2 Crafty Critter Crazies and Jan's Digi Images

Good morning everyone!

I have three posts today, so if you are looking for the Technique Junkies blog hop, or Repeat Impressions (The House that Stamps Built), scroll around until you find them!

Today, I am sharing another fun creation for 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!
As you know, each creation must include a critter, and you all know how much I love critters!

Since it's the first of the month, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!  We are excited to be sponsored this month by Jan's Digi Images.

This image is so much fun!  I chose to work with Swim Friends because those cute little yellow duckies made me think of bathtime with our grandchildren, and the image made me smile, as I could see me and my bestie, Shirley, loafing around so liesurely, and saying these exact things!   I colored the image with Copic Markers. After coloring, I used an Xacto knife to cut the under the one ladies arms, so I could slide the beach ball under her. I also drew thought bubbles around the sentiments, and fussy cut them. The duckies and drinks were fussy cut, as well. I created the 'counter' for the drinks by adding some super skinny Washi tape to the blue cardstock. Used Glossy Accents on pool noodles, glasses, drinks, etc. Be sure to enlarge the photo so you can see the fun accents!

Here's my card:

Aren't the duckies adorable???
Hope you like it!

Sadly, this is my last month with 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. I've been with them a year, and feel that I need to step down, and let someone else have some fun!  Hope you will all keep stopping by, and that I'll see you out in BlogLand!
Please check out the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies blog to see some great inspiration that our design team is sharing with you. We hope that you will all play along this month - can't wait to see your critter creations!

Since it's the first of the month, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!  We are excited to be sponsored this month by Lili of the Valley.

This image is so sweet!  I chose to work with Summer View, because it made me think of our granddaughter.  I colored the image with Copic Markers. After coloring, I used an Xacto knife to cut the image away from its 'frame', and then re-inserted the image, letting the 'frame' float around it.

Here's my card:

I finished out the card with a couple of die cuts. They were in my already cut 'stash', and I decided they looked pretty good together!

Aren't her critters adorable???  The little dog is looking up at her with such adoration, that the wee bunnies and butterflies were just too much fun to resist!!!

Hope you like it!

The darling image was pre-colored!  I stenciled some butterflies over the image with a stencil I found at Dollar Tree, and added a die cut Hello.  This will be mailed to VA to our girls!!!

Donna created a gorgeous set for us, "Great Horned Owl".  It has black and white, as well as several pre-colored images. It also has sentiments - you're going to love it!  This set will be the challenge prize, as well!

Donna's images are beautiful!  I couldn't wait to create with a this set. I have trouble with masculine cards, and this one rocked my world! Masculine creations made easy peasy!!!

Here's my card:

Isn't he the most majestic critter ever??? And folks, he is pre-colored! I printed him on a light Kraft cardstock, and used a cute border die around him.

This was a pre-colored image, so all I did was add a few whispy clouds, some glitter pens, and glossy accents, and frame it up on a card base. WAY too easy!

Good morning everyone!

If you are looking for my Scor-Pal post, please scroll up (down???)!

Since it's the first of December, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!

The sponsor for September Beccy's Place.  Beccy's images are so so much fun!  If you are looking for something a bit special, please take time to check out her images!  I couldn't wait to create with this fun Christmas Goose! This set includes sentiments, and reminded me so much of me that I 'needed' to grab it!
And....to make it even better, this was a pre-colored image! The tree was a free digital image that I nabbed from Beccy's blog - you need to check it out!!! Lots of fun images!  Just look for the link that says 'Free Images'.

Here's my card:

I printed the Christmas Goose image on white cardstock, then fussy cut it. Used some Glossy Accents to highlight here and there. The tree was printed on patterned paper, so that I'd have the green already there! Used some white fluff and glitter for snow peaks and snow on the ground. The background is another piece of patterned paper.

Hope you like it!

2 Crafty Critter Crazies sponsored by The Paper Shelter

Good morning everyone!

If you are looking for my Scor-Pal post, please scroll up (down???)!

Since it's the first of November, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!

The sponsor for September is The Paper Shelter.  These images are so so pretty! I printed this pre-colored image twice, once for the card base, and one to fussy cut and pop up over top of the base. On the fussy cut image, I added lots of glitter, white fluff, icy crystals, glossy accents, sparkle pen, etc. You'll just have to enlarge the photo to see all of the sparkles!

Here's my card:

As the card base is silver metallic, it was tough to photograph!

I'm going to enter this in the challenge at The Paper Shelter, 'Make it Square'!

Hope you like it!

Good morning everyone!

Since it's the first of October, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!

The sponsor for September Beccy's Place.  Beccy's images are so so much fun! I couldn't wait to color this silly critter, and loved the sentiments in the 'Poultry in Motion' digital set. I chose the one that I'd be most likely to resemble! Aren't you just so eager to color this sweetie up yourself?

Here's my card:

I printed the image on white cardstock, then used Copic markers to color 'her' (me?). Then I printed twice more on pink and blue patterned papers, cutting out only the bathrobe and coffee cup. These items were glued (paper pieced) directly onto the main image. This funky designer paper made the perfect bacground!

Hope you like it!

This image is 'A Lap Full of Kittens'. Unfortunately, like me, her momma is uber-allergic to kitties, so she may have to wait a long time to own one, but she sure loves cuddling with them!

Here's my card:

I printed the image on white cardstock, then used Copic markers and created a hardwood floor, and pretty wall for the little girl to enjoy.  I love adding to an image to create a scene.

Exciting 'Crazie' News!

Good morning everyone!
I'm super excited today to be sharing my first creation as a Design Team Member with the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!  This sounded like a fun group - each creation must include a critter, and you all know how much I love critters!

Since it's the first of June, there is a brand new challenge at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge Blog!

The sponsor for June is Rick St. DennisRick St. Dennis, MFA has been an artist, designer, stage designer, and instructor for over 45 years.  His digital stamp images can be found on Zibbet or Etsy.   On Facebook, there is the Rick St.Dennis Digi fans and friends group, where you can showcase your cards and other projects using RSD images.Rick is a very talented artist, and it was a real treat to use his fun digital image called 'Singin' in the Rain'. Here are my cards:

I printed the image twice on white cardstock, then used Copic markers and a paper towel to color the bear. I printed the image twice more on both the blue and yellow printed paper, which was paper pieced and adhered over top of the image. Fun and colorful, right? I decided to make one umbrella look more shadowed on the bottom side, and leave one all gingham. Which do you like the best? To finish things off, I sponged and splattered a background, die cut frames and sentiments, used Glossy Accents to shiny the rain gear, and assembled the cards.

Please check out the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies blog to see some fun and fabulous inspiration that the design team is sharing with you. We hope that you will all play along this month - can't wait to see your critter creations!

One additional thing, we are partnering with the Double Trouble Challenge between June 3 and June 16.  If you've done a project with a "Critter" for our challenge, and your project includes a stencil or embossing folder you can enter it over in their challenge also!  They have a couple of additional options you'll want to check out so be sure to visit them between the 3rd and the 16th.

Thanks for dropping in today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.
