Everyone Wishes

Hello crafty friends!

I have a nice card to share with you today, using some great Technique Junkies stamps.

Here's what I made to share today:

Isn't this nice?  This sentiment wouldn't be limited to Father's Day...it would work anytime!  The image, Hillside Pines, and the sentiment, Everyone Wishes, were stamped with green Distress Oxide Ink, onto a white cardstock panel. The white panel was adhered to a green card base.

Boom...done!
Doesn't get much easier than this! Someone will be very happy to find this in his mailbox!

Thanks for stopping by - hope you like these stamps as much as I do!

Here's what I made to share today:

Is this image Thank you for your Service not spectacular? And the sentiment? Perfect! This set includes the image and four beautiful sentiments. Image and sentiment were stamped onto some pretty patterned paper, using Catherine Pooler's Midnight Archival Ink. The focal panel was then adhered to a black card base.

Next up:

Another amazing image, Father and Son Fishing,  and sentiment, Incredibly Proud. Again, both were stamped onto patterned paper using Catherine Pooler's Midnight Archival Ink, and adhered to a black card base.

I think these both turned out to be stunning cards. Hope you like them, as well!

I'm sure you know someone who would love to receive either one of these cards!

Because I'm the Dad

Hello crafty friends!

It's May release day at Technique Junkies... Things are blooming here, and it's warming up a bit. The spring rains are here too - we've already been mowing!

We have awesome new stamps for you, just in time for Father's Day, and all of them are 15% off through May 8th! No codes are needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Here's the May Release, and you can get it as a bundle! Check it out:

Isn't this an amazing release???

Here's what I made to share today:

This card uses a fun new background stamp, Because I'm Your Dad. Okay, admit it - you have heard many, if not all of these sayings from your parents, and/or you've said them to your own kids! I had to laugh out loud when I read them all - too familiar and funny!

To create this card, I stamped the entire panel with Catherine Pooler's Midnight Archival Ink. Then, I stamped again with Versamark Ink, on black cardstock, and heat embossed with white powder. I trimmed the Because I'm your DAD sentiment, and adhered it to the panel with a foam strip. The panel was then adhered to a black card base. Pretty fun, right???

Next up is another fun card. The Because I'm Your Dad background was stamped with black ink onto a white card base. The sweet image, Father and Daughter, and a fun older sentiment, ATM were stamped in black onto a scrap of white cardstock.  Then I used Modern Circles Set of 9, another older stamp set, and stamped various circles with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed in gold. This panel was matted with blue cardstock, and adhered to the card base using dimensional foam pieces.

This shows the shine of the gold....looks a little bit like money, right?

Finally, here's a serious card. I've used the Father and Daughter stamp and an older sentiment, Lifelong Friends. These were stamped with black ink onto a white panel. Using A Colorful Life Designs Falling Stars Stencil, and light blue ink, I stenciled the white background. Isn't this the best 'dad' sentiment? It could be used for Father's Day, New daddy, Birthday, Just because.... The white panel was then randomly cut in half, and adhered to a deep blue card base.

I know that you have that one special dad that would be thrilled to receive any one of these 3 cards!

I hope you like this great new release, and can't wait for you to see the awesome inspiration
from our Design Team!

Father's Day

Father's Day is just around the corner - can you believe we are nearly halfway to Christmas and taxes again???!!! Yikes! Time sure flies as one gets older...

I made this card last year for a swap, and just put it away in a box. (This was long before I even knew that this world of blogging and sharing was out there!)

I thought it turned out pretty cute! The base is DCWV CS, topped with a sheet of glossy paper which I used Tim Holt's alcohol inks on! The papers are scraps, and the sentiment is TAC's Trendy Greeting set. The rest is pretty self explanatory! A trip to the hardware store for sme 'junk' and cork, and voila!

Hope you enjoy it! Again, the photo is terrible. The way the light hits it, it looks wrinkled and it is not! I promise, I am going to find an outside spot for picture taking, really I am!!!

I am going to post it over at 3 Clovers Designs, where the challenge this week, is not only to create a Father's Day card, but to be sure it has metal, etc., on it - I'm pretty sure this qualifies!
Well, I have 24 Baby Shower favors to make, which means wrapping about 288 candy nuggets! Off I go to cut and paste - lol!!!

Have a great night - see you later!
