TGIF...

Thank goodness it's Friday! I hope that you all have had a good week, and are ready for a great weekend.

DH had a Dr. appt. today in the city. I decided last night to make a few quick cards to give to the lady at the office who handles his appointments. It's not always been a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, and we SO appreciate this lady being so kind and easy to deal with. I was at a loss, as they needed to be quick. I decided to just use some Cuttlebug folders, and make an assortment of cards with whatever I had on hand. They were delivered to her in a cute gift bag, which I forgot to photograph!

I'm going to enter the card above at The Cuttlebug Spot: Anything Fall is the challenge.

Well, hope that you like something here! I don't have time to scope out challenges this week, so these are all 'just because'!!! Thanks for stopping by, and I'm off to check on all of you now!
Hugs,
Patti J.

OMG! I colored!!! With my new Copics!!!

Woot woot! I used my Copics! The photo is terrible, and I grabbed the Tea Dye sponge instead of the Antique Linen sponge, but if you ignore all of that, and just look at the coloring, it's not too bad! Woot Woot!
This is another adorable image, Noel Peace, that I bought from 7 Kids College Fund when my brain was on vacation...
I am entering this card here:
Flutterby Wednesday's (Open challenge, include butterfly, angel, or fairy)
Off I go to fold laundry - have a great weekend!
Hugs!

Christmas is "Just Rite" in July...

The challenge at Just Rite Stampers this week is "Christmas in July". I love Just Rite Stamp sets, but I only have three sets, and of those three sets, only the half circle is a Christmas stamp. So...I improvised!
The doily stamp is Hero Arts, and has been heat embossed with white. The red DP is Martha Stewart, and the green DP is DCWV. The white CS is embossed with my dotted swiss Cuttlebug Folder, so I am also entering this at The Cuttlebug Spot, where the challenge is also Christmas in July.

Sigh...back to my kitchen!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Saturday!

Well, we have some snow on the ground! I'm thinkin' the drifts are maybe over a foot. The Weather Reports say that Farmington had 4-7" in actual accumulation. The sun came out today and melted quite a bit of the top layer, so now we have our fingers crossed that this won't turn to ice after dark! Hope that where you are is warm and dry!

I have a couple of cards today - the first one is for the House Mouse Challenge #61. The challenge was to create a faux grid. I created my grid using the Scor-Pal, after coloring my image. I then applied a couple of layers of clear embossing powder. Hope you like it!

The next card is for the Cuttlebug Spot challenge. The challenge for this week was to use silver and black. Here is my card for the challenge - hope you like it!

I had a tough time with the pictures today - cards look all crooked and misshapen - sorry! Couldn't fix the glare on the mouse card - sheesh! Some days are just like that, YOU know what I mean, I know you do!!! Hoping that DD will have time soon to give me some lessons with my camera!

Well, have a blessed Sunday, and if I don't see you before, I'll be back for a Magical Monday! Here is a sneak peek of my Monday project!

Trick or Treat!

Here is a little something I enjoyed putting together tonight! I'll start by showing you the Mojo Monday Sketch for this week, which I followed on my project!

Instead of stamping on the large rectangle, I made a rectanular window, showing the yummy candy inside my Trick or Treat Wrapper that I created for the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge!

Here is a shot of the back so that you can see the beautiful argyle embossing!
The orange strip at the bottom is just part of the purple box cover that I sponged with orange Stampin'Up Ink until it was orange!
Last but not least, here is what's inside the matchbox! Yum... Isn't this purple candy corn just too much fun? So pretty!!!

I am also going to hop over to Pile it On, where the challenge is "Ready for Halloween". I think this should qualify!

Off to get some sleep. Take care...

Holiday Cards

Today was a busy day here!
+++++

Little white furball had to be groomed today, it was Stamp Club Day, and three checkbooks had to be balanced. I made time to play a bit this evening, however!

+++++

This first card is one of my favorites. I really like the way it turned out! CS was GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, and Stampin' Up Bermuda Bay. Ink and Ribbon were Stampin'Up Bermuda Bay. Stamps were once again, Theresa Momber's "Very Merry Christmas" set.

Hope you like it!!! I submitted it into a challenge at Stamp TV that was to make a 'kickstand' card.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This card was made for the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge, which was to make a monochromatic card, and for sketch challenge STVSC33 at Stamp TV.. I used DCWV CS, misc. embossing folders, and Rupa Shvede's "So Grateful" stamps. Ink was Versafine Brown. Image was stamped on GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, punched out, and then stamped again. I colored and fussy cut the second image, and used pop dots to adhere it over the first image. Flower is Martha Stewart punch. Flower center is a scrap of embossed CS.

Hope you like this one too!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Yikes! We get up at 4 a.m. tomorrow - must get some sleep!
Have a great night - rest well!

Pretty in Pink...

Isn't she the most adorable little lady ever?

Meet Lili! Lili is shown with her very own Awareness Ribbon! Lili is an Inky Impressions stamp that I purchased last week, and have had in hand for a couple days and have been SO anxious to ink up! I know that when you see her, you are all going to want her, so let me sweeten the deal! If you purchase this Lili, a portion of the proceeds will go the the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and also to the American Diabetes Association. See??? Sweet deal...! You get a darling stamp, and help someone in the process!

What I really like about this is that you can color her ribbon in any color to reflect whatever cause you like!

My card today, featuring Lili, is for three challenges. First, I am using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.

Secondly, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness this month, the challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot is "Pretty in Pink". I think Lili is definitely pretty in pink!

Third, the challenge at ABC is "E is for embossing". As you can see, I used the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder on the pink rectangles.

Recipe: Cuttlebug Argyle Embossing Folder, Inky Impressions Stamp, Pink Ribbon DP by Stemma, Ribbon from Wal-Mart, Pink Starburst Gelly Pen, Kooh-I-Noor Pencils, Tombow and Sharpie markers.

Hope she brought a smile to your face! I'm off to change a load of laundry, and then to come play with the new set I got in the mail yesterday! A couple of weeks ago, I was the winner at the Saturday Cinema Challenge, and the sponsor was Gina K. Designs. I got to pick out a free set! I chose Theresa Momber's newest Christmas set, and I cannot wait to sit down with it!
Happy Tuesday!
