"Sew" Rejected.....

Good morning!  I hope that you are having a great weekend.  Today is my workshop day, and tomorrow is a busy day as well.  We will go to church in the morning, and are going to the Fox Theater to see the live production of West Side Story in the afternoon.  Should be a wonderful day!

Since things have been "sew" hectic this week, I thought I'd share another publication reject with you.  This was for a "Sew" Thankful call.  Since sending it off, and having it declined, TAC (The Angel Company) went out of business, so I'm sorry to say that the stamps are no longer available, but I wanted to show the card anyway!

As you can see, this was created gatefold style.  The belly band was made so that the focal piece could be used as a magnet after opening the card.  I thought it turned out fairly cute...

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Monday should be back to normal.  I'm looking forward to seeing your weekend creations!

Hugs and blessings, my friends...off I go - wish me luck!

Patti J.

Sew neat. I don't understand why that didn't get published - what were they thinking? Their loss is our gain. I really like the bellyband/magnet idea. I always have trouble getting gatefolds to close. Have a great time at West Side Story. I haven't been to the Fox in years.

How creative you are! You know me, I love anything vintage and with a 'sew' awesome theme. Sounds like retirement isn't all about retiring to a chair and relaxing - hope you have fun this week-end and take time to relax on Monday!

It's fabulous! Love the fancy fold and great color combo. Keep submitting. I've had tons of rejects, but every now and then something gets picked up. You're awesome!

I can't believe they didn't choose this, Patti! This is truly amazing! I think this is one of my all-time favorites of your cards. From the special fold to the interior decor, it's just so intricate, with so many sweet details. I really like how you used the neutral colors to give it that vintage feel, too. Absolutely amazing!
