Going to be fine...

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share a card using three of the June release stamps, 'Coral Sea Turtle', 'Inside Out: Silence is Golden', and 'Bubble Flow'.

The image was stamped onto the focal panel, and colored with copic markers. A 'mask' was stamped and fussy cut out of masking paper. The focal image was masked off, and 'Bubble Flow' was stamped over the panel. A white gel pen, some designer papers, and a couple of burlap scraps finished this beautiful card off nicely!

I am SO enjoying this June release. Can't imagine what July will hold!!!

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

This was so easy to create! Hope you will give it a try!

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!  You will use them over and over!!!

You are Mermazing!

Hello out there!

It's Tuesday...already!  The weeks sure seem to fly by, even being in quarantine mode. My mom always said the older I got, the faster time would fly by. She was right, it seems!

I have a pretty Technique Junkies card to share with you today using one of the wonderful June release stamp sets, 'Oceans of Love'.

This set is 'Mermazing'!  It has 4 Images, and 5 sentiments, and is fun to create with. If you're wanting a fun summer set, this is the one to get!

Here's my card:

Isn't she the sweetest mermaid ever?  To create this card, I blended ink onto a white panel, using some blending brushes. Then, I stenciled using A Colorful Life 'Grunge Dots' Stencil, using a few shades of blue and green. The mermaid was stamped onto some white cardstock, and colored with Copic Markers and a white gel pen. She was then die cut with a rectangle die, using an 'outside the box' technique before matting with pink cardstock. Her white background was dotted with Copics. The sentiment was stamped, matted on pink, and dotted. It needed a little something else, thus the two 'flag' ends. I adhered a length of blue sparkly tulle behind the focal panel, prior to mounting it with dimensional foam. Same with sentiment. Voila! Panel was attached to pink card base, and a darling card was finished!  Hope you like her!

Be sure to check out the Technique Junkies store to see all of the latest releases, and if you shop, please use my discount code to get 10% off of any purchase any time!

Thanks for stopping by today - Hope you like the card - I'm going to enter it in the Summer Challenge on the Technique Junkies FaceBook page. The theme is Floral, Fauna, People, and Food. Hoping she works as 'people'!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Pic of the Week...by me!

Hi everyone!
It's my turn to share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps BuiltThe Repeat Impressions Stampthat I picked to showcase are:

Here's what I made:

Some of you have said that you like my fun fold tutorials, so here you go! This is a fun version of an easel card, step card, etc. Lots of fun to create, and it folds flat into an A2 envelope for mailing.

Let's get started!

Decide first which images you want to work with, as you can create this card in either landscape or portrait mode. Color and either fussy cut, or panel cut your images - your choice! Mine are fussy cut. Set these aside until the end.

Cut cardstock 5.5" x 8.5" and score at 4.25" to form card base.

Measure over 1.5" from each side, and cut just up to the fold line.

This is what it will look like. Score the center section in half (2 1/8")

Cut a piece of patterned paper for the center section of your card, and adhere it. Be careful to allow if you are using a patterned paper. You want the pattern running the right direction. After you have adhered the patterned paper, carefully adhere both long flaps to the card base. In the photo below, you will see that I have them taped, and ready to simply fold forward onto the base.

Now your card looks like this!  Add some patterned paper pieces to the side flaps - mine measured 1.25" x 4", and a piece of patterned paper to the 'easel' piece. Mine measured 2.25" wide x 2" tall.
Add 'something' to the card base using dimensional foam, to hold your easel upright.

Last, add your images!  I colored my images with Copic Markers, and glossed them up a bit with some glossy accents to the cherries and sprinkles.  Hmmm....now I am craving a cupcake.

And here is a side view:

For this week only (June 22-June 28, 2020), get 20% off the three stamps used in my creation above when you use the coupon code POTW62220.

Hugs and blessings,

Take the Scenic Route...

Hello out there!

It's Fri-yay again...already!

I have two Technique Junkies cards to share with you today using two of the wonderful June release stamp sets, 'Scenic Route', and 'Tire Track'.

This first card was SO fast, and SO fun to make! I printed off a map of Missouri onto some white cardstock. At the top of the panel, I stamped the 'Scenic Route' with Black VersaFine Ink. Then, I highlighted the town where we live, and added a red glitter heart. I randomly stamped 'Tire Track' over the panel 5 times, adhered the panel to a red mat, then a black card base.

For this card, I cut a white panel, and used rainbow ink colors to stamp 'Tire Track' over the panel.
I stamped the 'Scenic Route' onto a scrap of white, and used just the ends of the 'Tire Track' to stamp each side of the sentiment. This was trimmed up, matted, and adhered to focal panel. The focal panel was matted and adhered to the card base. Easy to make, and ever so quick!

Be sure to check out the Technique Junkies store to see all of the latest releases, and if you shop, please use my discount code to get 10% off of any purchase any time! And this is in addition to the 15% off!

Thanks for stopping by today - Hope you like the cards!

Beach Answer...

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share two cards using one of the fabulous June release stamps, 'Beach Answer'.

For this first card, I stamped 'Beach Answer' on a scrap of white cardstock, with Memento Ink, and Colored the image with Copic Markers.  I set the image aside for later. On a white focal panel, I used a light blue ink, and Ink Blending Brushes, and stenciled 'A Colorful Life Stencil, Grunge Dots'. The image was then stamped onto the stenciled panel, and the panel was mounted onto the card base. The image and sun was fussy cut from the first panel, and adhered onto the stamped image. The last step was to die cut the small frame, and adhere it over the focal scene.

For this card, a 'frame' was die cut from white cardstock, and set aside. The middle of the frame then became the focal panel. The image was stamped onto this panel, and colored using Copic Markers. I attached a wide double sided tape to the top side of the frame, and carefully pressed on a layer of 'Morning Blush' Aurora Flakes'. The frame was then adhered onto the card base, and the panel was mounted inside the frame.

Are you loving this June release? I sure am! These are all stamps I will use often.

Don't forget - You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!

I chose to work with: Masculine, Non-Standard Card Shape, Stitching.

Mirror Mirror...

Hello out there!

It's Fri-yay!

I have a fun Technique Junkies card to share with you today using one of the funny June stamp set 'Inside Out: Silence is Golden'.  The image is a stamp from an earlier release, 'The Happy Housewife'. Also used was 'A Colorful Life 6 x 9 Stencil', 'Faded Petals'.

The card is 5 x 7. I don't usually use that size, but I love the way it turned out! To start, the image was stamped on a white panel. I colored the face, legs, & nightgown with Copic Markers. The next step was to carefully stencil around the image using an Ink Blending Brush.

Next, I stamped the image again, onto a piece of polka dot designer paper, and fussy cut the curlers, housecoat, and slippers, and adhered them over top of the original image.

Hope you like these stamps as much as I do!  If you need a funny, but quick card, this is it!
Don't forget - you can still take advantage of the 15% off sale until June 8th, AND you can use my discount code below, as well!
