Family is Everything

Good morning!

I'm sharing a beautiful card today that I have created with a new background stamp, Asian Bamboo Garden, and a great new sentiment, Family is Everything, from Technique Junkies

Here is my card:

This was a CAS (Clean and Simple) card to create. I found a pretty Embossing Glaze, and a cardstock to match, stamped the image and sentiment with Versamark Ink, then heat embossed. The focal panel was adhered to the card base, and the sentiment was matted and adhered to panel using dimensional foam.

I hope you're all well, and I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today!

Favorite Technique

Hello!

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built! Our challenge for this week is 'Use Your Favorite Technique'.

Here's what I made:

One of my favorite techniques is heat embossing, so I found some pink embossing powder in my stash, and matched it up with some pretty papers - voila!  The envelope was stamped using Versamark ink, so is a 'barely there' look. I like the way it turned out!

Just a few days until Christmas - hope you are enjoying the beauty of this season. We have stayed very busy this month with Advent and Church activities, and now the grandkids are here! Live is good and we are blessed! See you next Wednesday!

I used this Repeat Impressions' stamps:

Let's see your projects! Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps, but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!

Yellow Brick Road

Hello!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share a card using Op Art, and Yellow Brick Road, from the April new releases.

You can save 15% on all new release stamps until April 8th!

I read a meme on Facebook the other day that said 'who knew when we woke up that Sunday in March, and pushed the clock forward an hour, we'd wake up in the twilight zone'?  I had to laugh out loud, but I have to admit, with everything going on around us, it feels a bit like that's what happened!

So...with that thought in mind, this card was born!

The background was created by heat embossing with black powder. The sentiment was also heat embossed.

Don't forget!!! You can also save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

This was so easy to create! Hope you will give it a try!

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new release!

A Day Over Fabulous!

Hello out there!

Happy Fri-yay to you all!

I have a Technique Junkies card to share with you today...loving this fun stamp!

For this card, I used two awesome new February release stamps, 'Particle Flow', and 'Day Over Fabulous'. To begin, I sponged on some circles with distress ink for the background. Next, I stamped Particle Flow in Memento Black Ink, then moved the image up a bit and stamped again with Versamark. The sentiment, 'Day Over Fabulous' was stamped with Memento Black Ink as well. The final step was heat embossing with a pretty turquoise powder. Once the focal panel was finished, it was matted with turquoise and black scraps, and adhered it to a pale pink card base.

Hope you like these stamps as much as I do!

Be sure to check out the Technique Junkies store to see all of the latest releases, and if you shop, please use my discount code (TJ10Patti) to get 10% off of your purchase!

It's Photo Inspiration Challenge time at 'The House'

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built!
Today's challenge is an inspirational photo. This month, we got to choose from 2 inspiration photos.  I love the colors and the shine on both of these pics,
don't you???

Here are the inspiration photos:

Photo inspirations areSTILL the toughest challenges for me.
But...I'm learning to step outside my comfort zone!

The fireworks and flag were both inked up by daubing ink directly to the stamp, using a small finger dauber.
The fireworks were then stamped again with Versamark ink, and embossed with a fine silver embossing powder.
The image was shadow inked, by inking first with red, and then moving the stamp a bit, and stamping again in blue.
The 'flag' is popped up with foam dots.

Ta da!

It's been a busy month for us, so this is a pretty clean and simple card.
Hope you like it!

Now, come on over and join us in our Photo Inspiration Challenge!
Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!

Designer's Choice Challenge - Heat Embossing

Good morning - happy Wednesday!
It's time for a new Designer's Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built!
Today, our ever so talented Rock Star, Kathy, is the hostess of our DCC. She has challenged us to
use heat embossing on our projects.

Let me show you what I did using Repeat Impressions 6003-M Floral Positive

To create my panel, I stamped the focal image with Versamark ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and trimmed around it.  I wanted a happy, summery, tie-died looking
result, so I then sponged with a few colors of distressed ink.  I wiped off the excess
with a dry paper towel, grabbed my Perfect Layers Rulers, created some mats,
stamped the sentiment, and voila!!!

This photo gives you a close-up of the heat embossed focal panel.

We'd love it if you got out your heat gun and created a project to link up to our challenge!
Once you've created, link up at The House That Stamps Built!
You don't have to use RI stamps to play along,
but if you do, you'll be entered twice!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money at Repeat Impressions,
and at Perfect PaperCrafting!

It's time to see what my Fellow Rock Stars have created with their heat guns!

Happy hopping!

Beautiful Day...

Happy Sunday!
We are completely iced in - going no place today, so you know what that means?
I've been creating!

Made this card for a couple we know that celebrated their fourth anniversary this week.  Four whole months!  My DH was the best man at their wedding, so this is a special occasion for them.

The card above was cased from a card at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps new release hop a week or so ago. I think the entire release is calling my name, but I had to have this set of flourishes.  It's divine :)  The sentiment is one of my all time favorites from Doodle Pantry.  Here is the card that I cased:

Isn't it beautiful?  Bridget was a real inspiration!!!

That's all I have for today - have some special orders to work on, so off I go!
Have a wonderful day, dear friends!

Hugs,
Patti J.
