Hello everyone. Hope that your weekend was a good one. I was blessed with getting some time with DD last week, and with some crafting time this weekend, while DH is hunting. Life is good :)
There was a tutorial on Andrea Walford's blog that was part of her 12 Weeks of Christmas, and featured a CD holder type packet. When I watched the video, I first was skeptical that I'd use it for much, but suddenly, watching hers fill with those little candies, I began to think about the Pet Shelter! So.....here is my version, and it's filled with some little cat treats that my friend Shirley, donated to the cause! The only stamping was on the tag, and it's from the Amuse Holiday Tags set.
Here is what I did with the package:
|(Cropped off my label...lol)|
The photo doesn't do the basket justice, as that shrinky dinky gift bag didn't work well, but here is an idea of what the basket looks like. I neglected to take photos of the kitty food treat containers that I made (sigh...), and it's very hard to make out any details, but hopefully, you can get the idea! Thanks so much to my dear friend Shirley, who contributed a LOT to this basket!
Have a great week,
Food for thought: The replacement cost for trust, costs far more than the original purchase price.
WOW!! I am a-purrin' at that one!!! Great job!!
Cute! Benson the wonder dog would love to sample that gift package...
OMG - LOVE IT!!! How cute this turned out and then the darned shrink wrap screwed up on you - but it is still absolutely darling. Love the CD treat holder. Thanks for the "kudos".
Looks like a great basket Patti! The kitty treat pouch is neat! I bet all kinds of fun stuff will fit. TFS!

This is amazing! Love the treat idea, I have so many fur grand babies that would love getting them.
What a beautiful basket idea.
So glad you are sharing with us.
I LOVE what you did with this project - what a great take on the Christmas variation of this. Thanks so much for sharing your link!
I made some of these over the weekend. Very easy to make and create lots of different themes.
How great is that! Wondered what you were up to and then I saw Paige subbing at TKC and then I knew, she told all! Maybe when this 'work' thing slows down we can get together and do some of this.
What a great idea Patti! How true is that food for thought! It is something we tell our kids for sure!
Your box is so cute and looks amazing in the basket! Sure to make a kitty happy!
Super cute idea, Patti....love the paper and the fun little sentiment you used...I tend to forget the pet shelter during the holidays...thanks for the reminder!!!
So very cute, Patti, what a fantastic idea! Lucky kitties.
Now that's a great project for the Pet Shelter!! Way to go, gal!
Great idea Patty! I like the little treat container idea. We have some friends and relatives that we take little 'care' packages to and when they have a pet it's nice to include the furry friend as well. This is a great frestive way to share some treats.
Thanks for sharing the fun idea!
Adorable treat holder and goody basket. Hugs and smiles
What a cute packet and great addition to the basket. Hope it brings in lots of money for the shelter.
Oh, Patti, these are just adorable pet projects!!! I'm keeping Buster away from this post for sure! LOL!!!
what an adorable project and gift basket! Love the coluzzle but know what you mean about being able to whip a bunch out. As for the gift, you and Shirley are amazing and so generous. You're both to be commended!
