A Sad Farewell.....

I was not sure how to put into words what needed to be said, so I've simply cut and pasted Adela's farewell here.

Adela is one of the kindest, and most talented people I've met through paper crafting,
blogging, and DT work. I've enjoyed watching her family grown up the past few
years, and have been so sad and prayerful, when she's been going through
such difficult health issues.

Adela, if you are reading, you've been a wonderful 'boss', friend, and business woman,
and I will greatly miss working with you.

Enjoy your family, and feel better soon!

To My Dear Fellow Crafters,

It's always difficult to say good-bye, but it is time. Many of you already know that I have been dealing with health issues which prevented me from designing and crafting. I miss my craft time so much! I discovered my passion for crafting when I was only seven years old and it immediately became my favorite hobby! Needless to say, my love for crafting will now take a back seat in my everyday life, but it's okay because I now have more time to spend with family. I'm very tankful for the blessings that God has given me and continue to give to me and my family.

Thank you friends, for allowing me to share my love for paper crafting with you. It's always so exciting when I find AR projects online that someone has shared. Thank you for your lovely words and for being such a big part of my life!

I will be closing shop on July 31st. Please take advantage of the 50% off all files in my shop.  If you have AR Points accumulated, use them before the 31st.  If you have any questions not covered in the FAQ section of my website, please email me directly at adela@creationsbyar.com

Thank You and Farewell My Friends!

Creations by AR Bottle of Cheer

Good morning...hope you are all staying warm!
The cold front is making it's way into our area already - brrrrrr.....!

I'm just popping in today to show you something incredibly fun that Adela from
Creations by AR has designed.  This great template is called
'Bottle of Cheer', and it would bring cheer to anyone receiving it!

My little 'Bottle of Cheer' was inspired by this gorgeous bottle of wine that
our son and beautiful daughter-in-law, brought us back from Paris,
where they honeymooned in September.

I loved the maroon wrapping over the cork, so my bottle is maroon.
Also catching my eye, was the pretty gold on the label, so my labels are matted with gold cardstock.

Both label shapes are included in the template!

This photo shows my 'Bottle of Cheer' in use as a test tube holder. The test tube is filled with Hugs and Kisses.

The next photo shows the bottle without the center insert.  The box
is filled with candy for a lucky recipient!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out Creations by AR for some
amazing templates to spark your creativity!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Blogaversary Celebration - Day One!

Oh, happy day!
It’s time for Cherish Each Precious Day’s Blogaversary celebration!
My beautiful blog badges are created from digitally modified Doodle Pantry files!
Be sure to check out their new release....this gorgeous pumpkin is in one of the new releases!

Here’s what’s being celebrated…

~I posted my first papercrafting item SIX years ago!
~It’s crazy to imagine, but the blog will also reach 1100 posts next week!
~It’s also been a great year –
~Our daughter and her husband blessed us with a first grandchild
~Our son married an amazing woman,
~I turned the big 6-0 in April, and everything still works!

I have met many wonderful people through this incredible love of all things paper.
When we travel, I always try to meet one of my crafty long-distance friends.
What fun it is to meet and create, or shop with someone that has previously been only an on-line face. It is incredible to me that each of you I come to know, are so genuine, generous, and full of love for fellow crafters.  I’ve seen card drives for illnesses or deaths, requests for prayers, financial requests, and I’ve been on the receiving end of many kindnesses, from prayers to birthday cards and RAK gifts coming in the mail.  And…I’m still in awe of the number of you that befriended our daughter during her husbands’ deployment. They still covet the many cards, gifts, and kindnesses that you showed, and I'll never forget you!

My friend Shirley is like a sister to me, and she's where 'it' all began for me!  Shirley was a demo for TAC, and had a local card class. I attended, and was hooked.  TAC closed its’ doors, but Shirley is now a demo for A Muse Studio, and the rest is history!
Thank you Shirley, for all I learned from you, but most important, for your friendship.

NOW...ON TO THE GIVEAWAY!

Some of you have been here since the very beginning.  Others have only been here a day or two.  I’m so humbled and amazed that I am so lucky. You are all wonderful, so this celebration is for you!

There will be SIX days in October, where we will celebrate with a giveaway.

What fun!  I love giveaways, especially when I’m the giver!!!

Just keep checking back – when we have a celebration day, leave a comment!
Each day, there will be a chance to enter twice, as well...read on!

At the end, there will be one post, listing all winners.

TODAY is DAY 1!
Creations by AR is sponsoring today’s giveaway!
Thank you to Creations by AR!
Adela, the owner and the brain behind the most incredible 3-D templates! Whether you have the best cutting machine available, or just a pair of trusty scissors, you can create beautiful 3-D items with her magical templates!  Here’s one of my favorite Creations by AR templates:

Creations by AR is generously giving a $20.00 gift card to one winner – it could be you, and just in time for the holidays!  How can you win?

1. leave a comment here on today’s blog post = 1 chance to win.
2. 'LIKE' the Creations by AR FB page, and leave a comment there, thanking Adela for offering up such a nice gift = 2 chances to win!

