Bliss 'Dolphin Cove'. Once the panel was ready, the image S889 Wildflowers Silhouette, and the image 'SS134 In the Garden were stamped onto the panel with black Versafine ink. The focal panel was adhered to a black card base.

Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps Built

Hi everyone!

It's my turn to share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps Built

Today, I chose to feature a very quick and easy card style.

The Repeat Impressions Stamps that I used for this card are:

I'm one of these folks that have always thought that every image needs to be colored to be pretty, and make a statement. Recently, I began trying some other ideas that eliminated coloring. Here is one idea that makes a 10 minute card every time!

So, dig out three colors of cardstock that you like, and cut them into strips the width of your card front. I used some repositionable tape to hold these panels in place for stamping. Also, choose either a large background stamp, or stamps to 'fill' your three panels.

Next, after positioning your panels, stamp your image.

After stamping, take each panel, and adhere it to your card front.

You can stop there, or continue on with a sentiment - here's what I did...
I cut a very thin strip of the blue cardstock used for the center panel, and created a vertical line across my card front. I then chose a sentiment, stamped it in Versamark on black cardstock, and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment was adhered with pop dots to the blue strip. It looked too plain, so I added a couple of teensy white hearts that a friend had given me.

Grab those RI stamps and give this a try!
For this week only (April 12 - April 18th), get 20% off the stamps used in my creation above when you use the coupon code POTW41221.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

You are the World

Hi there!

Edited!  I liked this one so much that I created a yellow one today!

I have a pretty card to share today, featuring an older Technique Junkies stamp set #SS071 'You are the World', Set of 3. It's almost Mother's Day, and this seemed a perfect card to share!

This was so easy to create. The image was stamped in the center of the focal panel, and a flower was stamped on either side. A Colorful Life Designs Stencil 'Damask', was ink blended around the edges with Kitsch Flamingo Ink. The flowers were colored with Copics, and glossy accents was scribbled onto the flowers. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base.

Here's the yellow card - you can see the glossy's on this one!

Hope you like it!

So glad you stopped by today,

Garden Tools

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog.  I have two cards to share today, just in time for the planting season! Things are beginning to pop out of the ground and bloom, here in Southeast Missouri. What fun this stamp was to create with!

For the first card, the background was spritzed with Chestnut Mare Shimmering Bliss, over top of 'Brick Wall', A Colorful Life Stencil'. I adhered the brick panel to a card base, and set it aside to dry. Next, S902 'Garden Tools' was stamped onto white cardstock, colored with Copics, distressed with Ink Blending Brushes and a variety of Distress Oxide Inks, and a circle was cut out of the panel. One of the garden tools, and the hose were also fussy cut from what was left over after the circle was die cut. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of cardstock, the same as the base color, and was spritzed with Chestnut Mare Shimmering Bliss. The circle, tools, and sentiment were then adhered to the card base. This will be fun to send to a gardener that we know!

Next up is another card made with S902 'Garden Tools'. The image was stamped, colored with Copics, and the background was added with A Colorful Life Designs Stencil 'Grunge Dots'. The panel was then distressed with Distress Oxide Ink and Ink Blending Brushes

The sentiment on the inside is from SS134 'In the Garden'.
Here is the inside of the second card:

I am SO enjoying this April release, and hoping that you like it, too!

 Hi there, crafty friends!

It's time for another Repeat Impressions Stamps challenge at The House that Stamps Built. It's a Designer's Choice Challenge, and it's my day to hostess. Since today is the 48th Anniversary of being married to my best friend, I thought it was fitting to create an  'Anniversary Card'.

Here's what I made using these
Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Stamped, colored with Copic Markers and a silver gel pen, and adhered focal panel to blue card base....
So easy, and what fun to make!

This was a fun challenge, and I hope you'll all join in!

Technique Junkies April New Release Blog Hop

It's April 1st - Release day at Technique Junkies! We have some awesome new stamps for you! All of the April Stamps are 15% off through April 8th, too! No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout. Here is the Gotta Have it all Bundle, and a little preview of the new stamps:

This card features SDX188 'Big'.  I made the background by masking off each area one at a time, and blending some pretty colors with the Ink Blending Brushes. A couple of die cuts were added, and to finish the card, I ink blended a circle, stamped the sentiment, and popped it up with some dimensional foam. The focal panel was adhered to a black card base.

The second card today, uses both the SDX188 'Big', and S905 'Baseball in Motion'.
I stamped the image with red ink, then used just the upper left corner of the image to stamp some gray dots here and there on the focal panel. The sentiment was stamped in black ink, and some faux stitching finished the panel, which was then adhered to a red card base.

I'm a huge Cardinal's fan, so this had to be red!  However, I can see it in a pretty royal blue, black and gold.....possibilities are endless - can't wait to see your creations!

I hope you like this beautiful new release! Great stuff is yet to come this month!
Be sure to check out the list below for some sweet inspiration from our Design Team!
