Sketch it out!

Howdy!
Hope this finds you all well and happy!

I saw a great sketch challenge at Power Poppy this month, and decided to play along!
As always, I'm a rebel when it comes to sketches, so I had to flip it...
Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I used the digital images and sentiment from the Power Poppy Everything's Rosy set. I use this set often for get well, and thinking of you cards. Love that I can resize the images to suit my needs. The image is colored with Copic Markers, and the mug is beautifully shiny, courtesy of Glossy Accents!

Enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,

Power Poppy Challenge and some Treats for Friends

Hi there!

Gosh, can't believe I haven't posted in a few weeks!

I'm going to stop jabbering and share what I worked on last week and last night!

Last night, I colored this image, and made this card today, for the challenge at Power Poppy. The  'You Say It's Your Birthday' challenge, just requires a birthday card! I used the 'Layer Cake' digital stamp set for the card. If you've never shopped there, you really should! Marcella is a St. Louis girl, and so very talented! Her images are just gorgeous, and such fun to create with.

So...last week, I made these for some friends at church:

You know how sometimes you get a $1 stamp someplace and use it until you wear it out? Yep, that's this one! Found it at Michael's I think, about 5-6 years ago, and reach for it a lot. Then, while shopping at Schnuck's, I saw these Lindt Truffle packages, and thought, AHA! Hope they liked them!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Hugs and smiles!

Be Thankful

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all staying safe from fires, and in our case, warm from the cold.

I thought I'd pop in today with a card I made for the 'Be Thankful' challenge at Power Poppy.

I used THIS free digital image for my card.

Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Take care, and be creative!!!

Life is better...

Hello!

I'm back with another fall card.  This one was made using a Power Poppy digital stamp, Olive & Oak. If you've never shopped with them, you are missing out! Marcella is uber-talented, and her flowers are so lovely!

I'm entering this in the Creative Confetti challenge at Power Poppy, using a Power Poppy image with a 'spicy' theme.  I took a bit of liberty here, thinking that olives really spice things up, right?

Here's my card:

All coloring is done with Copic Markers. The shine on the acorns and olives is Glossy accents.

Thanks for stopping by today - it's great to be back!

Hugs,
Patti J.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 7

Howdy!
It's Thursday, and I'm looking forward to the weekend. How about you? Funny how I still look forward to those two days, even having been retired many years.  Of course, THIS Saturday is our annual girl's day out to Collinsville, Il., for the yearly stamp show.  Be still my heart! New treasures to look forward to, and a whole day with good friends!

Here's what the Copics colored for Day 7 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge:

This is a digital image from Power Poppy, called 'Layer Cake'.  Have you ever been to Power Poppy and looked at Marcella's gorgeous flowers?  Oh my goodness, they are a dream to work with!

I'm going to enter this in the Hues to Use challenge at Power Poppy.
Here are the inspiration colors:

Thanks for dropping by to visit, and support me in this coloring endeavor.
I love to color, but coloring and posting 30 days in a row is stretching my brain!

Hugs to all,

Patti J.

Finally created something...

Hey there!

Can't believe I am finally back with a quick project. I began the intensive jobs of remodeling our fireplace, preparing 1099's, and getting tax info together.  Whew....busy here!

Thought I'd play along with a fun sketch challenge at Power Poppy. The challenge was to go to PageMaps and grab a sketch, and create something using their beautiful products.  Here's what I made:

I used this sketch (map):

Cute, right???

I used the Power Poppy digital set 'Get Wool Soon' for my card. Since my recipient is not sick, just someone that knits A LOT, I used a die cut instead of a get well sentiment.

All coloring is done with Copics, the designer paper is some Stampin'Up scraps, not sure who made the die cut, and some Glossy Accents were added to the mug for a bit of dimension.

Hope you're having a good January. I'll try to pop in and out of here once in a while!
For now, it's back to my ladder!!!

Hugs and grins,

Patti J.

Sunset Sway...

Hey there!

Thought I'd share a fun card that I made with a new digi set from Power Poppy Stamps.
This set is called Sunset Sway, and you can find it HERE.

Here's what I made:

And, here is the inside of the card. Isn't the sentiment beautiful?

I wish you could 'feel' this card.  I enjoyed coloring the beautiful image with Spectrum Noir markers, then turned the cardstock over, and used some stylus tools (for making flowers), to 'raise'
all of the images on the front side.  It feels so elegant!  Perhaps you can enlarge and get
a better idea of the dimension of the image.

I'm going to enter this card in the monthly challenge on the Power Poppy Blog.
This month, the challenge is 'Frame it Up'.  I've framed my image and sentiment with
some fun scalloped rectangle dies from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by!
