Gotta quit...

Thanks SO much to the ladies that have come to visit my blog. It is so exciting to see a number larger than zero in the comments!!! Lol!

However, I have run out of glue dots, glue runner refills, and am resorting to *UGH* white liquid glue! I guess it's time to stop crafting and start cleaning!

Here is my latest project - I have several gazillion post it pads of various sizes, so I've attempted a Post it Holder. Paper is DCWV, Stamps are Angel Company and Inkadinkado.

Well, we have one truck stuck at the bottom of the driveway, and are going to attempt to take another truck to town to get some groceries and GLUE DOTS! Stanley Manley is making a trial run down the hill and back up as I type! Wish us luck!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!

I'm Hopeless...

So, here it is Friday night, and I am STILL at my work space - my friend Shirley told me about Scraplings, and I tried one and can't stop! These are SO much fun, and so fast! They end up being 1 and 1/4" wide, and 4 and 1/4" tall. Can you say - YAY for scraps!

The first one I had trouble finding a scrap that I liked for the bottom, so I snipped a piece off of the last bag I got when I shopped at Red Rooster!!! The butterfly stamp is an Inkadinkado, the baby buggy is Angel Company, the three sentiments are Hero Arts, and the "I'm Thankful" is a $1 stamp from Michael's.

Here are the little inside sentiments. They are just the right size!

The card below is also made with mailing labels. I sponged the labels with Blue Ice Chalk Ink, stamped The vine (The Angel Company, Simply Divine) and the sentiment (Inkadinkado) with Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink. I mounted them on brown paper, mounted that on tan Bazzill c.s., and trimmed the bottom with my Fiskar's border punch. On the inside of the card, I put a border that would show through from the front, and used the border punch on the top of it.

I think it needs something at the bottom on the front, but can't figure out exactly what! Guess I'll sleep on it...

Hope these brought you a smile, I sure had fun 'playing' at my desk tonight! I really need to be planning a Valentine's class that I'm having next Saturday! Oh well, back to my desk...

Good night all!

TGIF...

CONGRATULATIONS to my awesome friend and teacher, Shirley Hotop for winning the Terrific Trio Contest for The Angel Company. The idea is to use one stamp three ways. Her work is beautiful! You can go to http://www.theangelcompany.net/ and then to Creative Corner, then to Contest Winners. Her entry is on the bottom right - it's a pinkish/purple "tree". You can't miss it! Open the link and say OOOH and AHHH!!! Shirley - I am SO SO SO proud of you!

This has been a long week! It's amazing how much I have enjoyed the time being snowed in here, but it's also a crazy weird feeling to know that I can't get anyplace, as well!!! I had a pretty good conversation with God yesterday, letting him know how much I appreciate the power staying on, which allowed me to clean up my work space so I could start messing it up again!

Poor Stan the Man, got in at O-dark thirty last night, and has had to turn around and head right back to Branson (4+ hours). Hopefully, he'll be back here in the a.m. We have monthly reports and (egads-we forgot them!) W-2's to get out to our employees!

Anyway, enough of that - I have a picture to post, and then I MUST go sit down with my new catalog from The Angel Company (it's their 'magalogue', Serendipity) and make out my new wish list. I am so hopelessly addicted to this hobby! Now, I just MUST figure out a way for it to bring IN some money when I retire! Let me know if you have any ideas!

I got to thinking last night that there are not many cards made to fit in a regular sized stationary envelope, so guess what I made? Yep! A tall skinny card. And with the leftover pieces, my next project will be a Scrapling!

For this card, I used Bazzill c.s., and Inkadinkadoo stamps (it's a prototype for my next class at the Red Rooster, and she sells Inkadinkadoo stamps!). I punched with a straight pin around the tan c.s. I punched out 10 mini hearts and used a black marker to dot them. I used three of the hearts to hide the birds in the tree, and seven for the 'wreath' around the Love stamp. Once I punched all of the holes, the card took just a few minutes to put together. (You can't see it, but I stamped a heart with versamark on the red c.s., giving it a patterned paper look.

Hope you like it!

Have a super Friday night - hope to 'see you' tomorrow!

I'm back!

I just love this stamp set - it is just TOO cute!!! It's the Kallioppe set from The Angel Company, and this card is for a friend at work. It's very fitting for her as she must have several thousand pairs of shoes in several thousand colors!

I'm sorry that the color is just not very good. If anyone has any 'photo hints' for taking good shots of cards and scrapbook pages, please let me know!

Tressa, Happy Birthday to you from me and your Birthday buddy, Melissa!

Good night all - Patti J.

Snow, Snow, Go Away....

28 years ago today, our precious daughter was born. Hopefully, she is having a good time in New York with friends tonight in celebration of her birthday! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Mother Nature is angry with us for something! We now have lots of snow on top of our lots of ice! I've been cooped up at home, and literally forced to clean off my workspace so that I could mess it up again!

Quite frankly, the first thing that came to mind today was spring! Thus this springtime card made out of a tye died paper that I picked up at the Red Rooster the other day. The stamps are from Stampin' Up and Inkadinkadoo.

Hope you all had a good day! See you tomorrow...

Iced In... Creations Galore!

So. I guess that by now you all know that we are indeed iced in. It just keeps coming down! I guess I should have taken a photo before it began getting dark, but I just didn't think about it. Yup, iced in - solid slick stuff!

Well, my crafting friends all know what 'iced in' translates to! Yee Ha - off to the craft room for HOURS and HOURS and HOURS!

I have a class upcoming - it is supposed to be on Saturday, but I'm fearful that won't happen! It will more than likely be next Saturday. Our project for the day is a 2009 Calendar. The store that we will have class in has tons of patterned papers the owner wants me to highlight this time, so the stamping is at a minimum, and the paper is the 'star' of the class. I'm not giving any Calendar sneek peeks in case any of my ladies are reading, however.... for each calendar page, I have also created a very very quick card highlighting the paper being used on the calendar page to show another use for it.

Since I am iced in, and bored out of my mind, I am going to include photo's of January through June in this post, and July through December later tonight or tomorrow.

Before I go, I have to tell you that my DH of nearly 37 years still surprises me with fancy gifts whenever he has the opportunity! I know I've said it before, but he IS a keeper! Anyway, I've been going through a pretty rough time lately emotionally, and sweet Manley Stanley brought me a gift last weekend! It's pictured below! Can you believe after all these years, he doesn't regret the question he never asked? Lol - it's really a joke between us. We had our first date mid-December, were married the first week in April, and neither of us can remember either of us actually saying "will you marry me".... so - he finally did it!!!

Enjoy! Have a great Tuesday!

By the way....

By the way, I am SUCH a chicken! I have been reading Marley & Me for the past week or so. The first gazillion chapters went by SO fast! Now I am at the end of the book, and I just cannot read it. I read a paragraph or two and put it down until the next night. And so it goes again and again. I am such a chicken, and I so so SO love Marley! And of course, in the back of my mind, I
am calculating our little white furball's age.....
Just had to confess my weenie-ism!
