Curly Tailed Cats

Hope your week is off to a good start!

I have two fun Technique Junkies cards to share today on the Technique Junkies blog.

Here is my first card. This was created using the Better with a Dog stamp from the February Technique Junkies release. This was one of my favorite stamps from the release! The photo doesn't show true colors. Believe it or not, the card base behind the white strips is EXACTLY the same color as the cardstock matting the image. I cut lots of white strips, and mounted them over top of the card base with dimensional foam, then stamped and matted the image, which was adhered directly to the card front.

Next up is another easy, fun card! All These Cats, was stamped in black ink onto a white card panel. I stamped a 'mask', fussy cut it, and laid the mask over top of the black stamping. I then stamped the background, using Curly Tailed Cats, and a pretty blue ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Life is better...

Hi friends!

I'm sharing a really cute card that I created with s stamp from the February release at Technique Junkies.

Life really, truly IS much better with a dog. We are still having trouble getting used to the quietness here, but are confident that we will settle into a new 'normal'! I used the stencil 'Paws', for the background, and the 'Better with a Dog' stamp for the focal panel.

I don't know why the photo turned out so dark - used my light box, and everything! The hearts are actually stenciled on with some Fuschia colored Stencil Butter. Sigh.... The blue was an accident, but I like the finished outcome, so I left it. A baby wipe with blue ink happened to fall onto the image, and of course, left a big blue smudge, so what's a girl to do, but smudge the whole project? Lol...creative opportunities, right?

Thanks for dropping by to visit today!

I have two fun cards to share today - here is the first card:

As you all know, we lost our beautiful little fur baby on New Year's Day, so I can say with all my heart that "Life is better with a dog"!!! Catherine Pooler's Midnight Ink was used to stamp this great stamp, Better with a Dog.  I had some absolutely perfect designer paper, so it was adhered to the card base, with a strip of red glitter Washi Tape between the two patterns. Last, a red glittery heart was added to the focal pane. (shhh.....this was to cover an ink spot that my clumsy fingers left on the panel!!!)

and here is card number two:

To create this card, the background, Shamrocks, was stamped in green ink onto white cardstock. The sentiment stamp, Pot of Gold, was stamped onto white cardstock with Memento Black Ink. The image was colored with Copic markers. Using some gold Stickles, I made every other coin or so sparkle. The pot was colored entirely with Glossy Accents for some gloss and shine. While this dried, I cut scraps of rainbow colored cardstock, and adhered them together. Once the focal panel was dry, the scraps were mounted behind the panel, and the entire piece was popped up with dimensional foam.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hop on with the incredible Technique Junkies team, for tons of wonderful inspiration! Here's the hop list:

Ruff Life

I'm sharing a fun card today, that I have created with a new stamp, Ruff Life, from Technique Junkies.

Here is my card:

The focal panel was stamped with Over Coffee Ink by Catherine Pooler. Once the image was in place, I scored some lines for a background. Using an ink blending brush and the Over Coffee Ink, the cardstock was distressed a bit. The panel was popped up onto a card base of the same color, using dimensional dots.

I hope you're all well, and I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today!

Math Equations

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog. I have two fun cards to share, using the 'S891 Math Equations' background stamp. What fun to work with this background - just look at all of the details!

For this first card, the background was stamped with Versamark ink onto black cardstock, and heat embossed in white. I 'framed' the panel with woodgrain to look like a chalkboard. Then, I stamped and colored the pooch and sentiment, fussy cut them, and adhered them over the background. The dog and sentiment are from #SD764 'Can't Afford the Cat'. Thought it was a perfect pairing!

The second card was easy-peasy!  I used the #S891 Math Equations, and #SD924 'Internet Browser'. Both were simply stamped onto white cardstock, and matted with black.

I'm loving this May release! Hope you are too!!!

So glad you stopped by today!
