Little Things Make Life So Big...

Good morning!

Here's hoping that your Wednesday is off to a great start!

I've done a little bit of floor sealing, and a little bit of crafting, and a LOT of coffee drinking so far this morning.

Looks like we are going to be stormed on some time soon - darn, I won't have to water the tomato plants! (I hate it when THAT happens!)
* * * * *

Today's card features one of The Angel Company's new sets. A few weeks ago, when my back was 'out', my dear friend, Shirley gave this to me as a get well gift - it worked! I'm well!!!

I made it primarily with Flutterby Wednesday Challenge in mind. The gals have taken a summer break, and today is their first day back. Woot woot! They have been missed!!! Today's challenge is an open challenge - just include a butterfly, angel, or fairy on your project!

This card was very simple.

I simply stamped the three images with Versafine Brown Ink, then masked them off and sponged the 'stripe' with Tim Holtz' Weathered Wood Distress Ink.

No coloring. At all...

I really wanted to bling it up, but it needed to be CAS, so I took a deep breath and stopped!

I will also enter this here:

Cas-Tastic Challenge: Kraft-y Kreations
I've received a few emails asking me where my "food for thought" has gone! To be honest, it seems like I'm always posting in a hurry, and just don't think about it. I will try to be better! I like it when my peeps are smiling!
Food for thought:
Did you know...If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, that person died in battle. If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle. If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.
Now you know!!!
Have a great day!

TOPS!

Hello fellow stampers and treasured readers! Just thought I'd pop in with some updates, and tell you about my interesting evening last night...

First, the card above is made with a stamp that I received in the mail this week from a friend. Thank you dear friend - you know who you are! I am going to enter this sweet little winged beauty at Charisma Cardz, and Caardvarks, where the challenge is to make a monochromatic card. Hope I can squeak it in with time to spare, but I'm not too sure! I am also going to enter it at One Stop Craft Challenge, their challenge this week is "Things with Wings". Oh... and I almost forgot - look at that beautiful PERFECT bow! My friend Shirley gave me a bow easy for my birthday! Am I good or what? Thanks Shirley!

DH Update: DH's doc appt. went well on Friday. We got beautiful color photos for our family album (lol), and doc thinks he's doing quite well. We go back in four weeks for another check up. We are very pleased about that. I've been a bit worried as the bruising is so deep and ugly and goes from knee to almost the ankle. Guess the kids are right - I worry uneccesarily! (That's what I get paid all of these beautiful gray hairs for, right?)

Computer Update: Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Our guy is working hard at it, but is having a bit of difficulty getting the new motherboard to work in the old computer. I will keep you posted. May have to buy a new machine yet...

Cardinal Update: Ugh... Bottom of the 6th - down 9-7 to Diamondbacks. And I stay up until the wee hours for this??? Sigh... (bet Caryl's up watching the Yankees)

So...I was asked to do a workshop for some ladies that meet in a neighboring town. They have a TOPS club (Take off pounds sensibly), and just wanted a bit of variation in their meeting. I took three very easy projects, and had them very much ready to go. Pop dots were on, redline tape was on and ready to peel off, etc. Only one of the ladies has done any paper crafting, so they were very pleased with their pretty things! Here is what we did...

Martha Stewart paper pack from Wal-Mart - Stamp is Inkadinkado.

This is a magnetic book mark! One little strip of two sided paper, and two pieces of self stick magnet that I bought at Wal-mart as well. Two sheets of 5 x 8 per package!

Yum! More Martha Paper...

Well, hope that you found something here that made you smile or drool!

Take care - hope to see you tomorrow!
