CardMaker - Ellison/Sizzix Blog Hop

Hello!

I'm excited today, to be part of a fun blog hop!

Sizzix and CardMaker Magazine have joined together to bring you a wonderful variety of cards, and other inspiration and ideas featuring some amazing dies by Stephanie Barnard.  Each designer on the two teams, will be featured on one day of the hop. Each day from June 1-13, you will find inspiration, as you hop along with us!

I'm happy to share some fun things with you today!
Thanks to the folks at Sizzix, I had some incredible new products to create with! I am still pinching myself - what fun! Thank you Sizzix!

It was unbelievable, just how easy this card came together!

The products I used for this card were:
Blue card stock, white card stock, sequins, adhesive, baker's twine

Here's a view from the side - just look at that fun die!!!

I decided to use some of the die elements to create a fun Birthday card!
Hope you like it!

I also used Stephanie Barnard's stamp set 'Back2Basics Set #1. This was the series premier in 2009, and I've nearly worn it out!

Be sure and check out the next person on the hop tomorrow!
Mou Saha has something wonderful to share with you, and will have the next link to the hop!

Leave lots of love along the way, because to thank you for taking the time to follow along in our hop, Sizzix will be giving ONE LUCKY WINNER a Sizzix Big Shot Machine, their choice of 3 Stephanie Barnard dies from her latest cardmaking Sizzix collection, as well as a YEAR long subscription to CardMaker magazine!!!  All of the details for the giveaway, and how you can enter for a chance to in can be found on the Sizzix site!

Great Impressions June Challenge

June? Seriously?
Yep!
And here we are with a new monthly challenge at Great Impressions.

Our challenge this month is 'Anything Goes'.

Peerless watercolors were used for the background. The bear and flowers were colored with Copic markers. The bear was then smooshed with a piece a towel with some colorless blender, for a raggedy effect. He was adhered to the card front with dimensional foam. Flowers were stamped a second time, colored, fussy cut, and adhered directly over the stamped image.

Hope you like this little guy!
Now....create something fun, and link up to our Anything Goes challenge!
We hope you will use your Great Impressions Stamps!!!

If you do use GI stamps be sure to link up to the customer gallery HERE.

Be sure to stop by the Great Impressions store HERE and treat yourself to a few new stamps!

Did you know shipping is free over $25?!

Thanks for stopping by!

CardMaker Celebrate and Decorate, AND Born to be Wild!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm up again today on the CardMaker Magazine Blog!

My assignment for today was to create a non-card project for the
'Celebrate and Decorate' category.

My project celebrates sisters (especially mine!) and decorates her new apartment with a fun creation. I had a LOT of fun with this - hope you will pop over, check it out, and leave
some nice words in case dear sis reads the post - thanks!

Now, it's time for my Saturday post on the Great Impressions Stamps blog.
The new stamps are so much fun to create with - hope you like today's card...
I'm pretty sure this is me and my friend, Shirley. (She's the skinny one :)

I used these Great Impressions Stamps today:

C478 Wild
J117 Mable & Vera Cruzn'

I'm pretty sure that Shirley and I are headed to a stamp show in a neighboring state, and that we are in a bit of a hurry to shop before someone else gets all of the bargains - what do you think?
Loved creating with this one - sorry the photo is so bad. Hard to capture with all of the glare of the glossy parts!

Thanks for stopping by,

Patti J.

Repeat Impressions Color Challenge

Hello! Are you ready for a new color challenge at The House that Stamps Built?
We have a fun color combination today.

This is another one that I had to really think about - all I could see was Halloween with these colors.
SO....a big step out of my comfort zone!

Here's the colors we are challenging you to use:

And, here is the card that I made, using Repeat Impressions 9009-F Butterfly (sm), and Repeat Impressions 8606-E Happy Birthday.

The butterflies were repeatedly stamped in green and purple, on cream card stock, and
voila!  A card front was born. The sentiment was added with some foam dots, and it's ready to mail.
If you notice the terrible trimming around my sentiment, you will understand why I use my
Perfect Layers rulers to do my matting! (see my sidebar!)

Have a great day, and don't forget to see what my fellow Rock Stars have to share today
using this beautiful color combo!

Have fun!
Hope you link up your card this week at The House that Stamps Built!