Happy Celebrations – eat cake for me!!!

Summer Dreams

Happy Friday!

I'm busy for the next few days, working on wedding items for our son's wedding.
Can't show anything until after the big day, but I'm having so much fun!

Thought I'd take a few minutes to enter a challenge today.
The Shabby Tea Room is hosting a challenge "Summer Dreams", that is sponsored
by Creations by AR.  I thought it was a perfect chance to give a shout-out to the challenge, and
of course, to our very own Adela at Creations by AR!  The template I'm using is
a sweet little picnic basket, that you can find HERE.
Mine is cut entirely by hand!  Love my trusty little scissors!

Hope your weekend is wonderful!
If you need me, I will be cutting and pasting like a wild woman!
Got the music on, tapping my feet, singing along (not a pretty sound),
and have a fun little assembly line in progress.
Thank goodness for my friend, Shirley, who saved me a trip to the city,
by having everything I needed from Cardstock to an old light box (like the ones we
used to use with brass stencils).

Happy weekend,
Thanks for stopping by!

Where have I been all this time?

Lol...yup - I've been MIA again!
If I haven't been commenting on your blogs, I've had a decent excuse :)

Here's what I was working on... needed favors for a baby shower at church Sunday.
I had THIS template from Creations by AR.

I worked it up half a dozen different ways, and it just wasn't what I wanted for this event, so I emailed the incredible Adela Rossol, and asked if she could tweak the front of the outfit to become a cute little scalloped edge dress.  LOOK what she did!  Love that lady - she's so talented, and so very sweet!

I had all of the pieces cut out, and ready to create the little dress fronts.
One morning, my amazing friend, Shirley, came over, and we assembled the dress fronts,
assembly line style.  THANK YOU, Shirley!!!
Each dress got a blouse behind it, a collar, a strip of ribbon, and a rosebud.
Oh...and two cuffs!
Then, we glued a strip of DP around each box, to hide the staples (yes,
the box was quick and easy, with one staple in each side)

Later in the week, I adhered the dress to the box, fixed puffy little bags of Hershey's kisses,
with cute little baby words on the bottom, and lots of white 'shred' material.

Still later in the week, I did this...a glassine bag, stamped with simple Pebbles stamps,
made Ghirardelli White Chocolate Covered Pretzels, with pink sprinkles, and tucked in a Hershey's white
chocolate bar.  I computer generated the little saying "Thank you for being here today. You have showered us with blessings, and made our day so 'SWEET'.  The names and date followed.

Then, I had leftover kisses.  What to do? What to do?  AHA!  I made these, and they just
filled in some gaps on the food table.

Here is the whole kit and caboodle, ready to party on!  It was a wonderful day.
The fellowship hall was full of love and friendship, and OH SO PRETTY baby girl gifts!

All of the designer papers, glassine bags, and ribbon are A Muse Studio products,
which I purchased from my good friend Shirley, who is a demonstrator for the company!

Anyhooo....that's my excuse.  50 of everything later, I'm ready to get inky again! Maybe
I'll have something new to share tomorrow :)

Thanks for stopping by,

Patti J.

It's a Creations by AR Beach Hop!

So glad you could join us in our Beach Hop!
Adela has been at it again, and just wait until you see this month's great templates!
These were a lot of fun to create, and it was my very first EVER creation with my Silhouette Cameo that I got for my birthday in April!

With our Creations by AR Hops, there is always a winner - how can you win?
There will be TWO winners!  One will be chosen from comments on the DT blogs, and one will be chosen from comments on our Facebook page.  So...be sure to hop, and leave comments!  We
will accept comments until Saturday, June 14, 12:00 noon Eastern.
Winners will be announced on the AR Facebook page, and on the AR Website!
Full list of blogs is shown below.

First up is the adorable Sandy Beach Bucket
Just look at this sweet bucket, complete with it's own shovel!  I simply added a fun accessory sentiment from the          'On the Go' Collection from the Paper Loft, and voila!  A great table favor!

This photo shows the card completely assembled, and in it's own card stand.

Here is a close up of the card stand.  As you will see in a later photo, the stand folds flat for mailing!

Here's the shovel peeking out!

And...here is the shovel, complete with message!  I created this card to be a gift card holder, along with the shovel!

And here is everything all folded up, ready for mailing!
We hope you enjoy today's hop!

Thanks for stopping by, Patti J.

Here is the hop order!

Creations by AR - Designer's Choice Blog Hop

Welcome to our May 'Creations by AR' Hop!

We have changed things up a bit - rather than a new release, the designers will all be showcasing their favorite Creations by AR templates.  What fun!  This will be inspiration heaven at each stop along the way!
Now... how can YOU win a Creations by AR template of your choice?

Leave a little love on each blog, and then leave a comment on the AR FB page, telling us which template you would like to win!  Easy peasy!!!
Your comments will be accepted until noon Eastern on Friday, May 16th.
Good luck, and happy hopping!

Here is the hop order:
Patti J.:  You're here!

