Toilet Paper Cards

Howdy friends!

I was in need of a fun card idea to send out to some friends and family members, when I saw a video by Melanie Muenchinger. This was exactly what I wanted to do, so, I sat right down and figured it out, thanks to Melanie's great video!

Here's what I made - Be sure to click them larger to get a look at the fun embossing!
The stamps are from Pink and Main's 'Hugs Needed' set:

Here's the card inside, and the envelope fronts and backs - the card front has a cute toilet paper roll from the Repeat Impressions set 'Holy Crap'. The sentiment on the back was Stampabilities 'Have Faith' off the sale rack at Hobby Lobby last year, as was the Cross and sentiment on the card inside. The masked emoticon and matted sentiment was computer generated.

So, if you are looking for something to bring a smile to someone's day, this might be it! Go check out Melanie's video - she makes it SO easy! No dies involved, just a pencil, scissors, and an embossing folder!

Let me know if you decide to give it a try - I'd love to pop in and see what you've created!

I also needed a belated birthday card, and used some stamps from Repeat Impressions' 'Holy Crap' set.  Here's how it turned out:

This sentiment was perfect, as I was late last year, too!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!

White Space Scares Me...

Finally nabbed a few minutes in the old craft room!!! I have a very quick and simple card tonight.

The challenge this week at Simplicity, is "overlapping".
We are to overlap the sentiment and image.
Susan doesn't care where on the page we put it, but we need to overlap.
OMG... do you realize how much WHITE SPACE that leaves on an A2 card? Why am I so stinkin' scared of white space? lol....

Anyway, above, is my card for the challenge. The sentiment is Stampabilities,
the roses are Inkadinkado.

I used pink and green Colorbox Chalk inks for the coloring, and actually colored them using a waterbrush. Fun and fast!
I am also going to enter this at Creative Card Crew. The challenge there is Pink & Green - I think this might fit!

I hope that you and your family are having a wonderful weekend.
We are planning to visit the graveyards tomorrow, bearing flags, flowers, and prayers.
I will probably see you on Monday!

Thanks for stopping by - Hugs to all!

Enough!

Enough of that UGLY pinhead staring at me when I open my blog - lol... I have the sweetest little face to replace him with!
Before I show you my card, I have an update on the non-profit auction I made gifts for. It was held tonight. My items (except for the mugs) were all put into one gift basket and raffled as a set. IT WENT FOR $110.00!!!!! And if that's not enough, our one little tray of homemade Pecan Bars went for $85.00!!! Wowzers!!! I am certainly in shock! People are certainly good, and rise to the occasion when needed!!!
Thanks for listening!
Now...
This little guy is a Treehouse Stamp - isn't he just the cutest ever??? I created this card for the following challenges:

365 Cards: Theme is "It's What's Inside That Counts" and "I Miss You" (the catch is that the sentiment must be on the inside of card!) (Sentiment is Stampabilities)

Paper Blooms: Bling

Pile it On: Black, White, + One Other Color

Stamp Something: Favorite Embellishment (for winter cards, it's definitely bling!)

Forever Friends: Black, White, + One Other Color

Pollycraft Monday Challenge: Black, White, + One Other Color

Treehouse Stamps: Just 'around' the corner

Hope this one doesn't scare you as bad as the last one! The gorgeous ribbon is Stampin' Up, by the way!

Have a great night!

Whew...Catching up!

Well, if you could see me now, you would see me reaching way up and over my shoulder to pat myself on the back! I have caught up Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday's challenges for 365 Cards! I tried to get to the MMSC #12, but I will just wait for #13!

At 365 Cards, Sunday was Super Sketch Sunday. Here is the sketch, followed by my card. As you can see, I flipped the sketch onto it's side. Paper is Karen Foster, Stamp is Dog Gone Stamps. Sentiment is Stampabilities.

Monday's challenge at 365 Cards was an Ad-inspired challenge. Here is the inspiration photo, followed by my card. DP is Scrapbook Walls, Stamps are The Angel Company.

Tuesday's challenge at 365 Cards was "Imagine This: Sunflowers". We were to make a sunflower inspired card. The card need not have a sunflower on it anyplace, but must be inspired by sunflowers. My BOX follows! I decided to make a Pizza box!
DP is Paper Perspectives, Stamp is Hero Arts, Used Ranger Crackle Medium on Sunflower on top of box, and used Stampin' Up Ribbon.
I'm off to try to catch up on some of my 'blurfing'. I need to see what YOU have been up to!
Blessings and hugs to you all.
Good night...
Patt

First time for everything this week...

I am actually on time with a challenge! Of course, there are 15 more that I've printed out and have on my desk that I just can't seem to get to this week. I've been painting and cleaning, and just setting aside a little window of time to play, instead of the other way around!

So, here is my 365 Cards challenge card for today. The theme was "She said, and I quote'... We were to include a quotation on our cards. I decided on this cute stamp. I purchased it a couple of years ago when it was approaching my sister's birthday. And since I only have one sis, I've only inked it once! I thought this was a good opportunity to use it again!

This was one of those 5 minute cards! Here is the recipe:

DP - Cloud 9 Designs
Ink - Stampin' Up Wasabi Green
Stamp - Stampabilities
EK Success Edge Punch
Tombow Markers
Martha Stewart Pre-Tied Bow
Pop Dots for the sentiment
That's all folks! - Easy peasy! - 5 minutes - no kidding!

Well, I'm off to blurf for a while and check out YOUR blogs! Haven't gotten to do that in a while, and I have about 35 minutes before DH gets home.

Take care everyone.

Last Minute Challenge!

I just realized that tomorrow is Thursday! This card is for the Nesties challenge at http://www.kgiron.blogspot.com/
It uses Nestabilities, TAC Beautiful Place, Stampabilities Sentiment, Tombow Markers, a maroon sharpie, and a white paint pen. It also features a piece of Gina K. Designs' downloadable Floral Fantasy DP.
I don't like this as much as the one I posted earlier today, but it was quick, quick, quick!
