Rock On!

Happy Tuesday!
It's my day to post on the Die-Versions blog, and I've chosen to spotlight one of the Sweet Spot dies from the newest release.  "Rock On" is the die that I've used, and it was fun to work with!  Cuts like butter, and you can easily just use the words without the circle if you prefer.

Supplies Used: Die-Versions "Rock On" Sweet Spots DVSS-066, Mo Manning Digital Image, Copic Markers, Cardstock from my stash, and American Crafts Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic Patterned Papers (a gift from my friend Marian!). And I always use my Perfect Papercrafting Tools to achieve the beautiful, even matting! See my sidebar for details on saving money - you all need your own sets!!!  Seriously! I rarely craft without them!

This die needed the perfect image, and when I saw this one at Mo Manning's digi site, I knew it would showcase the wonderful die perfectly!

I'm entering this card in the sketch challenge at Operation Write Home.  Here is the sketch:

Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!

Hugs & smiles,

Young Love....

Happy Friday to you all!

Hope you have plans for a nice, relaxing weekend.  I'm thinking ours might actually be quiet - looking forward to that!

I have a very quick post to share with you today.  My card features "Young Love" by Mo Manning.  I created this for the challenge (use black and yellow) over at the Stamping Bella Blog.  This is my first time to enter, so hope I did everything right - never know about me!

Cardstock is all A*Muse, and all coloring is done with Copic Markers.  Hmmm...used a few dimensional squares by Recollections (Michaels). Hope it makes you smile - I just love this cute little couple!  Guess I'm going to have to add some Stamping Bella stamps to my wish list!

Next up - you know that I don't often 'brag' when I am lucky enough to have a publication.  Sorry, folks - this time, I simply must brag!  Several months ago, I saw a publication call for CardMaker Magazine, to create a project using a photograph.  Sheesh, I'm such a bad photographer that I thought there was no hope for me. Then I thought about our DD, who is a WONDERFUL photograper, and together, we came up with a beautiful photo of DD's to use. So...I submitted my card, with black and white photo, and it was not only accepted, but they asked for another with sepia tones and one with full color.  I'm sure by now you are 'getting it'.  It's not the publication that is SO exciting, it is the fact that it was a project that came from us both. So, as you are perusing your July CardMaker, check out page 39 quickly, and then turn to pages 66 & 67 to see Melissa's fabulous photograph!

Hugs and blessings to you all!

Check back tomorrow to see if you are the winner of one of Adela's wonderful templates!

Happy Anniversary to Us!!!

Thirty-eight years ago yesterday,
I married my best friend and forever soul mate!

I cropped off the bottom of my card photo for DH, sparing you the mushy, personal stuff, but wanted you to see this totally fun image!!! It's a Stamping Bella image, 'Young Love', by Mo Manning. Really, just how much fun is this? (All coloring is Copics)

Mid-afternoon, the dogs (we have Rosie this week!) let me know that someone was coming up the drive. Sure enough, these were delivered from my handsome man!
There are 4 white roses, and 8 red.
Very beautiful!!!
He's such a sweetie!
(I'm thinking I'll keep him!)

Hopefully, you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Food for thought:
We all know why women my age don't have babies - they would put them down someplace and forget where they left them!!!
