Hello!

Today, I'm sharing a fun, card that I made with a new TJ stamp, No Woman to Hear, from the May release at Technique Junkies. 

Here's what I made:

The background, Cotton Lawn, was stamped with a tan ink, onto a white cardstock panel. The sentiment was then stamped with brown ink onto the background panel. The panel was adhered to a dark brown card base.

If Life Gives You Lemons....

Hello friends!

Today, I'm sharing a fun card that I made, using a snarky new stamp from the April release at Technique Junkies.

Today, I decided to work with Lemons. I thought it might make someone giggle!

Here's what I made:

Lemons was stamped in black ink, and matted onto black cardstock. I set this panel aside, and began working on my card front panel. Using some patterned paper and Washi Tape, I put together a fun, colorful background for my focal sentiment panel. This was matted in black, and adhered to a teal/blue colored card base. The panel was popped up with dimensional dots, and a couple of lemon stickers were added for fun.

Of Course, Size Matters!

 Hello crafty friends!

Here's what I made to share today:

All 3 cards use the same background BoHo Dots Background from the new release.  The card above uses an older stamp, Drinkin' and Thinkin' with a new sentiment, She Believed She Could. The background was stamped by dragging Distress Oxide Inks across the focal panel. The image and sentiment were stamped with Twilight Black Catherine Pooler Ink. The pieces were assembled to create a fun card.

Inside of card:

We always need just the right card for just the right person! The above card was created by stamping the background with a pretty orangish ink, stamping a wide section at the bottom, and a narrower section at the top. A strip of Washi Tape was added above the bottom section, leaving room for the sentiment from the new Inside Out: Size Matters set.  The inside sentiment was stamped, and a strip of washi tape added for a nice finishing touch!  

The above card was stamped in Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink. The fun, new, snarky sentiment, Three Languages was stamped, a strip of blue glitter Washi Tape and a narrow strip of black Washi Tape were added to the left of the sentiment. The card was assemble onto a black base.

Fun, right?  I know that you have that one special friend that would be thrilled to receive any one of these 3 cards!

People Our Age...

 Good morning!

I'm sharing two cute cards today that I have created with some fun new stamps Older than We Are, Champagne Birthday, and Inside Out: Young at Heart, from Technique Junkies. 

Here are my cards:

For this card, the stamping was done on white cardstock, then distressed with some gray ink. A bit of glossy accents was added to the champagne glasses for a 'glass' effect. A panel of woodgrain paper was cut and adhered to a gray card base. I cut a square of burgandy colored cardstock, and created two triangles, one a bit smaller than the other. The triangles were adhered to the woodgrain panel, and to finish off the card, the stamped pieces were popped up with foam squares.

The next card was fun. I die cut a whole bunch of black numbers, and set them aside. The next step was to stamp the sentiment panels onto gold cardstock (it really IS gold, not yellow), and mat them with black cardstock. I set them aside and began adding the numbers randomly onto a gold panel. I just used a wet glue for this. When the glue had dried, I ran the panel through an embossing folder, and put my card together. Love these Inside Out sentiment sets that Technique Junkies has!!! You should really go check them all out!

Young at Heart

 Hello Friends!

I'm up today on the Technique Junkies blog, and am sharing a pretty card using some stamps from the February release.

Today, I chose to work with some fun new sentiments 'Inside Out: Young at Heart'. This is a new set of 10 fun sentiments, that called for pulling out an older stamp 'Old Man', and some fun stencils, 'Messy Diamond Grid' and 'Grunge Dots'.

Remember that the new release stamps are 15% off through February 8th!

All coloring was done with alcohol markers, and Ink Blending Brushes and Distress Oxide Inks were used for the stenciling.

Here's what I made to share today:

To create the above card, I started with a bunch of 1/4" strips of scraps. I arranged them onto a dark green panel, and adhered that to a lighter green card base.  Then came the fun of choosing a sentiment from the new stamp set 'Inside Out; Young at Heart'. This was stamped onto yellow paper using Catherine Pooler's 'Deck the Halls' green ink. I trimmed up the sentiment pieces, and popped them up with some foam squares. There are TEN stamps in this sentiment set, and each one makes me smile out loud! Be sure to check it out!

This was another fun card to make. I started with some fun patterned paper, that looked like alcohol ink on one side, and had these fun shiny gold stripes on the other side. The sentiment 'Birthday Eye Chart' was stamped onto the patterned paper, and a strip of gold stripes was added at the bottom. This was adhered to a cinammon colored card base, and some fun eyeglass dies were cut from the same cardstock as the base. Glossy Accents was added to the eyeglasses after they were adhered to the card. This was another fun new stamp set!

Dear Santa

Hello Friends!

I'm up on the Technique Junkies blog to share a fun card, using some great stamps from Technique Junkies.

For this card, I used Inside Out: 12 Cookies Set of 10, and SD1044 Bah Humbug.

The stamping was done, and the image was colored with Copic markers. A bit of Glossy Accents was used on nose, toes, and eyes.  The Shining Star stencil was then used to accent the background. I used another stamp from the sentiment set listed above to give the envelope a bit of 'happy'!

I Hate Housework

 Hi there!

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built! Our challenge for this week is 'LOL - make a funny or snarky card'.

Here's what I made:

The older I get the more I dislike cleaning - I'd much rather be creating!

I found a fun stencil at Walmart the other day, and decided to go simple with this card. I stenciled the background, stamped and matted the sentiment and Ta-da, Ta-done!!!

Wendy has a fun selection of funny/snarky stamps in her Funny Bones section - you really should go take a peek!!!
