Hello

Hello!

We've had a snowy weekend here in Missouri. The upside is that I managed to get some coloring time in!

Here is the darling January Fairy Tot and a sweet penguin that I got for participating at 7 Kids College Fund this month. You know how much I love cute images and coloring time!!!

These were digital images, so I created a little 'scene' with the images. After it was colored with Copic markers, I drew in a few hills of snow, added some Nuvo Glitter Accents, a die cut from Poppy Stamps, and Ta-Da - a card was born!

How cute is this?

Cuteness....

Hello!

I'm so excited that I was able to sit down today and create a card with this sweet digi image that I snagged from 7 Kids College Fund earlier in December. You all know that I cannot resist a cute image!

This was colored with Copic markers, fussy cut, and added to a background of snow, snowflakes, and a bit of a sponged night sky.

Here it is:

Freezin' Season

Hello!

I'm so excited about this sweet digi image that I snagged from 7 Kids College Fund the other day. They had a 24 hour 'free image' giveaway on Facebook, and you all know that I cannot resist a cute snowman!

This sweetie was colored with Copic markers, and was truly a 1/2 hour card, start to finish!

Here it is:

Time for Apple Pie...

Hi folks!

It is a glorious Sunday in Missouri!  Goodness, I hope you have all gotten outside today for a while. I'm just coloring like crazy, and Steven Tyler's singing to me while I work.

Have lots to do today, so it shall be a short post.  I'm using Carly's great sketch today.  Carly is Kristine B.'s daughter, and is a wonderful young artist.  Stop by her blog and check out her very own digi images :)

Supplies: Authentique DP, Copic Markers, Kaiser Craft Pearls, Colorbok CS, Spellbinder's Circle Dies

Today's share is a sweet little Sarah Kay image, "Time for Apple Pie".  This card was created for my chemo angel patient, and I'll enclose a little apple something or other.  For the flowers, I punched a few circles, cut them in a spiral and rolled them, finishing them off with a pearl.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Sketches by Carly: Sketch
CAS-ual Fridays: Use pastels and black
7 Kids College Fund: Anything Goes

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!  I'm off to peel potatoes.  See you all soon.

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Food for thought:  Patience is the one thing that I can never get fast enough to suit me :)

Could it be??? SUNshine? Blog Candy?

Hello!

Hope this is the beginning of a great day for all of you.  I just let the dogs in, and thought, "hmmmmm.....could it be?  Is that really SUNshine I see poking through those clouds?"  I think it just might be :)

Today's card was made 'just for fun'.  I have no idea who will receive it.  I saw a challenge at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog for a monochromatic card using a stamp found at the 7 Kids store, and I couldn't resist using this "Tweet Talk" image by Penny Black.  Click photo to enlarge!

Supplies: Penny Black Tweet Talk, Sentiment by Amy R., Flowers from Hobby Lobby, DCWV Pink CS, Doodlebug Designs "Sweet Cakes" Paper Pad, EK Success Corner & Border Punches, Copic Markers, Color Box Chalk Ink-Orchid Pastel, Doily from Dollar Tree, Dimensional Squares (Michael's)

I don't do monochromatic cards very often, so it just had to be a fun, frilly, cheerful, and 'bling-ful' card!  Pink is so much fun to create with, but I rarely choose that color, so this was fun!  Lee, if you are reading, this should make you grin for at least a few minutes!!!

So, folks, guess who did it again?  Yep, me.  Nope....did NOT get published again, but....

I bought the last issue of CardMaker Magazine, and it came with my subscription renewal too.  So....some lucky person will win my extra copy!  To enter, just leave me a comment on this post and tell me you'd like to win.  No need to be a follower (but I'd love it if you were!).  I'll draw a winner on Sunday, and mail out the magazine on Monday - fair enough???

Need some help - I am volunteering on Feb. 25th at a nearby YMCA Women's Wellness Weekend.  I'll be teaching several classes, and would love to know if any of you can hook me up with folks that would be willing to donate some Scor-Tape?  If I can't get some scor-tape donated, then they are planning for us to use Elmer's glue.  Ugh....we are doing gift bags, candy boxes, candy wrappers, and gift cards.  Elmer's would SO be my last choice!  lol...   If you know of any company out there that would help out, let me know!

One last thing....I had a lady e-mail me looking for an old set of TAC stamps - the Snowman Nativity.  If anyone has that set and would like to give it away, sell it, or loan it for a while, let me know.  I took all of my TAC stamps to the animal shelter a few weeks ago, or I would have a set!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings and smiles in measures of oodles!

Wonderful Day...

Hello!

It is, indeed, a wonderful day in Missouri!

