Get Hoppy

Hoppy Thursday, and welcome to the "Get Hoppy" Mini Hop with Creations by AR ladies.

Adela has done it again!  Wait until you see this adorable Bunny Box!  

I don't have any electronic cutting machines, so I created my Bunny Box using the PDF files.  The template was printed directly to the cardstock.  A little cutting with scissors, a little adhesive, and voila!  A Bunny Box!

Just Saying Hello...

Happy Wednesday!

I've had a bit of fun today with my newest a*muse studio stamp set, "Friend to Friend".

Again, I was looking for a card to send a special friend.

Thought I'd pull out this set and see what happened...needed a 5 x 7 card, 

as I'm sending a small gift in the envelope too.

Supplies: a*muse Friend to Friend stamps, Marvy Matchables Jungle Green Dye Ink, Copic Marker YR16, Apricot, Ribbon from stash, a*muse Grass Gingham, a*muse Grass CS, a*muse bellini Venetian Patterned CS, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White CS, Layering Weight.

 Oh.   My.   Gosh.   These stamps make up into the cutest cards SO fast!  I didn't time this, but my guess is 15-20 minutes, tops.  Gotta love that!

Another first!

So, I finally decided to swallow my 'fears' and enter a card in one of the Gina K. Designs Stamp TV challenges. I opted to try Jessica Fick's sketch challenge. Jessica even included the dimensions in her directions, so aside from not having square Nesties, the card went fairly quickly!

Rupa Shevde's "So Grateful" pumpkin image was what I chose for the center section. It is stamped on white. As usual, my Kooh-I-Noor Colored Pencils were my coloring tool. I then stippled the white space around the pumpkins with Marvy Terra Cotta Ink. Instead of buttons as an embellishment, I chose to use Gina K's "Friendship Blooms" set. I took the tall vase, stamped just the tall mum twice, colored it, cut it out, and adhered the two mums with pop dots.

The four square pieces of background DP are from "Sunlit Summer" Downloadable DP, found in the "Freebies" on the Stamp TV site. If you've never been to this site, you need to go! There are several sets, and believe me, these downloadable papers are beautiful!

It's been a pretty quiet day at Patti J.'s place! I went into town late this a.m., had lunch with a good friend, and a bit later, I actually found the Martha Stewart Edge Punch set I've been looking for at Wal-Mart! Thanks oodles, Shirley for the heads up!!! They had the Loops, Scallops, and Spider Web sets - $20 for both punches! I got the loops - felt they'd be more versatile. If you have been searching, you might want to try Wal-Mart. FYI: At our particular store, these were not with the other M.S. Punches - they were down the sewing row near the Cropodiles.

This could be important, as I have a blogaversary REALLY soon! Hint, hint.... I also reached 10,000 hits a while back! Hint, hint, hint.... So, this could really be important!

I made this card for the Crafty Creations Challenge which was to use some embossing on our cards. I used my dotted swiss cuttlebug folder, and my nesties.

The image is special, as it is my first ever Our Daily Bread stamps! I have always oohed and aahed over their stamps, but have never been able to purchase any. A few weeks ago, I participated in the Stampin' Sisters in Christ's first challenge, and I won! The prize was this beautiful set. If anyone from ODB is reading, thank you so much for this wonderful prize! Thanks too, to the SSIC for their wonderful challenge site!

Supplies: Our Daily Bread Birthday Stamps, Tombow Markers, Marvy Terra Cotta Ink for stippling, Versafine Black Ink for stamping, Ribbon from Hobby Lobby, DCWV CS.

Tomorrow is a 'girl's day out'! My friend and I are going to go to Archiver's and make some Christmas cards! If I learn anything fun, it will be posted tomorrow night!

DD and DH are both on the road late tonight coming in. DD's been manager on duty today, so has pulled a 12 hour shift, and DH is driving the 4+ hours home for the weekend. I'll be happy to see them home safe and sound!

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Paper PIERCING, not piecing!

So, today, I was on the ball! I was actually going to have a challenge done early, posted early, and get some cleaning done. Ha! I misread piercing for piecing and had to start planning all over again! Best laid plans....gotta have a sense of humor in this hobby! Notice that once I got started, I nearly pierced this thing into obliteration!

The challenge for day 139 at 365 Cards, was to use the paper piercing technique to create a pattern on our cards. Here is mine.....



Looking at it on the 'big screen', I realized that it would have been prettier if I'd pierced the two outside edges in reversed format so that the little round part in the center was to the outside edges. Oh well, I will for sure know next time!
