Crafter's Companion - 'Florence'

Good morning!

Happy Tuesday to you all.

I'm sharing my first creation for Crafter's Companion today!

Please be gentle with me, as this is my first ever time to watercolor something other than a background. It was SO much fun coloring with Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Markers.  

Hopefully, I'll improve, as I work with them during the next several months!

Here is what I made, using these Crafter's Companion products:

The Ultimate Tool

Shimmering Cardstock - Silver Starlight

Shimmering Cardstock - Coastal Pearl

Angelica & Friends - EZ Mount Stamp Set 'Florence'

Crafter's Companion Watercolour Cardstock - Pkg. of 8 sheets

Spectrum Aqua Markers - Purple, Aquamarine, Peach, Crimson, Moss, Burgandy, Tan

Tombow Mono Multi Glue

I used Crafter's Companion Silver Starlight and Coastal Pearl Shimmering Cardstock.

They cut like butter, score like butter, and shimmer so beautifully!

                           

This is the adorable stamp set that was used.

Meet 'Florence' from the Angelica & Friends Collection.

Making this box was incredibly easy. With the Crafter's Companion Ultimate Tool, anyone can make the perfect box, and it works up so quickly! There is a groove in the scoreboard for the box, and another for the lid. 

The beautiful wavy border on the lid was also created using the Ultimate Tool.

The border was scored, and using scissors, I trimmed just under the score line. A bit

of Washi Tape and bling from my stash finished this box perfectly.

As I mentioned earlier, coloring the image was super fun. I stamped the image and heat embossed it, to help me keep my coloring in the lines. Then I just scribbled on an acrylic block, and picked up color with a water brush.

Mabel and Vera ready for Christmas!

It's the first Saturday in November, and I'm

wondering where October went?

I don't have a lot of fall stamps, so I'm going to share a very

cute Christmas card with you that I made using these

Great Impressions stamps:

I wish you could see this card with all of its gloss and sparkle! These fun

ladies are ALL decked out for the holidays!  There is bling on their

sweaters and jewelry, and shine on their glasses and shoes!

I think if you click the photo, you can see it a bit larger.

There is a fun sentiment to go with these gals that says

'Deck the Halls with Ugly Sweaters'.  You can find it HERE.

I wasn't sure how much I'd use that sentiment, so I used another 

fun, new sentiment for my card...hope you like it!

Here's a photo taken of the sentiment.

So once again, I have to laugh - these gals are always looking for fun,

just like me and my bestie Shirley do!  When this stamp came out,

we knew we just HAD to go shopping for some ugly sweaters.

We didn't find any ugly sweaters, but we did find some pretty ugly

hats!  Here's a very non-flattering selfie of us (I can't imagine that

one of us would be mean enough to give the other rabbit ears, can you?)

Exciting News!!!

Hello friends.

Happy Tuesday!

I have some exciting news to share with you today.  Some REALLY exciting news!

It's been pretty hard nearly impossible to keep this secret...

I applied for a spot on a fabulous design team a month or two ago. 

A few weeks ago, I received an email inviting me to be a part of this International Inspiration Team. 

Of course after I squealed out loud, jumped up and down, and squealed some more, I replied with a very emphatic YES!

So, as of yesterday. I am now an official member of the Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Team.

I received my first box of wonderful goodies last week, and I can't wait to get started - my first post will be up next week.  A little hint - I'll be coloring a darling image with some of the new Spectrum Aqua Watercolor markers!

Thankful...

Good morning everyone!

Happy Monday!

Great Impressions Stamps is sponsoring The Shabby Tea Room Challenge.

The challenge is 'thankful', and here is the inspirational photo they

provided us to work with:

As I was looking at my Great Impressions stamps, I realized that I'd never inked up the image I used today, and decided it was perfect for my project!

Here's what I made, using:

 G472 Sunflower Background

B193 So Thankful:

Using a very light ink, I inked the sunflower stamp all over my Kraft card front.

Then, using a darker brown ink, I stamped the sentiment on the card front, and the image three times on a Kraft focal panel. The panel was trimmed out with some burlap and twine, and adhered to the card front with foam squares.