WOWZA! I had a really tough time choosing just ONE favorite, so I'm featuring a few of my faves - hope you don't mind the extra photos today!

My first and forever fave is the My Picnic Basket template.  This is pure heaven!  It's a great size, and except for the handle, it's all lines and no fru-fru, so it cuts beautifully with scissors!  The handles are also very easily cut with scissors!  This would be wonderful as a gift basket, party favor, wedding favor....
Simply cut, fold, assemble, and decorate!
Easy peasy, right?

Here it is all nicely closed up...

And here it is open!

Of course, you can always make it with NO lid, too!  The handle could also be left off.  Cute, cute, cute!!!
Next up is the Comfy Sofa Gift Box
This template makes a chair or sofa, and the 'recliner' slides out to hold some yummies, or cash, or....

With Father's Day around the corner, wouldn't this chair be 'sweet' fun?

Another fun template is the Tux and Gown Box Set!

Perfect for wedding, prom....

There are SO many more, but I will stop with this fun Grad Cap Box.

What a fun way to let that special grad know that you love them!

Now, it's time to hop on!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Here is the hop order:

Patti J. - you are here!

Here is what I created with this box template.

As a new grandma, I created a box for our Lorelei!  Here is the box shown as an easel top box.

Better shot, looking down on it.

Here is what the easel looks like without a photo.

Here's what the box looks like on the inside...

And here is what it looks like with the little flap all tucked in behind the owl!

I used all Amuse Studio papers - Love that they all coordinate so beautifully!
This would be fun as a recipe box, vacation photo holder, souvenier holder, baby's first lock of hair and tooth, etc... Happy hopping!

Thanks for stopping by!

Creations by AR - March Release - Carrot Patch

Good morning!

We just returned from a trip to Germany, where we were allowed to spoil our new granddaughter for a week!  We are filled with enough 'happy' to last a long, long time!  Now, it's time to hop!

Welcome to the March product release blog hop for Creations by AR!
The wonderful Adela has been creating again, and this is such a fun template!
It's called 'Carrot Patch', and you can find it HERE.

Can you guess what the three carrots are filled with?  Mmm........

I don't YET own a cutting machine, so this was entirely cut with scissors and exacto knife.  All of the Creations by AR templates come in SVG or PDF files, and so far, I've always been able to keep up with the other girls!

Would you like to win this template?

All you need to do is comment on each participating blog, and on the Creations by AR Facebook page.

As I've been traveling, I don't have all of the links here on my blog.

You can find the entire list HERE!

Comments will be accepted until Friday, March 14, 12:00 noon Eastern.

One random winner will be announced on March 15th, on the AR Facebook Page, or the AR Website.

Good luck, and Happy Hopping!!!
Patti J.

EDIT:  I actually DO own a cutting machine now!  DH bought me a Silhouette Portrait for an early Birthday gift! My b'day is not until April, but he spoiled me!  We don't usually exchange gifts anymore for birthdays, or Christmas, so this was just an unexpected surprise!  In case you were wondering - yes, I'm keeping him!

Creations by AR - February New Release Hop

The February Release for Creations by AR is here, and the theme is Baby Love!
Welcome to my blog!  As most of you know, we are expecting our very first grandchild any day now, so when the amazing Adela gave us the new templates, I was beyond thrilled!  Without further ado,
here is what I created with the new releases!

First up is this precious little Rockin' Horse Card.
Isn't this just the sweetest thing? Overall measurements are about 4" by 4".

Next, is the Rockin' Cradle.  OMG, what a fun little creation this is!  It measures 3.25" wide, 3.25" tall, and 3.75" long.  The 'blanket' is a piece of paper towel, and the 'mattress' is something I created from a scrap of cardstock and a scoring board.  Had to make a matching rug, of course!  And the little pillow & bear is a digital image from Doodle Pantry.  Isn't it just a perfect finishing touch?

Now, you just have to see these darling Dress Up Baby Bag.  These worked up so quickly! I didn't have any wonderful pink cardstock, so I just took a small stamp, and some pink ink, and dabbed flowers all over the white piece.  The centers are colored yellow, but don't show up very well in the photo.

Measures 7" W x 9.5" H, 2.75"D

Measures 6.8" W x 9.5" H x 2.75"
Last, but not least, I used the Baby Love cut outs (included in the Dress Up Bag Templates), and created a couple of super quick cards.

Creations by AR templates come in SVG or PDF files.  As I don't (yet) own a cutting machine, I cut all of mine by hand.  This month, my teamie Sue, sent me the two Baby Loves, the tiny horse on the pink bag, and a few other teensy little items!  Thank you so much, Sue!  You rock!

This month, you can purchase templates individually, OR you can purchase the bundle, and get all three new templates for $12 - what a bargain (a savings of $3)!

Hope you've enjoyed these wonderful templates!
How can you win your choice of the three new templates?
Leave comments:
~On each DT members blog

Comments will be accepted until Friday, February 14th, at 12:00 noon EST.

One random winner will be announced on Friday, February 15th, on the Creations by AR Website and Facebook Page.

Time to hop!  Have fun!!!
