Class Kits

 Happy Satur-yay!

Hoping that your Thanksgiving was filled with blessings, good health, and pumpkin pie!

I have a few cards to share this morning. These were included in a recent kit that my BFF and I sent out to about 25 people.  I haven't made Shirley's kit yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post her three cards, as well. In the meantime, here's what I prepped and created:

This first card was a problem child to photograph, as the gold metallic mat and deer just shined so brightly! Each kit contained everything but adhesive.

Again, all pieces were included in kit. This may have been my favorite. I used a digi image from Beccy's Place. If you've never shopped there, you should! She has some great pre-colored images to choose from. I'm going to enter this card in her November challenge: Holiday themed, and created in November.

Last is this cute fun fold card. Who can resist a cute snow-person?

That's it for me today!  Have a great weekend, and I'll be back on the 1st!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Smallest Bell...

Hi there!  Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at Technique Junkies!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share a beautiful card that I created, using some gorgeous November release products!

This card was another easy, clean and simple (CAS) card. To create this card, I used the new release Technique Junkies Jingle Bell Stencil, and 'SD1046 Joyful Jingle', from the October release. After cutting the panel to size, I placed the stencil over the panel, and applied Versamark Ink. I quickly sprinkled on some silver embossing powder, and used my heat gun to get this beautiful silver shine. To finish off this panel, I added a strip of Silver Washi Tape.  The sentiment was stamped onto the blue cardstock with Versamark Ink, and was heat embossed in silver, as well. This panel was then adhered to the focal panel.

Technique Junkies products make such beautiful cards!

This November release is amazing! So glad you stopped by today!

A bit of pretty designer paper, a bit of masking, and a pretty sentiment. It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Hope you like this sweet kitty!

We hope you will create a card that has a focus on today’s challenge, and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Visitor from Heaven

 Hi there!

I have a couple of pretty Technique Junkies cards to share today. The first card uses 'SD1051 Cardinal from Heaven' from the November Release.

The sentiment was stamped with black ink on white cardstock. Using the 'Cloud Edger' Stencil and Ink Blending Brushes, I added a few airy clouds. The image was die cut, as well as a red mat panel. I used a fun circle die with spikes, and just cut a couple of sections, which were adhered between the two panels. This panel was adhered to a piece of pretty patterned paper, and then to the card base. Easy peasy, and so pretty!

Next up is a pretty New Year's card.  To make this card, I cut one panel of black cardstock, and one panel of striped designer paper. Each of the panels was cut on the diagonal.  The Technique Junkies' 'Shining Star Stencil' was inked up with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. Isn't it SO pretty?

Technique Junkies stamps make such beautiful cards, and it's so exciting that they are carryng their own stencils now!

This November  release is amazing! So glad I could share it with you!  Don't forget that you will get 10% off any purchase by using my code, TJ10Patti.

Pic of the Week at The House That Stamps Built - Fun Fold Card!

 Hi everyone!

It's my turn to once again share a Pick of the Week at The House that Stamps BuiltThe Repeat Impressions Stampthat I picked to showcase are:

1919 G I Love You Beary
1015 L Polar Bear Kisses
2011 D Mistletoe

Here's what I made!  My dear hubby loves Polar Bears, so this will be his Christmas card this year (shhhhhh.......must swear you all to secrecy).

Everyone has probably been just like me - used this fold many times, but long ago, and long forgotten!  So here is a gentle refresher for those who HAVE made this design, and a tutorial for those who have not yet tried it!

Let's get started!

For the card base, you will need a piece of cardstock that is 8.5" x 5.'"
Score with the long edge at the top of your scoring board at 4.25".

Here is what your folded base looks like, so far.
Next, measure up 2.75", and make a tiny pencil mark.
Where the point of my bone folder is, you see a tiny black mark - that is my pencil mark.

Next, using scissors or your paper trimmer, cut from outside edge in to the score line. This is what your card base looks like opened up.

Adhere a piece of patterned paper to the inside panel of your card base. This should measure 4" x 5.25".

Next, close your front flap, and add a piece of coordinating patterned paper measuring 2.5" x 4".

Now, open your card back up, and adhere one or two panels for your message or additional stamping. As you can see, I used two panels, measuring 2.5" x 4".  I took a tiny strip of the plaid paper, and added it to the top edge of the page with the bells, just for a little break in the pattern.

Decide what you want to use for your focal panel, and create it. You can use a square, circle, oval, rectangle, or even a pretty die cut. I chose to use these three fun stamps, and make a sweet scene. Be sure when you adhere the panel to your card, that you only apply adhesive to the lower part of your panel, or you will glue your card shut!  (ask me how I know this...)

Here is a photo of what your finished card will look like on the inside after you adhere your focal panel.

Hope you like this - Give it a try!

For this week only (November 16 - November 22, 2020), get 20% off the three stamps used in my creation above when you use the coupon code POTW111620.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Advice from The Forest

  Hello!

It's my day to post here on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share three fun cards that I created, using some gorgeous November release stamps!

This first card front was stamped with a beautiful cinnamon colored ink, using 'S878 Woodland Wonders'. The panel was trimmed, and adhered to a card base. The sentiment 'SD1049 Advice from the Forest' was stamped on another piece of Kraft, trimmed, matted, and adhered to the card front panel. Ta-da, and Ta-done - clean and simple card!

The next card was also super easy. I cut a panel for the front of my card, and used the 'A Colorful Life 'Paws' Stencil', and some tan ink.  In the center of this panel, I stamped 'SD1049 Advice from the Forest' in brown ink, and cut it out of the center of the panel. The focal panel was matted and adhered to the background panel. Another quick card!

Last up was this clean and simple (CAS) card, created with the 'S878 Woodland Wonders', and a great sentiment set 'SS02b Simple Sentiments Set 2, Style b'. Image and sentiment were both stamped with brown ink, matted, and adhered to card base.

Technique Junkies stamps ink up beautifully, and make such nice cards!

This November release is amazing! So glad I could share it with you!

The House that Stamps Built - Tic-Tac-Toe

 Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

My choice was Sponging, Autumn Colors, and Leaves

Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

I had a tough time coloring the fruit on this image!  Lol...hope it looks ALMOST realistic!
I used Kraft cardstock, brown ink, and some pretty patterned papers. Coloring was done with Copic markers.

Now it’s your turn! Create something using the Tic-Tac-Toe board above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

Always Thankful

 Hi there!

I have a Technique Junkies card to share today, using lovely November release sentiment stamp, #SD1048, Always Thankful.  I love this sentiment - it speaks so true. No matter how bad your day is, something good always comes out of it.

To create this card, I used the 'A Colorful Life' 'Skeleton Leaf' Stencil, and sprayed the stencil onto a 5 x 7 card base with Technique Junkies 'Chestnut Mare' Shimmering Bliss. I then used the stencil and spray on a white card panel. The sentiment was stamped with brown ink on a white panel that was gently 'distressed' with an Ink Blending Brush. Once the panel was finished, I 'drug' it through the leftover spray, coating each edge. This card shimmers so nicely!

Technique Junkies stamps make such beautiful cards!

This November  release is amazing! So glad I could share it with you!  Remember, these release images are 15% off through November 8th (this will automatically be taken off at checkout).  AND, you may take an additional 10% off by using my code, TJ10Patti.
