Repeat Impressions 'Anything Goes' Challenge

Good morning!

Well, the Rock Stars are back to work. Wendy, the Repeat Impressions owner,
graciously gave us THREE weeks off in December!

It's time for a new challenge at the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built, and we have a great challenge for you - Anything Goes. How easy is that?!?

And, here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

So far, we've had rain in measures of monsoons, but no snow. I'm sure that we will get our share
sometime in the next couple of months.  Anyway, I just had to work with a snowy, winter image.
These penguins make me smile, and they are having such a good time!

Now it’s your turn! Create a card using the provided theme, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my fellow Rock Stars have created!

Happy Hopping!
Hope you link up a card this week!

Crafter's Companion Sweet Love

Hi there!

I hope that your Christmas was delightful!  Ours was quiet and relaxing. Now we are contemplating the building of a really big houseboat, as the rain just keeps coming and coming. If Mother Nature would send a bit of sunshine, I'd be ever so grateful!

I'm excited to share a sweet card that I made using Crafter's Companion products.

Here's what I made:

Just look at all of that pretty sparkle from the Sparkle markers!

Here are the supplies that I used:

Bebunni Floral Collection CD (Coordinating Papers) This CD has SO many fun elements to create with!!!
Shimmering Card Stock - Rose Pearl, Candy Red

Blogger changes...

Hello friends,

I recently noticed a drop of several friends all at once.  I spent some time trying to
figure out if I had posted something offensive, or if it was just a coincidence
that 10 people stopped following on the same day.  Anyway....if you are in the same
boat, OR if you follow some of your favorite blogs via yahoo, etc., here
is what I found out:

Apparently, everyone will be required to have a Google account to follow Google (Blogger) blogs. They are using the date of January 11, but several other Blogger friends have reported a large drop in numbers as well.  Please read the message below - it's an easy fix; but will require
that everyone has a google account.

Posted: December 21, 2015

In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other Open Id providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

I am sorry if this causes any of my followers issues; but I hope you will be willing to create a Google account; so that you can continue to follow anyone who has a blog with blogger.  You will need to create a Google account and become a follower again; as they will remove all the followers who do not have Google accounts. I don't know about other blogs, but you can also subscribe to my blog via email, or use Bloglovin', if you do not wish to create a Google account.

I appreciate all of my followers and hope to see all of you still on my followers list next year.

Thank you for taking time to read this information.

Thanks for stopping by,

Hello....and Goodbye!

Hello... and Goodbye!

Today is my last post as DT member for Great Impressions Stamps.
I was blessed to be a part of this group for a full year and will miss working with my team mates.  Deone, the owner, and Mynn, the DT Coordinator have
made this year such a pleasure.

I can't wait to see what the new team members create!

This week has been a break week, and we are sharing our favorite GI creations.

Here is my favorite!

You know....'that moment' when you finish a card, and you're really REALLY loving it?
I had 'that moment' with this card.  I loved creating this card with these wonderful Great Impressions stamps:

Squeeeee....is he not the ca-utest snowman ever?

Wish you could see the sparkle. I used a clear Wink of Stella Brush on all of the snowbanks, lights, bird wing, branches, hat and scarf.

I loved this one so much that it went to our daughter who loves snowmen!

Keep on entering your cards in the Great Impressions Challenges, I'll see you there!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Let There be Laughter

Happy Tuesday!

I hope your week is going well, and that you will soon be surrounded by family and friends for the Christmas holidays.  It will be quiet here, but we're hoping for some 'Face Time'
on Christmas day.  Our granddaughter is going to be so excited that day! She will
be two in February, so she is at the perfect age for ripping those packages open, and
probably playing with the empty boxes!!!

I have an altered frame to share today using some great products from Crafter's Companion!

I just had to use some more of this cardstock.  I love working with it. Wish I could afford every piece they carry!  It's beautiful, it's very heavy weight, and this particular pack is 11" x 17", which will work perfectly for making boxes!

Today, I've used these Crafter's Companion products:

I used an old broach in the center of the doily - maybe you can click to enlarge!
Hope that you like this project...
I'll be back next week with another fun creation for Crafter's Companion.

Just to Say Hello

Good morning!
I hope your Thursday is going well, and that you have a fun weekend planned.

We have live Nativity tonight and tomorrow night at our church - you might
know that it's finally decided to get cold!

I have a pretty card to share today using some awesome products from Crafter's Companion!

This is the first time I've used their designer cardstock, and I am blown away at the quality!
It's beautiful, it's very heavy weight, and this particular pack is 11" x 17", which will work perfectly for making boxes!

Today, I've used these Crafter's Companion products:

Shimmering Cardstock - Pearl White (currently out of stock)

If you click to enlarge, you can hopefully see the pretty glittery sparkle from the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens!  They are so smooth, and easy to work with.

Hope that you liked this card!

Peace, Love, Joy

Happy Saturday!

You know....'that moment' when you finish a card, and you're really REALLY loving it?
And then, you try for 30 minutes to take a photo, and just can't get one that you like? Yep,
it was one of those days. I love working with metallic card stock, but it's nearly impossible to
get a good photo.  Here's what I made using these Great Impressions stamps:

I should add that the sentiment is really very pretty in real life.
I used an embossing powder that is a 'snowy, glittery' white, and again,
the photo just doesn't do it justice.

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challengeand if you use Great Impressions stamps be sure to link them up in our Customer Gallery!

From Me to You

Good morning!
Happy Thursday to you all.

I have a fun ornament to share today using some awesome products from Crafter's Companion!

This is my first attempt with Spectrum Noir Markers. I think it turned out just fine!

Since my stash is still pretty small, and this image has the gift, and fun sentiment, I decided that Florence needed to be a part of today's creation again!

Today, I've used these Crafter's Companion products:

Hope that you like this fun ornament!
I'll be back next week with another fun creation for Crafter's Companion.

Repeat Impressions Project of the Week...Lip Balm Holder

Hi there!

Christmas is just around the corner, and we always need a last minute inexpensive, but thoughtful gift for friends, neighbors, Sunday School members, etc.

My Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions is quick, easy, and adorable!

Let's get started - we are making a Lip Balm Holder...

Start with a 4 3/4" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock.
On the 4 3/4" side, score at 2" and 2 3/4".
On the 4 1/4" side, score at 3/4" and 3 1/2".
Burnish your fold lines with a bone folder.

On the 4 3/4" side, cut in to the fold lines to create 4 tabs, as shown below.
Add 2 sided adhesive tape, embellish front side as desired, and punch out a 'handle'.
For my card front, I've used Repeat Impressions 2107-H 'Noel', and heat
embossed it in silver.

Bring your flaps in together and adhere. Pull your box front and back up, and let the
remaining 'sticky' adhere the tabs and box together.  It will look like this.

Drop in your lip balm, and tie 'handle' closed. (I also colored my poinsettia)

Looking at this from the top down, here's what it should look like.

Give it a try!  If you do, stop by and let us know, so we can come see your beautiful creation!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs,
Patti J.
