Smell the Sea

Hello, friends!

It's closing in on July - Cold natured me is finally getting warm!

So today, I have a pretty, and CAS (clean and simple) card to share with you. This card showcases the Shell and Turtle Frame and Smell the Sea from the June release at Technique Junkies.

To create this card, I took my silicone craft sheet, and some blue distress oxide inks, and smooshed the inks onto the craft sheet. The next step was to spritz some water onto the inks, and smoosh the card down onto the white panel. I let this dry for a long while, placing it between some paper sheets, and heavy books (to be sure it dried flat). Once dry, I trimmed to the size I wanted, and stamped the image and sentiment with a fine black ink. The panel was matted with a very fine black mat and adhered to a card base.

This was another easy and quick card! I hope you will decide to make some of your own!

Sand Between Your Toes

Good morning!
Here's a pretty and SO quick and easy card!

To created this beauty, I stamped Sand, Saltwater, and Sun from the June release at Technique Junkies, in a fine black ink on a blue card base. I found a pretty scrap of 'water' designer paper, and die cut a frame, adhered it around the focal panel, and TA-DA! This was truly a 5 minute card!

Have a delightful day, and my wish for you today is sand between your toes!

Hugs,

Every Seashell has a Story

Hello friends!

I'm back with another pretty card today, featuring Beachcombers Borders and Seashell Sentiments, Set of 4, from the June release at Technique Junkies.

To create this card, I stamped the seashell borders onto a piece of cardstock, trimmed it off, and colored the images.

Once the coloring was done, I stenciled around the image & on the card base, with the Currents stencil from A Colorful Life Designs

The focal panel was matted onto black cardstock, and a couple of thin Washi Tape strips balanced out the image.

Last, I stamped the image again, but colored only one shell, cut it out, and popped it up on a foam dot.

Hope you are all enjoying the beach, and collecting lots of shells, each with a story!

Hippie Flower Border

Hey there!
It finally stopped raining here - hallelujah! I sure am ready for some sunshine.
The upside is that things in Missouri are blooming like crazy, and I do love my flowers.

I'm here to share some pretty flowers with you today, from the new release at Technique JunkiesTechnique Junkies. This fun stamp is called Hippie Flower Border, and was fun to color.

The sentiment is from another new set, Good Vibes. There are actually 8 great sentiments in this set. The clouds were stenciled on using the Cloud Edger Stencil from Cloud Edger Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.

Next, I again used the Border and sentiments, but simply heat embossed onto a deep teal piece of cardstock, using some Tim Holtz Speckled Egg Embossing Glaze, for a tone on tone effect. Wow! What a quick and easy card!

So happy to see you here today! Remember that you can save 10% shopping at Technique Junkies, by using my code: TJPatti10.

Take care, and Bloom Wildly!!!

Flip Flops

Hello crafty friends!
I'm here to share a couple of fun cards made with stamps from Technique Junkies' new release!

Raise your hands if you love your flip flops!
Yep, me too!

Well, today's post is all about those flip flops!

I have two cards to share today. Both cards showcase Flip Flops Background', and The Glass Slipper, both from the new June 2024 Technique Junkies release.

For my first card, I used an OLD ink pad - a Kaleidacolor pad.

Do you still have any of those ink pads?

I still own 8, and all are still inky!

Oops, I digressed! I stamped the background with the fun 'old' ink pad, trimmed the image, and matted it on hot pink. I added some tiny bling of different colors. I then stamped the sentiment with black ink, BUT....I stamped again, using the Kaleidacolor ink pad, and giving the sentiment a shadow with pops of color!

Isn't this a fun, happy card?
This was an easy one to create, and I can't wait to drop it in the mail.

Next, I took 4 strips of different colors of cardstock, and stamped the background with black ink. I trimmed the image and adhered it to a white card base. The next step was to add silver Stickles to each flip flop. Once the Stickles dried, the sentiment was stamped in black ink on white cardstock, and popped up with dimensional foam.

Another easy, quick, happy card! Now we just need the rain to go away, and the sun to stay out for a while, right?

Thanks for stopping by! Remember that if you purchase any of the new release by June 8th, they are 15% off!  For any new items purchased after June 8th, or anything not in the new release, feel free to use my code: TJPatti10 to save 10%!

Today, I really wanted to share the new stamp, Palm Tree Paradise. I think this one is so beautiful, and makes a very quick card.  Here's what I created using this new stamp:

The first card was stamped onto a green panel, using Catherine Pooler's Midnight Ink. The sentiment, Beauty in Simplicity, is also new this month - it is totally perfect for this image, don't you think?

Same card, stamped onto a Tahitian color of blue - so pretty!!!

I changed this card up a bit. First, I stamped the background in pale blue, with an older background stamp, Cotton Lawn. I then stamped the Palm Tree Paradise over top of the background, and trimmed a bit for an 'outside the box' effect. The sentiment is a new one, Sand, Saltwater, and Sun. I masked off the bottom half of the sentiment, inked up the top, removed the mask and stamped. Voila!!! This was all matted onto a pale gray cardstock.