There is NO snow, ice, or sleet falling from the sky, and are you ready for this?

THE SUN IS SHINING!!!

Woo hoo!
DH actually got to town for us today. I don't recommend doing our driveway in a sideways fashion, but luckily, he didn't get t-boned as he slid out into the highway. Ugh...hills... beautiful to look at, and sled down, driving??? not so much!
My project today features the Bildmalarna stamp "Mimosa - Wonderful Day". I think she is as sweet as can be! I took the liberty of trimming off her flowers, and giving her some hearts instead! All DP's are from the Basic Grey Hopscotch Collection, and bless her little 'heart', she is paperpieced from top to bottom except for her skin and hair!
I hope you like her! Now, she is NOT a greeting card - this is actually a box of Nuggets, and se is perched on the lid! I made the box a bit larger than 6 x 6. The nuggets are also covered with the BG Hopscotch Collection. The little white doily is from the Dollar Store, and I highlighted it with a Copic marker, so that it would stand out a bit. The conversation hearts and nail heads were purchased a year or two ago at Joann's Crafts. I looped the bottom heart around her hand with a piece of twine.
Mmmmm.....Nuggets.....

I am entering this in the challenge at All That Scraps - "Anything Goes" (use an image sold in their store) and also at 7 Kids College Fund - I {Heart} You! (use hearts on your project, and use an image sold in their store). I think this fits in both challenges!

It feels good to finally enter a challenge again! I don't usually enter these two challenges, as my confidence is lacking, but decided to give it a try today! Guess it's the sunshine going to my head!!!

Have a great Thursday evening!

Hugs and smiles...Patti J.

P.S. Don't forget that there is still time to answer my itty-bitty blog candy question here!

OMG! I colored!!! With my new Copics!!!

Woot woot! I used my Copics! The photo is terrible, and I grabbed the Tea Dye sponge instead of the Antique Linen sponge, but if you ignore all of that, and just look at the coloring, it's not too bad! Woot Woot!
This is another adorable image, Noel Peace, that I bought from 7 Kids College Fund when my brain was on vacation...
I am entering this card here:
Flutterby Wednesday's (Open challenge, include butterfly, angel, or fairy)
Off I go to fold laundry - have a great weekend!
Hugs!
Patti J.

Noel Charity...

LAST DAY TO ENTER FOR BLOG CANDY!!!!
One of the new Sarah Kay stamps, Noel Charity is featured on my card today. Is she not just the most precious little sweetie? I found her at 7 Kids College Fund, and just could not resist. You all know how it is some days. Your fingers push "Add to Cart" before your brain balances your checkbook... tee hee!!!

I also found these Nesties at Flowers to Flourishes, a site that my friend Olga sent me to check out. If you haven't been, GO! Each day, they feature one item all day long. When it is sold out, it's gone. This set was $13.99 + $4.99 s/h. Period. No added charges. And I got them within 4 days of ordering!

Supplies: CS: Bazzill, Nesties 17, Colored Pencils & LOMS, Sarah Kay Noel Charity, Ribbon from stash, DP:DCWV Winter Stack, Sponged with Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise, Pearls from ZVA, White Gel Pen.

I hope that you are having a great Friday. It's quiet here today, for a change!
Tomorrow night, DD and I are going to a nearby town for a Ghost Walk of some sort....
I told her that she might have to hold my hand!!! I'll let you know how that goes!
Barb Foster, wish you were here - sounds like something you'd love!!!
Hugs and smiles!

Pretty in Pink!

There's a new challenge blog in town!!!

Woot woot!

I'm sure that you are all familiar with shopping at 7 Kids College Fund.... well, hold onto your socks, dear friends, because they now have a challenge blog!!!

My card today is for the new challenge.
Today's challenge is: Pink and Dots, and you need to use an image you can find in the 7 Kids store.
Head over and check it out - the DT work is incredible, lots of great inspiration all in one place!

Meet "Spring Emma", by C.C. Designs. Isn't she precious? And, OMG, it was so much fun to pair her up with PINK!!!
Now, you will note that Emma is blonde....that's because, I only have ONE hair colored Copic marker, and it happens to be yellow! I also only happen to have one pink, one blue, and one skin tone, so don't be too hard on my coloring today! I also just noted that I forgot to add a white dot to her cheeks! I meant to do so!!!

I will also enter this card here:
Flutter By Wednesdays: Butterfly, Fairy, or Angel, AND your favorite color
Creative Card Crew: Cute and Girly
Fab 'n Funky: Spotty, Dotty, and Stretchy Stripes
Paper Play Challenges: Anything Goes
Dutch Dare: Anything Goes
Hope your Wednesday is delightful!
Hugs,
Patti J.
