Great Impressions sponsors The Shabby Tea Room!

Happy Monday!

Great Impressions Stamps is sponsoring The Shabby Tea Rooms' challenge for week #250!

Our challenge is to use this beautiful photo for inspiration:

Isn't that the prettiest photo? Makes one want to be outside, right?

I was immediately drawn to the pretty pink bike, and of course, the basket of flowers.  Here's what I created, using Great Impressions D405 Just Me. Thinking of You, and Great Impressions F203 Garden Bicycle.

I've heard some quote about now matter how hard it is to climb a hill, we need to keep pedaling, and that's what inspired me to do the angled card.

Hope you like it!

Now it's your turn! Grab that beautiful inspiration photo, create something wonderful, and link it up in the Shabby Tea Room challenge!
You could be the winner of some Great Impressions goodness!

Thanks for stopping by today,
Have a great week!

Summer Dreams

Happy Friday!

I'm busy for the next few days, working on wedding items for our son's wedding.
Can't show anything until after the big day, but I'm having so much fun!

Thought I'd take a few minutes to enter a challenge today.
The Shabby Tea Room is hosting a challenge "Summer Dreams", that is sponsored
by Creations by AR.  I thought it was a perfect chance to give a shout-out to the challenge, and
of course, to our very own Adela at Creations by AR!  The template I'm using is
a sweet little picnic basket, that you can find HERE.
Mine is cut entirely by hand!  Love my trusty little scissors!

Hope your weekend is wonderful!
If you need me, I will be cutting and pasting like a wild woman!
Got the music on, tapping my feet, singing along (not a pretty sound),
and have a fun little assembly line in progress.
Thank goodness for my friend, Shirley, who saved me a trip to the city,
by having everything I needed from Cardstock to an old light box (like the ones we
used to use with brass stencils).

Happy weekend,
Thanks for stopping by!

From the Garden...

Quick post - busy day today! We are picking up our camper, and setting it up locally tonight to get the feel of everything. Will take pics!

Have you ever had one of those cards that work so well in your mind, but when you put them on cardstock, you end up laughing at your efforts? Tee hee...this is one of those type of cards! I was using the inspiration photo (above) from The Shabby Tea Room, and decided to try to literally be inspired, and make a window and wreath like the one in the photo. Best laid plans...good idea - not so good, pretty cheese, card!

Anyway, I'm going to enter it here:

Crazy 4 Challenges: "Buttons" (missed the challenge, but going to post anyway)

The Shabby Tea Room: "From the Garden"

Paper Playtime: "Flower Power"

Craftalicious Challenges: "Birthdays"

Pollycraft Challenge Blog: "Happy Birthday"

Stamp Something Challenges: "Something Flowery"

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend ~

So, Christmas in July seemed to be the challenge choice of many this week! This card features a retired TAC set, "Tropical Snowmen". I couldn't think of anything more fitting than a bikini clad snowlady for a July Christmas theme! Hope she makes you giggle - cheeks are colored with Tombow markers, bikini and hat are paper pieced.
I will enter this card here:
