Rainy Day in Missouri....

Actually, I guess my title should be rainy DAYS in Missouri! Goodness, has it ever rained! It should make for a gorgeous fall, though. The leaves will be every shade of beautiful!

I have a quick post today. This card is for the Inky Impressions Challenge. The challenge was to make an easel card, and it's over tonight at midnight eastern time, so I am livin' on the edge, for sure! The prize for this challenge is a spot as a guest designer at Inky Impressions - now, you tell me, how much fun would that be???

Anyway, life certainly got in the way of this card. I had it planned very differently, but had many interruptions, and was only able to start on it this afternoon. Then when I went to photograph it, I realized that my camera is in DH's work truck. Sheesh! I found another old camera, and made it work, however, I cannot get it to stop posting the date. So, please, dear friends, ignore the ugly 09 in the bottom corner! lol...
I am also entering this at Flutterby Wednesdays (include a butterfly, angel, or fairy on your card, AND the color PINK!)

Hope your week's been awesome. We are almost at another weekend! There's a special singing at our church tomorrow evening that we are very much looking forward to. It's a benefit for our minister and his wife who were married the last weekend in June. They flew to Calif. for their honeymoon where she became terribly ill and had to have an emergency hysterectomy. Of course, the insurance was not yet in effect, so their financial situation is pretty grim. Bills are in excess of 100k already, and still accumulating.

Have a nice evening!

Hugs and blessings,

Patti J.

Beautiful card Patti!
That's such a sad story about your Minister and his wife, praying she makes a speedy recovery.

Hey chick! I just LOVE that lattice punch and the way you draped the roses as if they are haning off. I also love how you used a part of the swirl on the bottom part to hold the card up. I still have never made one of these cards. Looks like more work.
