I'm back!

Hello there!

It's August already, how did that happen so quickly?

Today, I am sharing two brand new stamps from Technique Junkies! 

I so love their release this month, and can't wait to share some cards with you!

Things are still very hectic here, but I really wanted to share the new sentiment, Look Beside You, and a great new background stamp, Painted Background, so here we go!

The first four cards were made using the Painted Background stamp, and an older sentiment set, Love, Faith, and Peace. The background was first stamped, then ink blended using the same ink color. The sentiment was also stamped with the same ink color on each card. These were easy, and could definitely be mass produced!

For this card, I used the new sentiment, Look Beside You, simply stamping in black ink onto a blank card base that was already prepped and ready to go. I think it was from a prior kit and didn't get used - easy peasy!

Sometimes, I find that patterned paper saves my bacon! When I'm in a huge rush, I almost always look for a pretty piece of patterned paper. The paper was adhered to a card base, and the sentiment was stamped and layered over top of card base, with a thin gold strip on the side. Ta-da!

I used some watercolor paper and watercolor markers for this base. I scribbled the markers over top of the stamp, and spritzed with water. It's always fun to see what the colors will look like. In this case, I tried for a rainbow look.

Black on Kraft is always a good look, so that's what happened here. The sentiment was heat embossed, but the background was simply stamped in black ink. I like the simplicity of this one.

 SO....here I am again, finally!

Seems I can't get to my room, photos, and computer, to create posts. Life has been on the wild side since dear hubby retired Feb. 28th. Hopefully in a month or so, things will quiet down for a while, at least until August 1st!

Anyway, I have some photos to share today. I'm going to begin with a coloring page that our granddaughter did last week when she was here. I showed her a bit about blending her inks as she colored, and I am in awe of her detailed coloring! She is NINE years old, folks! I was still using crayons at 9, I'm pretty sure!  Here is her beautiful work - if you get a chance, leave her a bit of love here, and I'll see that she gets it!

On to some things I've made, but not yet posted:

This is bits and pieces from a Stampin' Up! kit, and an older Stampin' Up! stamp set with the          cutest panda's.

There are several photos of the next card. This first photo is the cover, or card base, and belly band. This was a card that we made at our Card and a Cuppa that we have on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday mornings at Panera's. My friend, Ruth Petsel, led the group that day, and we made this amazing

Stadium Wave card!

I've included lots of photos, so you can see the different waving panels.

If you look closely at this one, you will see that my white bird is upside down. Oops! I have

taken it off, and have put a Happy Birthday sentiment where the bird was. Silly me!

All of the Ephemera that I used for this card is a set from Ranger that I bought at the stamp store in Kimmswick, Mo.

The next 3 cards are from a Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin kit. My bestie, Shirley and I have

decided to share a kit, as neither of us need 8, 10, or 12 of anything in the kit. These are my

share of the kit!

 Just an update:

Gail asked how I knew about my posts being unpublished. Blogger emailed me and told me each time they took one down. 

I changed the titles to just a date, and sent to the appeals link, and received emails that the posts were accepted.

Thanks for checking in on me, my friends. 2023 has been tough, so far, beginning on Jan. 1, when our fur baby crossed that rainbow bridge. It continues to be a challenge, but so far, we are hanging in there!

 Wow!

It's been a long time since I've posted anything, and I have a HUGE amount of things to share!

Things have been a bit hectic here - I won't bore you with all the details, but WILL ask for you to be patient with me for the next 5 or 6 months.

So, here are some of the things that I sure thought I had posted!

If you have questions, please ask. Otherwise, I'll just do a few 'show and tell very little' posts!

We had a 'Girl's Day In' a month or so ago to celebrate a couple of birthdays. We will do the next group of birthdays later this month.  We all brought a CAS (clean and simple) project to create, and this was my kit for the ladies:

Okay, I know that's an odd title, but for some reason, Blogger has begun UNpublishing many of my blog posts from years ago, saying that the titles were not in agreement with their policies. Hopefully, they can't find any fault with a date. 

I'm wondering if any of you are having the same issue?  So far, about 20 posts have been taken down. In my opinion, this is ridiculous, and, of course, you can talk to no one about it.  After 6 months, I'm allowed to appeal with them. 

ANYway....I am totally considering stopping my blog, and just posting on FB, and learning to do Instagram.

Have any of you had this problem yet?

This is so upsetting to me, as my blog has been sort of a diary in a lot of ways over the years. I've looked back on many older posts to remember names, places, births, deaths, etc.

Anyway, have a great day, and hope I'm alone in this battle - that none of you are experiencing issues.

Oh my...it's been a minute!

So, here I am - needing to catch up again! 

I guess that's what my next few posts will be!!!

Seriously, thanks so much for being so patient with my non-posting, and non-commenting. Between a bit of traveling, and a WHOLE LOT of Dr. appointments, it seems I am spending less and less time in my girl cave - we have one more upcoming trip, then I hope to be back on a regular basis.

On a happier note - tomorrow will be our 50th wedding anniversary! Sheesh....can you believe anyone would put up with me for 50 years???  He is a good man, and I feel so blessed that God brought us together!  We are having a date night, and I'm hoping for a Lobster dinner!

Anyway, here are some more cards that I made in a class taught by my friend, Ruth. She comes up with some of the 'funnest' dies to create with!  Hope something you see makes you smile!

Hello creative friends!

I am sharing two fun cards today over on the Technique Junkies blog. 

This first card features 2 new stamps, Coffee Girl, and Jet Fuel.

The sentiment was stamped with a pretty ink onto a white cardstock panel. Next, the image was stamped, using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The image was colored with copic markers, and a bit of stenciling was done using a Grunge Dots stencil by A Colorful Life Designs. A strip of Washi Tape was added below the image, and the focal panel was adhered to a coral colored card base.

After I looked at it a while, I decided this Coffee Girl was in need of some sass, so I applied Glossy Accents to her sunglasses!

Next up, is a fun card that features Sassy Pants from the March release, and an older stamp Drinkin' and Thinkin'.  It's been a pretty rough month here, and there were 2 or 3 days that I totally looked just like this gal! And believe me, my pants were sassy! Lol....

I used a dark gray ink to stamp and stencil on this gray card front. The stencil is Messy Diamond Grid from A Colorful Life Designs.
